The shot opened up on a small room with rows of chairs lined up in front of a small stage, a wood podium with a half dozen or more microphones and two chairs were on the stage. A small crowd of people was filing in and taking seats among the chairs arrayed before the stage. There appeared to be no dress code as attire ranged from jeans and polos to a handful of people in suits and women in business attire. As the crowd got itself seated “Moments” by Sevendust started to play and Aiden English walked out from behind the stage and stood at the podium. He smiled at the crowd in attendance. As the music started to fade out Chavo Guerrero joined him on stage and after waving to the crowd took one of the seats to the side of the podium.

Aiden English: Ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to thank everyone for showing up today. I’d also like to thank everyone watching at home for tuning in for this very important announcement today. The woman I am about to bring on this stage is by all measures the greatest woman I have ever met! She is the love of my life, the missing piece to my puzzle. She is one of the most talented athletes I’ve ever met. She is the best manager I’ve ever had working with me.

Aiden paused to let a wave of applause die down.

Aiden English: Without any further ado, let me present to you the woman who put all of this together. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage RAQUEL DIAZ!

“Moments” started playing again and Raquel walked out onto the stage to a small pop from the tiny crowd assembled. She walked to the podium and wrapped her arms around Aiden’s waist. He kissed her lightly on the forehead before turning, clapping with the crowd and took the other seat next to the podium. Raquel straightened the tight black dress she wore and giggled into the mic.

Raquel Diaz: My husband sure has a way with words doesn’t he? Let’s hear it one more time for Aiden English!

The crowd cheered more.

Raquel Diaz: And, let’s not forget the other member of the Guerrero Family on this stage. Let’s get a round of applause for my cousin and close friend, Chavo Guerrero Jr!

Once again the crowd cheered as if on command.

Raquel Diaz: Now I’m sure there are several of you in this room wanting to know why I called you here. I’m sure there are thousands of people watching on any one of the various streams online wondering the same thing. Why would the EBWF lend such a wide net to Raquel Diaz this close to one of the biggest pay per views of the year? Well, to put it simply, I’m here to address the state of the EBWF but more specifically the State of the EBWF Women’s Divison.

The crowd shuffled about. Some members pulled out audio records or notepads and pens. Everyone was more attentive now.

Raquel Diaz: Since Wrestlemania seventeen last year a dark cloud has been hanging over the EBWF Women’s Division. A dark cloud that has put the Division in an abysmal state of affairs. In fact, it got so bad that Wes Ikeda had to go and hire a General Manager to run it. Someone dedicated to maintaining order and righting the division as it spiraled into chaos, disorder and disrepair. Since the hiring of Angelina Love little has changed in the EBWF Women’s Division. No progress has been made and in fact it feels like we’ve regressed from the point we started at. Zahra Schreiber, that dark cloud I mentioned earlier, is still walking around backstage with the Women’s Title draped over her ugly shoulder. Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan can’t seem to take their focus off one another long enough to spend one night focused on winning the title. And, to top it all off Zelina Vega is considered a legitimate contender for the title. Vega? Contend? You’re better off betting on Hardcore Holly to headline Wrestlemania this year!

Raquel pulled away from the mic and look at her husband. They both laughed at her jab and parts of the crowd laughed along.

Raquel Diaz: Honestly, Bob’s career is in better shape than the EBWF Women’s Division and that alone should be enough to send every female in that locker room into a frenzy! Everyone should be out in that ring giving it everything they got every single time they get a spot on television. Every single one of these women should be performing like every match is the last match women will ever get in EBWF because, if they keep putting out lackluster matches like they have been it just may be the last Women’s Division match in EBWF.

Raquel left the podium and walked back and forth across the stage. As she passed by Aiden he held out his hand and she took it in her own. She took in a deep breath and glanced up at Chavo. Chavo started nodding at her and her smile brightened. She marched back to the mic with purpose.

Raquel Diaz: Ya no puedo soportar ver las cosas en este estado de ruina! I WILL not continue to sit here and watch the EBWF Women’s Division continue to descend into oblivion! This division, no this entire company can’t stand another two, three or four months with Zahra Schreiber with the Women’s Title. This division can’t continue with shoes being destroyed, people playing games or spitting straight fire. This Division doesn’t have another month if things don’t get shaken up AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! And A S A P is this weekend at Royal Rumble.

