OOC: Good luck, Griffith!
It was Sunday afternoon, and the Mercedes-Benz Superdome was set up ready for Wrestlemania. In just a few hours, the arena would be filled with 75,000 fans from all around the world, but right now just one man was sitting in the arena – Wade Barrett. And he was reading a newspaper, as if he didn't have a care in the world. As the camera zoomed in on him, Barrett looked up and smiled. He put his paper down and began to speak.
Wade Barrett: So much news from Wrestlemania weekend so far. PJ Black is the Wrestler of the Year. If Jimmy Havoc loses to Wes Ikeda, he'll be removed as General Manager. And the biggest news of all... Wade Barrett returns to EBWF, and begins his ascent to the throne!
Barrett laughed, then continued speaking.
Wade Barrett: Marty, Marty, Marty. You've been so focused on Jimmy Havoc recently, you've struggled to concentrate in the ring. You keep losing, and instead of looking in the mirror, you're blaming it all on Havoc. Complaining that you're not getting the opportunities you deserve. Well news flash, kid – you need to earn your opportunities, and the best way to do that is to actually win a match! Havoc has taken pity on you, and given you something to fight for at Wrestlemania. But the bad news is, you've been given an opponent who has been fighting for more than 20 years. If you want to end your losing streak, Marty, then you're going to have to bring everything you've got. Because mark my words, I won't go down easy. The headline tomorrow will read "Barrett's triumphant return". The only print you'll be making, Marty, is another mark in the L column.
Barrett grinned cockily, then went back to reading his newspaper.
