How Could You Be SO Stupid?

The time had come. AJ Styles- The Miz. It was a rematch of a rematch of a rematch- a friendship and a rivalry for the ages. As far back as you can look in EBWF History there weren't too many men with the history as topsy turvy as the two warriors that would compete in 2019 King of the Ring's main event. In a story that could have warmed anyone's heart, AJ had returned to seemingly help his friend against 2 men that had been terrorizing the EBWF Champion. It was a friend in need, that brought the estranged Styles back to the EBWF only for The Miz to pull the rug out from under him, and join forces with those 2 men to stab his friend in the back and assert his dominance as the reigning EBWF World Champion. It was so Miz in nature- except that in the more recent past- it was NOTHING like The Miz that we were all getting to know. A Miz that smiled, shared his personal life with the world, a Miz that seemed to be over all of his past vindictive short cut taking ways. A Miz that loved the people, and who the people were just starting to love right back. Nobody could believe it when this new version of Trilogy formed at Styles expense, and The Miz in a flash reverted back to the evil puppet master who would do anything to get ahead no matter what type of person it made him appear to be, or how many people he had to use to get the result that he seeked. We thought Miz had turned the corner, matured, grown into a true fighter, an honorable champion, but what he showed is that somethings never change- and in his fourth reign as the EBWF Champion- much to the dismay of his fans turned haters- him at the top of the company was just one of those things that hadn't changed in awhile. AJ Styles was the one man that could stand in his way, the one man that could save the EBWF Nation of a continued reign of a man who would clearly stop at nothing to show that no matter how long he carried on pretending- he would never have a conscious- and he would ALWAYS be obsessed with winning.

The scene opened up in a nice looking room. There was a wooden floor, and the back drop was the EBWF logo. Marble counter-tops inhabited the back of the scene where some camera equipment and wires rested. All of a sudden, Jim Ross walked into the scene. He wore a long sleeve black EBWF polo and his trademark cowboy hat. Jim was a long time announcer in the EBWF who had not been on air in quite some time. He had been an individual who always had his own opinion of The Miz but also deep down though The Miz could develop into someone that had an inordinate amount of success in the company. Jim put his microphone on his shirt with a clip. The camera began to roll, and that unmistakable voice began.

Jim Ross: Ladies and Gentlemen I'm pleased to welcome everyone back to the EBWF Live podcast, we're coming to you live via XM Radio- as well as video stream on Facebook live, youtube, and the EBWF App. We have a very special edition of the show today, as we are just days away from a very much anticipated King of the Ring. The men and women of the EBWF squared circle have been competing tournament style now for several weeks, and we are very close indeed from crowning a new King and Queen of the EBWF. In addition, and certainly not to be overlooked, the EBWF Title will be up for grabs in the nights main event. It is a match that many thought we would never see again, as the EBWF Champion Miz will go up against a man who recently burst back onto EBWF programming in AJ Styles. These two have a tremendous history that dates back as far as 2012 and this in my opinion may be as personal as it's ever been, due to the nature of which we have come to this final battle. The Miz has enjoyed a nice reign as the companies champion, but with large success often comes a larger target. The Miz appeared to have a Texas sized bullseye on his back and was the victim of a number of attacks and harassing of two masked assailants. This led to The Miz calling in the cavalry in the person of Styles, who willingly returned to help his friend combat these incidents. However, The Miz next move shook the EBWF universe to its core, as he stunningly aligned himself with his two attackers Ted DiBiase and Alex Riley, and formed a 2019 version of the famous stable Trilogy, that Styles himself formed with The Miz several years ago. Since then, these two men have been on a crash course that leads us directly into this Sunday's main event. The Miz and his Trilogy brethren attempted to show just how on top of the business they were, by literally sitting on top of the stadium in a skybox on last Monday's Warfare, but their pea-cocking ultimately back fired in a large way, as AJ Styles worked his way into the booth and ended Warfare by beating The Miz like a scalded dog, much to the delight of those in attendance. This is the lasting image that fans have going into Sunday. The Miz for days after was not able to be reached for comment, but fortunately enough we just heard back from him, and he, Riley, and DiBiase will all be in studio today to join us on the EBWF Live podcast. It will be the first time anyone has seen or spoken to him since Monday Night.