Raquel stepped away from the mic one more time as the crowd started to murmur in speculation of where this was headed.

Raquel Diaz: Monday Night after Warfare Chavo Guerrero Junior penned a deal with Wes Ikeda to make himself an official entrant into the two thousand and nineteen EBWF Royal Rumble. I’m proud to say that Chavo is not the only member of the Guerrero Family who took a big step that night! Renee Young asked me why I didn’t represent my cousin and client in his meeting with Mister Ikeda and it’s because I was a few doors down in Angelina Love’s office signing a deal of my own. I, RAQUEL DIAZ, have officially entered myself into the Women’s Royal Rumble where I will compete not for a shot at the EBWF Women’s Title but to become the NEXT EBWF Women’s Champion!

Raquel took a step to the side of the podium and posed as the assembled crowd took pictures and hurriedly scribbled notes. Aiden and Chavo stood up and applauded her. After a moment of solo photos both men stepped up next to Raquel and posed with her. She allowed a few more photos until she motioned for the boys to sit down and she returned to the podium.

Raquel Diaz: We’ve almost come around to a full year since my husband joined EBWF and brought me along on his exciting adventure. In that time he has become the EBWF Breakout Champion, defended it multiple times and became the EBWF Gateway Champion. Two thousand and eighteen was a historic year for our family and this year will not be any different. Aiden will go on to be the EBWF World Champion and I am going to be your next EBWF Women’s Champion! And, I’m going to do it on my first appearance in an EBWF ring because The Guerreros are LUCHA! I was born with this sport in my blood. I married into this sport to reinforce my connection to it. Wrestling forms a part of my being that these other women can’t fully comprehend. Charlotte Flair possibly comes the closest with a father almost half as legendary as my own. But even she isn’t so connected to the sport.

Raquel took one of the mics off the podium and walked down off the stage to be closer to the crowd.

Raquel Diaz: I spent years learning from my father Eddie. I spent years learning from my cousin Chavo Jr. I spent these last few years learning from my husband the EBWF Gateway Champion Aiden English! I’ve been preparing to make this debut as long as I’ve been able to walk. I’m prepared! I’ve done my homework, I know who’s in the match. I know who I need to be focused on. I know what lies ahead of me. You see, the Guerreros are the First Family of Wrestling! And the EBWF has recognized this by placing me at NUMBER ONE in the Women’s Royal Rumble. By placing my husband at NUMBER ONE in the Men’s Royal Rumble!

Raquel walked to the other side of the crowd.

Raquel Diaz: That means if I want the Women’s Title, and I DO want it, I’m going to have to fight my way through every other woman on this roster! I’m going to have to prove that I’m prepared for each of them. I’m going to have to prove that I’m worthy of the name Guerrero. I’m going to have to prove that just like my husband I’m the best EBWF has to offer. I’m going to have to beat legendary women’s wrestler Trish Stratus! A seven time EBWF Women’s Champion and three time Female Wrestler of the Year. A woman whose historic career is likely far from over! Pero, la derrotare. I will!

Once again Raquel paced.

Raquel Diaz: That means I have to fight through the daughter of wrestling legend Ric Flair! And, Charlotte may be a joke but she has a partner in this match. She has Zelina Vega. And that, the two of them working together is enough to make them a threat to anyone in the match. All Charlotte has to do is last long enough to receive that help which I don’t plan on letting happen! I’m also going to have to outlast Nikki Cross! Nikki is literally unhinged, quite possibly completely psychotic. I’m not even sure she understands the rules of the Royal Rumble! In fact, based on how much she enjoys pain, she may just eliminate herself!

Raquel walked back to the podium and put the mic back into its place. She looked over the room with a smile.

