Trouble in Paradise?
Trouble in Paradise?
-The scene opens up to Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana where Warfare is set to take place later on that night. It is the middle of the day as we see Renee Young and a camera crew approach the door of Seth Rollins. As she does she knocks a few times before the door swings open but Seth is still on the other side in what looks to be an argument with Paige.-
Seth Rollins: This is getting ridiculous...
Paige: Then just tell the truth!
Seth: I have been! Get that through that pretty little head of yours!
-She walks off into the bathroom and slams the door as Seth realizes he has the door open. He looks down at the Breakout Title on the couch but decides not to pick it up as he walks outside and slams the door.-
Renee Young: Is everything alright?
Seth: Everything's great!
Renee: You sure? Sounded like a little trouble in paradise.
Seth: We just like to fight so we can have makeup sex. You wanna join us later and I could show you?
Renee: I think I'll pass considering it seems like she's jealous. Could this be about your ex Zahra?
Seth: Nah that was nothing. I have nothing to say about her because I don't have anything to do with her anymore. No matter what people say or think is going on. People, especially women, like to talk. And that's all any of this is...is talk. Next question please.
Renee: I think we got off to a bad start with this interview. How about we restart?
Seth: Sounds good to me.
Renee: Hello Seth, let me start out by saying congratulations on being the 2018 EBWF King of the Ring!
Seth: Thank you!
Renee: How did it feel at the end of that night when your hand was raised and you realized that you were the King of the Ring?
Seth: It honestly didn't really hit me at first. It took me a second before I realized just how big winning the King of the Ring was and I think everyone would agree I went through two great wrestlers to get it done on that night. After a few moments once I realized I was the King of the Ring my mindset quickly shifted towards the World Title. It might have been because Miz's ugly ass was right there at ringside, but my eye quickly went to that World Title and our current World Champion. At that moment I realized that I had now earned my shot at the World Title and way sooner than anyone probably would have thought.
Renee: You always get straight to business. Did you even celebrate winning the tournament?
Seth: Of course. I went out and partied that night and Paige and I celebrated a bunch over the next few nights. But after that I got right back to business and back to training because that's one of the many things that make me the best wrestler in the world. And with my title shot coming sooner rather than later, I've got to make sure I'm ready.
Renee: How did it feel to beat some big names like Tommy End and one of the EBWF's greatest wrestlers of all time Chris Jericho?
Seth: It felt great. Mainly because I think a lot of people including both of them really underestimated me and what I can do. I don't think anyone really saw me for the talent that I am. I think they both just saw me as the Breakout Champion and thought that this is just some new guy who has had a little bit of success. But the Breakout Champion isn't a REAL contender in the King of the Ring. Is he? You're god damn right I was. I dominated my way to the Semi-Finals without even breaking a sweat and then I went on to take out two of the best wrestlers we have including, like you said, possibly the best to ever do it in Chris Jericho. I'm hoping after that beating I gave him that he can now realize that I AM a real threat and that I AM the best wrestler in the world and that's why i AM The King of the Ring!
Renee: It was a very impressive run capped off by an amazing finish. Congratulations once again. Now before we move onto your match later on tonight would you like to say any words about Aiden English and when you might face him for the Breakout Title?
Seth: You mean the same Aiden English who couldn't even make it to the Finals of the King of the Ring Tournament?
Renee: Umm...yes...
-Seth laughs for a moment before looking back into the camera.-
Seth: I honestly don't care when we face each other. He's just going to end up taking another L, because as I showed at the King of the Ring, I'm a lot better than Tommy End. As far as I'm concerned this isn't even a big deal anymore. Put this scrub in front of me, let me beat him and defend my title, and then let me move onto bigger and better things like becoming a double champion AND the World Champion at the same time. I honestly thought that Aiden English was going to make some noise here in the EBWF and be something legit. Then things started to fall apart starting with him having to cheat to beat Braun. Now we all see him for what he really is, just like I said before.
Renee: Which brings us to your match tonight where you will be going up against EC3. Do you know much about your opponent tonight?