The door opened in the back of the shot, and The Miz, Alex Riley, and Ted DiBiase all made their way into the room. Each of them dressed in Armani Suits and they all donned Sunglasses indoors. Their hair was gelled and slicked to the nines, as they made their way towards Ross and the three empty chairs that were quickly brought in my crew members. Jim awkwardly stood up in his chair and attempted to extend his arm for a handshake, but The Miz looked at it and then looked at Jim, and then sat down in his seat without shaking. Ted and Alex followed suit. The Miz, who wore the EBWF Championship over his shoulder. Looked blankly into space as Jim's eyes never left the champion.

Jim Ross: Well Miz, Alex, Ted, thank you for being here on the podcast. The EBWF universe has been waiting to hear from you after last Monday's events. Up until that point you had clearly rattled AJ with the formation of this group, but his response- being that it was so emphatic- has really gathered a lot of buzz and I'm just curious as to..

The Miz couldn't listen any longer.

The Miz: Jim I'm just going to stop your babbling, just like the EBWF higher ups did when they replaced you with that human reptile Corey Graves, and that other guy who sits with him.

Jim Ross: Well actually I..

Ted now cut in.

Ted DiBiase: Just shut it Jim, if you know what's good for you.

The Miz slightly looked to his left in the direction of Ted and then brought his head forward again, still not looking in Jim's direction. Miz seemed almost deranged.

The Miz: Jim, what people don't seem to realize, is that I haven't been avoiding people. I'm not upset about what happened this past Monday to the point that I can't discuss it. The pure and utter fact- is that I haven't responded or spoken with anyone.. because simply nobody is worth my time or my words. They aren't worth my presence and they sure aren't worth any of my feelings. I agreed to meet with you today, because even though nobody deserves this type of time to hear me speak, I have a few things I want to get out to the man who I'll be sharing the ring with on Monday. AJ- you god damn imbecile. How could you be so stupid as to fall into such an obvious trap that I laid out for you. How long have you known me? How long have you been exposed to the dominance and the excellence that I have exuded onto audiences year after year. I am the EBWF World Champion- the reigning- undisputed best wrestler on the planet.. or the galaxy.. as you say when you stole my catch phrase- just like you've been trying to style my entire life since we've met. How could you be so gullible, so ignorant, when you are supposed to be the one that knows me better than anyone else. Do you really think that someone of my status in this business.. would NEED your help? Did you really think that someone of my pride and my accomplishments would reach out to you and plead with you to return to "protect" me? AJ, my dearest "friend" you MUST have known that I don't need PROTECTION from anyone.. and your narrow mindedness let you right into a spot of a person who is ACTUALLY going to need protecting. You see AJ a long time ago you put me out of action. You had an opportunity to beat me, but it was more than a victory you wanted.. you wanted to end me. You wanted me gone for good, and though there have been times since then where we've come to an understanding.. nothing is ever forgotten. The persona that I have played over most recent memory was all part of this elaborate scheme to really make you believe that I was some beloved icon. That I had gotten so soft, that I was this "damsel in distress" and god do I know how much that gets you going.. god do I know how much you love to come in and make the big entrance and the big return and be the big hero. So it was no surprise to me or anyone that you jumped at that chance to not only be the knight in shining armor, but also show the one thing that you have NEVER gotten tired of trying to prove.. and that is that YOU were BETTER THAN ME.. that I needed YOU.. more than YOU needed ME.. and AJ- that just couldn't be further from the reality. So what I did- was I baited you- I set you up- and standing beside me right now are two men that understood you and the kind of person you are.. the two men with me now in the NEW TRILOGY are the two men that get just how messed up your brain really is.. how foolish your pride and how reckless your ego really is. They get what your motives were- and they enjoyed nothing more than helping me pull off this perfect plan. The last few weeks, I've heard all of this "why Miz? Why would you do such a thing? We thought you loved of us" from the pandering MizTAKES of the EBWF universe. The answer is simple- I used you. I never ONCE had ANY love or adoration for the people that watch our show, I am consumed, obsessed, and UTTERLY driven by being the EBWF Champion- it is to the point that I know everything and everyone around me that is capable to changing the fact that I am just that. AJ Styles return is something that I've been waiting on.. and instead of it catching me off guard.. I decided to initiate it myself.. I decided to dictate when the only man that HAS ever truly challenged me would return.. and I decided to strike first. I decide to finally let AJ know where I stand.. I simply don't care about a personal relationship.. I don't care about ANYTHING.. you hear me.. ANYTHING.. but this..