Raquel Diaz: What about the rest of the entrants into the Royal Rumble? Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, Torrie Wilson and Velvet Sky. Fourteen! Fourteen Women’s Title reigns between them! Torrie Wilson and Alexa Bliss have won two Royal Rumbles each! Torrie Wilson is a two time Queen of the Ring. There are a lot of past accomplishments in this match. PAST! Liv Morgan is so concerned with her precious shoes that she doesn’t have time to worry about a belt to finish off the ensemble! Alexa Bliss has had opportunity after opportunity to stop Zahra from becoming the longest reigning Women’s Champion in EBWF History and she’s wasted each and everyone of them! What is going to make this one any different? Torrie Wilson is coming out of retirement. Yeah, she’s had a HISTORIC EBWF career. She’s one of the best this division has ever produced. Unfortunately that too is in the PAST! At present she’s just about as much of a threat as Maria Kanellis! While Maria and her husband walk around the EBWF telling people they will show off the power of love, Aiden and I have used our love to further our careers to heights the Kanellis’s could only dream of! I’ve assisted my husband in becoming a Breakout and Gateway Champion. Is Mike either of these things? Nope. I’m well on my way to winning the Women’s Royal Rumble and becoming the EBWF Women’s Champion. Can Maria Kanellis say the same thing? Es mas facil conseguir un elefante a traves del ojo de una aguja. A really, really big elephant and a really tiny needle!

Raquel looked back at Aiden who was beaming listening to Raquel.

Raquel Diaz: When I started in EBWF, I wasn’t so well spoken. I could read from a cue card and a teleprompter with the best of them but here in the moment, on the fly I was not the best. All these long hours on the road, watching Aiden prep and research, listening to the way he carries himself on the mic. His experience and his skill has taught me everything I need to know. And for every trick I’ve picked up on the mic, he’s taught me another one in the ring. He’s been saying for months on end that I’m ready for in ring action. He’s been telling me to throw my hat into the division and clean it up. He’s told me that I can be the best of the best. And, I’m glad he’s supported me even when I didn’t think I was prepared. I’m proud of all our long talks about technical wrestling. I’m excited for many more to come. Most importantly, there’s a spot on our living room wall where I’m going to be proud to hang up my first EBWF Women’s Title!

Raquel stepped away from the podium again, this time leaving the microphones alone. She sat down on the edge of the stage, concealing herself from a good half of the gathered crowd.

Raquel Diaz: One look at Velvet Sky and you might think she’s nothing more than a pretty face. A bit of eye candy for the company to parade around the ring to get a tighter grasp on the fourteen to twenty year old male demographic. Looks, are deceiving. Velvet Sky is much more than a string bikini in the swimsuit calendar. She’s a two time EBWF Women’s Champion! She’s a very capable wrestler who hasn’t done anything as long as I’ve been here. Anyone tuning in to see the resurgence of Velvet Sky is going to be very disappointed in her showing at Royal Rumble. Now, I’m not saying she won’t have a respectable showing because she may well have one. But, she’s not going to win and that’s a guarantee. That’s a promise!

Raquel let out a sign and pulled herself back to her feet. She walked over to the podium and held up the list of Women’s Royal Rumble entrants.

Raquel Diaz: Sorry, I needed to look at the list again to see who I’m leaving off. Some of these names don’t ring a bell unfortunately. Summer Rae? Wasn’t she the woman holding the parking lot protest?

Raquel glanced back at Aiden who was nodding to her.

Raquel Diaz: She’s an active wrestler? I thought all those conspiracy theory, protest segments and complaints were a part of her being an on air personality. I thought she was a manager who didn’t have any clients and therefore nothing to do other than camera work. Man, I feel kind of bad for her now. This could be her big break. A win at the Royal Rumble could put her in the minds of the EBWF Universe as more than a crazy blonde beating a dead horse! It could be her big break. Or, I could just break her big pointy beak! Who else? Becky Lynch! How could I forget about the Queenslayer? Becky. You need to calm down. I bet you’re just boiling right now at the mere mention of your name!

Raquel put the list down and reached under the podium for something. After a few moments she found what she was looking for and stood back up. She held out a gold crown.

