Renee Young was seen standing in the backstage area in front of an EBWF Logo. She gave the viewers at home a big smile, and began speaking into a microphone.
Renee Young: Ladies and Gentlemen, please allow me to welcome to the EBWF, the Sassy Southern Belle, Lacey Evans.
Lacey sashayed into the frame, her perfectly matte red lipstick outlining a self-satisfied smirk. She was pulling off her white gloves, and once they were removed, she reached up to adjust the brim of her elegant hat. She acknowledged Renee with a look of sincerity, and spoke in her southern drawl.
Lacey Evans: Thank you, Renee. I am delighted to make your acquaintance. I do hope that the EBWF is pleased to make mine.
Renee Young: I’m sure they are, and tonight you have the opportunity to make the first impression when you face Britt Baker in the Queen of the Ring tournament.
Lacey Evans: As we know, Renee, first impressions are very important. And tonight I intend to prove to the EBWF administration that they’ve done the right thing by signing me. When I look around this division, it’s clear that what EBWF needs right now is a woman who isn’t afraid to stand up for what she truly believes in. A woman who isn’t afraid to say that Trish Stratus, EBWF Women’s Champion, isn’t the best this organization can do. EBWF needs a truth teller, and EBWF need a bit of class in the women’s locker room. Besides my present company, of course.
Renee grinned at the minor compliment and continued.
Renee Young: As you know, Britt Baker is also new to EBWF. Does she help or hurt your cause of improving the women’s division?
Lacey Evans: Well, sweetheart, there’s no silly question, so I’m going to let that little inquiry slide. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. How prestigious. A professional in our midsts. A very learned woman indeed. Now, I’m all for female empowerment, Renee. But there’s a difference, a big difference, between empowerment and arrogance, and from what I’ve heard Britt Baker has arrogance in spades. It’s not enough that she’s a woman with two careers. She can’t leave some of the success to the rest of us. But from what I understand, she makes it her mission to keep her boot on the hand of any woman who dares oppose her. You know that saying ‘empowered women, empower women’?
Renee nodded.
Lacey Evans: Britt Baker feels the need to brag and boast because she’s afraid that there’s no room for her at the top. And as long as I’m in EBWF that’s just going to be her fearing what she will become. Bless her heart. Ya see, Renee. Britt Baker is a nasty. And tonight, I’m going to expose her and send her back to her dental practice with a few missing teeth, a couple of screws loose, and a fear of ever stepping into the ring again. After all…
She raised her right fist, and tightened it before looking into the camera.
Lacey Evans: …that’s a woman’s right.
Lacey grinned before walking out of the frame as the scene faded to black.
