The Band

Time seemingly stood still as the EBWF Universe looked up at the stage. The Royal Rumble logo remained on the titan tron for quite some time, but suddenly it went black. The Universe’s attention grew as some words begun to appear.

WHAT

DO

YOU

WANT?

Confusion took over with the question asked on the titan tron. After a few seconds of compilation, the sound system sparked to life with the answer.

”I WANNA ROCK!!”

The words echoed throughout the arena as Twisted Sister’s song “I Wanna Rock”, blasted onto the sound system. The unknown theme song brought more confusion. Smoke filtered onto the stage. Inside the smoke were two men. A tremendous roar rang out throughout the arena as Heath Slater stepped out of the smoke. Slater, dressed like he was fresh out of an 80s hair band music video, held up his hands and strummed like he was actually playing a guitar to the music.

The music stopped, but the smoke continued to filter in, keeping the second man hidden from view. Heath held his arm in the air after one final strum of his, air guitar, before he screamed out into a headset microphone.

Heath Slater: ”HELLO TEXAS!!!”

The San Antonio crowd screamed out.

Heath Slater: ”Now I don’t know about you, but I know that me, and my buddy back there, we’re ready to ROCK!

And tonight, in The Band’s debut performance, we’re going to have a battle.. We’re going to have a rumble..

All these other men, they think that they’re going to win tonight.. They think that their the best.. But they’re nothing because.. They can’t shred like The Band.. They can’t put the fans in their seats like The Band..

They can’t go on to the biggest stage of them all and tear it down with the BEST DAMN CONCERT known to man!!”

Slater screamed as he strummed his air guitar again. Through the sound system, the electric wale of real guitar was heard.

Heath Slater: ”So tonight, after The Band eliminates 28 other posers.. We’re going to go on to WrestleMania and we’re going to ROCK Mania, like never before!!

And if you’re not down with that..”

Slater laid into his air guitar as real music played through sound system. He pretended to shred it on the stage and then held his hand high in the air.

Heath Slater: ”GOOD NIGHT, SAN ANTONIO!!!”

“I Wanna Rock” blast back onto the sound system. Slater began to pretend to play the theme once more as he drifted back into the smoke and joined his mystery band mate.