Raquel Diaz: A lot of people in the EBWF claim to be of royal bearing. Zelina Vega and your former friend Charlotte Flair call themselves Queens. Zahra is the “Queen of the Mountain” and maybe Queen of the Goths due to her relationship with FORMER World Champion Jimmy Havoc. Torrie Wilson was Queen of the Ring two times! Lots of royalty for you to go around slaying. But, up until Monday night you found yourself in a pit. Your career was in something of a downward spiral. Now you’re here hoping that win over Nikki is the momentum you need to win the Royal Rumble. Let me be crystal clear chica, it’s not. Your win over Nikki isn’t a step in the right direction, it’s a fluke! You see, the thing about Queenslayers is, eventually they come up against a Queen they can’t topple. I’m the immovable object standing at the top of that pit, keeping you from climbing out and righting the course of your career. I’m the Drama Queen and I will not be slain by your feeble hands! And, that leaves Mickie James.

Raquel put the crown down on the podium and walked away from it. She paced in front of the stage, walked back up to the podium, took a mic off and walked over to Aiden. She stood next to him.

Raquel Diaz: Do you remember your time in the old company Mickie? Do your remember all the things you’ve done and said? Did you ever in a million years think that one day the past would come back to haunt you? It has. The past is here.

Raquel pointed to her head.

Raquel Diaz: The past is here.

Raquel pointed to her heart.

Raquel Diaz: Your future is here!

Raquel lifted up her foot and pointed to the bottom of her heel.

Raquel Diaz: When did you debut in the old company Mickie? Does anyone here know? I do. October 10th 2005. One day after my father’s birthday, I remember because I was at the show. My father had just lost to Batista at No Mercy and you made your debut as someone’s biggest fan. But, your debut, not important in the scheme of things. The important part doesn’t come for another five years. Think hard. You’ve just been moved to the B show. After a spat with that company’s Women’s Champion you take her title to become a five-time champion yourself. It was right around this time of year when you stood in that ring and laughed at someone after being laughed at for weeks by others. You stood there and laughed at my mother in front of thousands of fans in attendance. Before laughing at Vickie Guerrero you said something important “What goes around comes around.” Well Mickie…

Raquel pointed at Chavo and herself.

Raquel Diaz: You might notice the Guerreros are settling their debts and honey it’s coming around! It’s coming around at Royal Rumble and I’m going to personally toss you out of the ring and watch your pretty little head bounce off the floor at ringside. We’ll see how much you’ll be laughing then!

The crowd cheered a hesitant cheer as Raquel thought over where to go. She started walking up and down the isle in the middle of the chairs getting closer and further from the camera in waves.

Raquel Diaz: The big threat in this match is the woman who has been the dark cloud over the Women’s Division since Wrestlemania. The woman who is now the longest reigning EBWF Women’s Champion in history. That woman is of course Zahra Schreiber. Where to start with Zahra? I could walk you through her twisted mind. I could go over how she relies on the rest of LEGION to hold onto her title. I could talk about the rumor that her title opportunity came thanks to a connection to a certain pale skinned coward. But, everyone is going to talk about those things. They always focus on those things. They always talk about the last loss being a fluke. They talk about how this time is going to be different. But, it’s never different. Insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Trying to dethrone Zahra by throwing Alexa Bliss or Liv Morgan at her is crazy! They’ve been proven to be lacking. What this division needs is something new. Something that hasn’t been tried before. Someone who hasn’t already lost to Zahra on multiple occasions. This division needs Raquel Diaz and it’s got me! And it won’t be a fluke, it won’t be because someone came out and saved me, it won’t be because Zahra didn’t have to be beat to lose the title. No, WHEN I walk out of Royal Rumble the EBWF Women’s Champion it will be because I outlasted, outsmarted, outperformed and simply BEAT every other woman the EBWF Roster had to throw at me. Including the current Champion!

Raquel walked over to the podium, picked up the crown and placed it on her head.

Raquel Diaz: This Sunday at Royal Rumble I will win. I will outlast every other woman in this company and prove that I deserve my place here. I will make my in ring debut and I will become the EBWF Women’s Champion all in one night. And, I’m going to do it while settling a nearly decade old debut with Trish Stratus’s biggest fan! Thank you all again for attending and I hope you enjoy Rumble weekend as much as my family is going to! Tomorrow on Facebook Live, Chavo Junior will be talking to you all from his morning workout and on EBWF.net the Gateway Champion, my husband, Aiden English will be giving a sit down interview with Mauro Ranallo.

Raquel stepped to the side of the podium and was joined by Aiden and Chavo. They stood on either side of her, raising her hands as the shot ended.