The Miz held it up.

The Miz: You see it JIM?! YOU SEE IT ROSS?!

The Miz held the belt right into Jim's face who was now cringing and sitting back in his seat.

Jim Ross: I see it.. I see it.

The Miz: THIS. THIS is what I care about. This is who I am.. THIS is what I can not and WILL NOT let AJ Styles or anyone else for that matter have. How god damn stupid are you AJ?! HUH!? HOW STUPID ARE YOU!?

The Miz calmed himself down and once again spoke calmly.

The Miz: AJ- you had the drive that I have once- you had that same fire - that same insane approach to going after success.. but somewhere along the line you lost it. You lost that ability to really mean it when you say - "whatever it takes" now the only thing you're truly obsessed with is the pop of the crowd when you return after months of being away. It's why you can't stick around.. it's why you DON'T fulfill any of your empty promises.. it's why you're a complete INFERIOR to the man who you THOUGHT was your friend that you're staring at right now. While you've been off and away- I have carried this company on my back- waiting- WAITING for you to walk back through that door- because I KNOW that despite all the texts and the congratulations and the "I'm rooting for you's" it had to be EATING you ALIVE to see me on top of the company. It had to be EATING YOU from the INSIDE to see me arise as the EBWF's BIGGEST STAR not just of recent memory.. but THE BIGGEST STAR EVER. It was something that used to mean something to you.. but it was something that you never quite had the heart to achieve.. well I've achieved it.. I AM IT. So when your phone rang, and it was me on the other end, asking you to come back and have my back.. your mind when right to where I knew it would. You agreed with a hidden agenda. You were SURELY going to help me with this task.. only to turn your back on me later.. to ensure that you could get one up on me and attempt to knock me off the pedestal you NEVER truly wanted to see me on. The unfortunate thing for you AJ, is that you were a mere pawn in my quest to FINALLY wake everyone the hell up to the fact that I am NOT. FUCKING. AROUND. My kindness of late.. has NEVER been weakness.. but my kindness of late has also never been REAL. I'm NOT kind AJ- you and I both know that- I'm NOT nice- I'm NOT caring- I'm NOT compassionate- I'm NOT ANYTHING- EXCEPT THE BEST GOD DAMN WRESTLER TO EVER FUCKING EXIST. I'm THE EBWF CHAMPION- and after King of the Ring- I'm still going to be the EBWF Champion, and I'm going to look down at you on Sunday rolling around in your own pathetic, and I'm going to be beyond satisfied with the fact that your most recent return finished just about the COMPLETE opposite as the way you envisioned it. The way you concocted this comeback, the way you saw it playing out.. is just something that I was NEVER going to let happen. You had to know that... except.. we both know... you didn't.

Jim Ross nodded taking it all in.

Jim Ross: What say you Alex? Ted? Why after all the things that The Miz has done to you in the past? Why realign with him? He just said it himself.. he's not ever what he seems.. does it worry you that he'll turn his back on you both once again the second it is in his best interest? Why help him?

Ted and Alex both smirked.