Seth: Before the match was announced I honestly didn't know much about the guy, nor did I care. I honestly never expected to see this guy in a match in the main event but I think everyone knows that's because of who he's facing and not because of who he is. Because, quite frankly, who is he? What has he done to even deserve to step in the ring with the King? He barely made it past the first round of the King of the Ring tournament and then lost in the second round to a washed up Edge. I've got all the respect in the world for the guy but I think everyone knows that Edge isn't anywhere near his prime. I could also tell that he just plain didn't care. And EC3 STILL couldn't beat the guy. As far as I'm concerned EC3 doesn't belong in this match...
Renee: EC3 did have a big win at the King of the Ring pay per view against Dalton Castle...
Seth: I saw that and while it was an impressive win, I don't think he got Dalton Castle at his best like I did when I beat Castle a couple months ago. And while Dalton is the Gateway champion I think everyone can tell the guy is kind of checked out. He wasn't fully there for that match at King of the Ring and everyone who watched could see that. And even if he was, who cares about ONE win? Even if it was against Dalton. EC3 is main eventing because he beat Dalton Castle once? Has he even won any other matches besides the first round of the King of the Ring which was basically a bye week? I think it's easy to see that I am really not impressed with the guy at all.
-All of a sudden we hear a huge thud on the door like something has been thrown against it. Seth looks over and shakes his head.-
Seth: I hate to do it but I've got to cut this short.
Renee: Thanks for the interview and good luck...
-Seth walks into the locker room as we hear more shouting before the scene fades.-
-The scene opens back up to backstage where Warfare is just minutes away from beginning. We pan to the back where we see Seth Rollins standing in front of his traditional 'Monday Night Rollins' sign that has been placed over the Warfare sign. Rollins is in his wrestling attire and has his EBWF Breakout Title over his shoulder as he looks into the camera.-
Seth Rollins: Another week. Another main event for your new KING. I wonder if people are going to get tired of me calling myself that? I kind of hope so because that will mean a year of pissing people off. Before becoming the King the amount of disrespect I was receiving was seriously starting to piss me off. I used that as more motivation when I went on to beat everyone who was put in front of me and at the end of the day become this companies King of the Ring. Which puts me exactly where I've wanted to be the whole time. In the World Title scene. In the main event scene. And what a shocker that this week, yet again, I'm main eventing Monday Night Rollins!
This time against a guy who honestly has no place being here. EC3. I honestly can say I didn't know much about EC because he's just not good enough for me to pay attention to him. He was nonexistent in the King of the Ring tournament, I'm not even sure he has more than one handful of wins here, and any way you look at it he hasn't done much of anything except for beat Dalton Castle. I give you that was an impressive win, but that's all you've got. And even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. Enjoy being in the main event because the only reason you are is because of who you're facing. This is MY show. I've been proving it every single week for months now.
Guys like you make me sick though. You're all muscle. You're a damn meathead who doesn't really understand this game to it's fullest extent. You spend way too much time in the gym when you should be in the ring perfecting your craft. Instead you waste all those muscles and end up being just something to look at. Nobody cares how big your biceps are if you can't get the job done in the ring. I know a guy like you would love to get a shot at my title because quite frankly that's your biggest upside is possibly a future Breakout Champion. It's something you probably strive for but something that isn't even possible until I drop this belt. Which honestly who knows when that will happen considering the level of talent in the Breakout Division doesn't even come close to the talent that I have. I am a future World Champion.
I hope we see the best you've got tonight EC because tonight is the night you can really make a name for yourself by beating the King of the Ring. This win would put you on the map. And while you don't have a chance to win, you do have a chance to put on a show. You do have a chance to show everyone in the EBWF universe that you're not just a piece of meat and that you're a legit talent here. I'm hoping you're better than I think you are, but the truth is you will probably let me down. But no matter what I am going to put on a show for this crowd at your expense because that is what I do, and that is why I AM the KING.
-He stares into the camera before pointing at the Monday Night Rollins sign and then walking away as the scene fades.-
