Redemption

-Summerslam is now a memory that Big Show needs to forget. Quietness filled the arena as he sits and stares into the mirror pissed off. The biggest opportunity he had has slipped through his hand and revenge is on his mind. He pulls out his phone and finds the last picture he took that evening.-

-He closes the phone tossing it in his duffel bag. He makes sure it is zipped all the way as he bows his head lifting it slowly and looking back into the mirror-

What went wrong? Did anyone see it coming? Who cares about what I have achieved when the spotlight is no longer on me. It is about changing my approach for sure. I am curious as to how because everything seems to be a blur.

-His phone vibrates from inside the bag as he sits there still in his wrestling attire. He unzips the bag and checks the message.-

Hey, Big Show, this is EBWF personnel reaching out to you letting you know that we know the result of the match was not what you planned but you are expected in Orlando by the weekend. You have a match against Matt Hardy.

-He finishes the last word and just puts his phone back in and once again zippers his bag. He looks down as he continues speaking.-

Matt Hardy who in my opinion is one of the greatest to step into the ring. He is more hardcore than my last opponent. I am sure he has expectations that he expects to reach, however, I have different plans for him. I know what he wants but what he will be getting is something worse. My hands are shaking with destruction and when it comes down to it Matt you may retire after our match because of what I will do to you.

-He punches the mirror as it shatters instantly as glass hits the floor. He stands up looking at his hand and nothing is damaged to his surprise. He grabs his bag and heads out the door. He gets in his truck and makes the long journey to Orlando. He is halfway through the trip when he gets a facetime request from Micheal Cole. He accepts the call putting the phone on the dashboard.-

Big Show- Hey Mr. Cole how is your day going?

Micheal Cole- It is going good but I am assuming your day could be better?

Big Show- Yeah I guess you could say that Cole. I have never facetimed with you so what can I do for you?

Micheal Cole- Well rumor has it you have a match in Orlando this week and I wanted to speak with you in regards to it.

Big Show- Sounds good I am not in the best of moods just to give you fair warning.

-Big Show pulls over on the side of the road and awaits the questions.-

Micheal Cole- You lost this weekend at Summerslam and with that defeat you lost a title shot with Aiden English. Do you feel like you can even focus on Matt Hardy knowing the recent failure you had?

Big Show- Cole, it is not the first time failure has entered my life and I am sure it will happen again but I am about to do my best to make sure it does not happen for a long time. Matt Hardy is my opponent this week, unfortunately, I was hoping it was Aiden English but I will get my title shot soon I can promise you that. However, Matt Hardy is a great challenge for me. He is strong and never gives up which is why he is a pain in my ass. Matt is one of the reasons I stayed in this business for so long but I plan to show him why I am still the teacher and he is the student.

Micheal Cole- What is your gameplan for Matt Hardy? Do you not have one?

Big Show- I have been in this business for over twenty years Cole and when it comes to Matt Hardy gameplans do not work. I do have a game plan though I just have to figure out a way to make it work successfully. I am not sure I should reveal the entire gameplan but I will say that it has a lot to do with mind games and destroying Matt's will to go on. He will know exactly who I am when the match ends he will be broken and bruised.

Micheal Cole- What do you plan to do differently this week compared to last week against Hardcore Holly? He really did a number on you as you are well aware.

Big Show- Yes Cole I know exactly what happened to me last week I was there and discussing this is only pissing me off more. However, to answer your question the one thing I plan to do differently is winning the damn match. I feel that showing my dominance does not always equal winning the match. I would rather be at the top of the mountain then use up all my energy for absolutely nothing. I am a real man as I do not place blame on anyone else. I am not one of those guys that complains to the owners about the decisions because this is a business and it needs to be treated as one. There are a lot of lessons to be learned from a loss and it all starts with baby steps. What can a giant like myself do when the odds are never in my favor I get back up and try again because I am a survivor.

Michael Cole- Any final thoughts before your matchup on Wednesday night?

Big Show- Oh yes I have a lot to say in regards to my match. The first thing I want to make clear to Matt is I respect him as a man but Wednesday night is all about business and friendships do not exist when I am in the ring. You better bring your "A" game because I will certainly bring mine.

-Micheal Cole just shakes his head and speaks out of turn-

Micheal Cole- Sorry to interrupt but wasn't your A game not enough last week?

Big Show- Don't interrupt me Cole and I was getting to that point. My game was on point last week and yet I walked out of that place with a loss. This tells me that something is wrong with my game and a revenge match is this week and everything will go right for me I can just feel it.

-The face time call ends after both men say goodbye to each other. Big Show continues on his drive to Orlando. He finds his way to the parking lot and gets the first spot available. He gets out grabbing his duffel bag as he enters the arena. He throws his duffel bag down at the entrance and grabs a microphone as he makes his way to the ring. His music plays as he walks down the ramp and into the ring.-

Listen up Orlando who here is ready for the best match of the night? It is an honor to be here tonight but enough of the talk I want Matt Hardy to come out here right now. Who says we have to wait our turn let's do this old school.

-Big Show drops the microphone as he stands in the ring waiting for Matt Hardy to bring his ass to the ring.-
