OOC: Good luck Griffith!
Monday, February 18: Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Drew McIntyre's first singles match since returning to EBWF had ended with a defeat to Andrade Cien Almas, and after the match, McIntyre had been attacked by Braun Strowman. Suffice to say, things could have gone better... and yet, as the Scottish Psychopath walked through the curtain, he was smiling. As McIntyre headed back towards his locker room, he was stopped by Cathy Kelley.
Cathy Kelley: Excuse me, Drew? I wanted to ask you about your match, and the altercation with Braun Strowman, if you have a few minutes?
McIntyre laughed, then nodded.
Drew McIntyre: You're awfully polite, aren't you? Aye, go ahead, ask your questions sweetheart.
Cathy smiled nervously.
Cathy Kelley: Well Drew, my first question is... considering you just lost, you don't seem too disappointed?
Drew McIntyre: That's not really a question, Cathy, it's more of a statement. And it's not true. I won.
McIntyre smirked. Cathy Kelley looked confused.
Cathy Kelley: What do you mean? You lost the match... and got taken out by Braun Strowman afterwards.
McIntyre nodded.
Drew McIntyre: Braun went after me, which is what I wanted – so I won. I told Braun I wanted to see the return of the monster, and that's what I got tonight. Or at least, it was the start. I won, Cathy.
Cathy Kelley: And the fact Andrade Cien Almas pinned you...
McIntyre interrupted.
Drew McIntyre: A necessary sacrifice. Regrettable, but I'm playing the long game. One of two things is going to happen, Cathy. Either Braun Strowman is going to work with me, and together we will wreak chaos, or we're going to go to war. Either way, in the end, Andrade's victory will be just like him – insignificant. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a flight to catch.
McIntyre walked past Cathy Kelley, bringing the interview to an abrupt end.

It was less than 30 minutes until Warfare went on the air, and the Denny Sanford Premier Center was quickly filling up. Ring announcer Christy Hemme was already at ringside, and she announced a dark match between two local wrestlers, Rich Maxwell and Nicky Valentine. The first wrestler, Rich Maxwell, was on his way to the ring when "Broken Dreams" by Shaman's Harvest hit and Drew McIntyre stepped out onto the stage. Maxwell turned around, surprised to see McIntyre. McIntyre walked towards him, and hit him with a clothesline! Maxwell fell to the ground, and McIntyre dragged him to his feet, hitting him with a DDT on the ramp. The man who was supposed to be facing Maxwell, Nicky Valentine, walked out, but he took one look at McIntyre then quickly retreated, walking back through the curtain. McIntyre laughed, then walked down the ramp, grabbing a microphone from Christy Hemme at ringside and entering the ring.
Drew McIntyre: Sorry to deprive you all of a match between two wrestlers who quite frankly, have no business being anywhere near an EBWF ring, but I've got something I want to say. Last week, in an interview which was uploaded to EBWF.net, I said that I got what I wanted, because I had reignited the fire in Braun Strowman. I admitted that I didn't care about losing to Andrade Cien Almas, because Andrade is insignificant. Barely a step above that jobber I left laid out on the ramp. But thanks to the joy that is social media, I've spent the whole week being accused of lying and making excuses. Well let me make one thing clear – every word that comes out of my mouth is the truth. I don't make excuses, I speak my mind, and when I fuck up, I'll be the first to admit it. Do I wish I hadn't been distracted by Braun Strowman last week? Yes. Because I was looking forward to kicking Andrade Cien Almas' head off. But the fact remains, I was happy to see Strowman, hell I was even happier that he attacked me after the match. Because that means I've got his attention. And like I said, Strowman can either be my ally or my enemy... but either way, sparks will fly.
McIntyre grinned, then continued to speak.
Drew McIntyre: As for tonight, I have another chance to prove what I am capable of, when I go one on one with Marty Scurll. I've got a lot of respect for Marty – he's a fellow Brit, and a very talented one at that. But he is not on my level. He's not even a heavyweight. A few years ago, Marty appeared on a British dating show called Take Me Out, and that's exactly what I'm going to do – take him out. Because the "Villain" is nothing more than a whiny little bitch.
McIntyre dropped the microphone and rolled out of the ring, then walked back up the ramp.
I Win.