Ted DiBiase: Jim what you don't seem to get is that The Miz, myself, and Alex.. though we have a history like you mentioned.. we also have an understanding. Miz may be one of the coldest superstars in the history of the company- but he also is someone that if you accept him for who he is.. who he TRULY is.. he is going to help you get your own success as well. In the past Jim, I've had my own ambitions, my own hopes, my own dreams.. but now.. and I truly mean this.. my GOALS lie in the success of The Miz.. my DREAM is to have The Miz remain at the top of this business.. because in my heart Jim- I believe that is what SHOULD BE. I understand The Miz- I understand that he NEEDS to be the best and he would step on the knife already in my back if I tried to take that from him. Ted DiBiase is a man who is going to have plenty of individual success in his own right, but it will be under the guidance of the champion, Trilogy fell apart back then, because it's members including myself were blinded by their own ambitions. This time Alex and myself both believe that it will only TRULY work with ONE leader. We both believe that it is the MIZ that is going to help us become the best versions of ourselves.. the most destructive Ted DiBiase and the most diabolical Alex Riley the EBWF has ever seen. We aren't going to be the EBWF Champion- because THE MIZ is- but what we are going to do is DESTROY ANYONE that comes in our path as a group.. the past is gone Jim.. the present is the time of THE MIZ and the TRILOGY running ROUGH SHOT over this entire company.

The Miz strangely once again only slightly cocked his head towards Ted as he spoke. It was almost as if Ted had been brainwashed.

Alex Riley: Miz and I have been through it all as well Jim- but he is a guy that is responsible in one way or another for ANY success that I've had in the EBWF. I believe in him, I believe in what he says, I believe that AJ Styles came back to the EBWF with the scheme in mind that Miz just laid out for you.. and I'm dead set against AJ Styles being back and having any type of success. I'm dead set against ANYONE but THE MIZ having success Jim, because nobody else deserves it. I've watched Miz scratch and claw for everything that he's done.. I've watched him kill himself to be where he is now.. and it is going to be my honor.. my privilege to aid him as a member of the Trilogy, to make sure THAT NOTHING stands in our path of utter and COMPLETE dominance.

The Miz cocked his head slightly towards Alex as he spoke as well, never facing in his direction.

The Miz: Honestly Jim, I wish that neither Alex or Ted even addressed your condescending question. Do you think I've been anything but forthright with them about my intentions? Do you think I would have involved them in this, and tried to pull the wool over their eyes? I AM THE LEADER OF THIS GROUP- and OF THIS BUSINESS- I involved them because they UNDERSTAND THAT.. everybody in this business that I've chosen to TRUST over the years has NOT GOTTEN THAT. Every SINGLE PERSON.. including these two..at one point or another has gotten a little taste of success BECAUSE OF THE OPPORTUNITIES THAT I GAVE THEM and that SWEET ambrosia has caused them all to turn their backs on me in search of the LIFE that only I AM CAPABLE OF HAVING. Alex and Ted have tried and failed to get one over on me. They both have had some flash in the pan runs at my expense but in the end Jim.. where have they been for the last several months? They've been home.. sitting.. watching.. admiring the guy who TOLD THEM BOTH.. from day one who the star of this show was.. and now Jim.. NOW they understand that they SHOULD HAVE NEVER gone against me in the first place.. and because they FULLY understand that.. and they fully accept that.. as you heard them BOTH just say.. I know now that THIS is the only time I can truly trust that they are ready to be dangerous.. that WE are ready to be a LETHAL INJECTION to the veins of the EBWF.. and the first victim of Trilogy's DEATH ROW.. is AJ Styles. Ted and Alex are not WEAK for coming to this absolute TRUTH.. they are strong for being able to accept it. AJ Styles is WEAK Jim because he will NEVER ACCEPT IT. AJ Styles is weak because he will ALWAYS hang on.. he will ALWAYS crave the top spot.. that he was NEVER worthy of. He too Jim.. will soon be back to sitting.. watching.. admiring.. the man who he TOLD HIM from day one who the star of the show was.. but unlike Alex and Ted who are now saved under my guidance.. AJ is the one who no matter how many times I tell him.. WILL NEVER understand that he should have NEVER gone against me in the first place.. because he's stupid.. what happens to you AJ on Sunday.. is because you're STUPID..you're STUPID AJ.. how could you be so god damn stupid...and you want me to feel bad? These people want me to feel bad for my actions? How could I EVER feel bad about AJ's STUPID MISTAKE? The answer is simple.. I won't. Will I retain the title at your expense Sunday, AJ? The answer is simple.. I will.

BECAUSE I'M THE MIZ...

and I'm...

Awesome.

The Miz ripped up his mic as did the rest of the trilogy. They stormed out of the room before Ross could even get in a final comment prior to their departure.
