As the scene comes into fruition, we find EBWF's backstage interviewer, Charly Caruso, standing by with a mic in hand as she flashes the camera a smile.
Charly Caruso: Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to Warfare! I'm backstage correspondent Charly Caruso and tonight I'm joined by an extra special guest. After making her EBWF debut at the tail-end of 2020, last week she managed to do the unthinkable when she finally de-throned Trish Stratus at the Royal Rumble! Please welcome the NEW EBWF Women's Champion, Tam Nakano!
Tam bounced into shot with a beaming grin from ear to ear, proudly flaunting her recently acquired hardware over her shoulder before pulling Charly in for a big hug.
Tam Nakano: Thank you so much, Charly! The Royal Rumble was a night I'll never forget!
Charly Caruso: I can imagine! But before we get into the details of your huge victory... how's P-Chan doing?
Tam Nakano: P-Chan is doing amazing for a stuffed Panda who recently had his head torn clean off of his body! And while he's not at 100% just yet, I suspect he'll be back to terrorize the men and women of EBWF in no time.
Charly Caruso: If you're watching this P-Chan, I hope you get better soon! But moving onto your big match at the Royal Rumble, the EBWF universe seems divided over the result of the women's championship bout. While many of your fans took to social media to celebrate your title win, many are completely shocked that you managed to put away one of the most decorated women in wrestling history! What do you say to these fans?
Adjusting the championship gold hanging from her shoulder, Tam wasted no time in responding.
Tam Nakano: When you put two strong, passionate women in the same ring? Public opinion is bound to be divided! Trish walked into the match and brought everything she had to the table just like I knew she would. And while she might have ultimately lost in the end? She certainly wasn't defeated. She and I put on one hell of a match at the Royal Rumble. A match that, no matter the outcome, will undoubtedly go down in EBWF history as one of the greats. She didn't have to, but she proved exactly why they call her the Quintessential Diva because she is the full package. Sadly for Trish, however? Her time was up. I wasn't about to leave that ring until I had the EBWF Women's Championship wrapped around my waist, and that's exactly what happened. I took home the gold. I ended the longest reign in the history of this title, and I made my dream a reality!
Charly Caruso: Well as it happens, you weren't the only woman to show out at the Royal Rumble after Raquel Diaz picked up the win in the Women's Rumble match for a second time in her career. As a result? She has earned herself a shot at the EBWF Women's Championship against you at WrestleMania, should you still be champion. Any thoughts?
Tam Nakano: When I took a look at the participants for this year's Women's Rumble, I had a feeling Raquel would take it home. I mean, I speak from experience when I say that she's one tough cookie! Congratulations, Raquel. I mean it with absolute sincerity when I say you deserve a shot at this title, but when the time comes for you and I to get back in the ring? I'll make sure to right the wrong that happened last month. You have the distinction of so far being the first and only woman to beat me since I debuted last year, and I can't think of a better place to redeem myself than at the Grandest Stage of them All. I'll see ya' there, buddy!
Charly Caruso: Until then, tonight you'll go head to head against the self-proclaimed Baddest Woman on the Planet, Ronda Rousey! Do you have any sort of strategy going into this one?
Tam Nakano: And what a strange nickname! Calling yourself the baddest woman? Being bad isn't something to brag about, Ronda!
Charly Caruso: Um... I don't think that's quite what she means.
The EBWF Women's Champion continued, ignoring Charly.
Tam Nakano: Ronda Rousey might be the Baddest Woman on the Planet, but I'm the Cutest Wrestler in the Cosmos, so clearly she's out of her element here! But I'm willing to give Ronda the benefit of the doubt nonetheless. Just like I'll get a chance to redeem myself against Raquel at WrestleMania, tonight is Ronda's chance to redeem herself of the poor showing she gave at the Royal Rumble and prove that she's more than capable of being a contender for this title. As far as strategy goes? I guess I don't really have one. I'm not too familiar with the work of Miss Ronda, but what I do know is that she made her humble beginnings fighting people in some sort of cage, realized that she's waaaaay out of her element, and then landed here in EBWF only to run into the same problem! Right?
Charly Caruso: I'd avoid saying that to her face if I were you...
Tam Nakano: Either way, I'm not about to kick off my reign by losing tonight. Ronda, if you're watching this right now, I need you to know it's nothing personal. I made a promise to be a strong and ferocious fighting champion, and that starts right here in this building... by beating you! Ganbattekudasai! Bye!
Blowing the camera a kiss, Tam exits the shot before the scene ends.
