Don’t Forget Me

Post by Ben M »

OOC: Really sorry for the poor showing. I’ve been having a really stressful time with work, so between that and a busy weekend seeing friends/the girlfriend I haven’t been able to find the time to write. Good luck to Al, Tony and Billy - may the best man win!

Moments earlier, Chris Jericho had beaten Matt Hardy to advance to the King of the Ring semi finals. It was the first time in many years that Jericho had made it that far in the tournament. Warfare had gone off the air, but the cameras were still rolling, so Jericho grabbed a microphone and began to speak.

Chris Jericho: Do you believe me now when I say this is the year I’m going to reclaim my throne? There is a lot of excitement in the EBWF about the new guys, and indeed all three of the other semi finalists have signed for EBWF this year. My opponent in the semi finals, Seth Rollins, became the Breakout Champion at Wrestlemania, just one month after he debuted. Tommy End debuted at the Royal Rumble and damn near won it. And Aiden English... not only is he undefeated, he became the first man to pin Braun Strowman. All worthy semi finalists, but none of them are Y2J. I am a former Royal Rumble winner, a former King of the Ring, and the only person to ever win the EBWF World Title ten times. My record speaks for itself. But since my tenth World Title reign ended 18 months ago, people keep wondering if that’s it for me. If I’ll ever win another World Title or if I’m here to make up the numbers. Well ask Matt Hardy if I’ve still got it. Ask Adam Cole and Tyler Breeze. At King of the Ring, I will prove once again that I’m the best in the world at what I do!
