Slowly as we enter the frame we find ourselves wrapped in nothing but darkness, no lights no sights, no hope just an empty and eerie sound. For a brief few minutes just the sound of silence to fill the air. After a few moments however we slowly begin to have the darkness escape and instead fill with color as we enter the frame of the video feed. As the darkness washes away we find ourselves in front of Raven, sitting alone and looking rather rested and to a lesser extent happy. It had been a week since he had been seen, one week since he had been heard from and yet it was a comfortable silence. As we begin to open into the frame we find Raven not hidden outside in the world. Instead we find him sitting on the armchair near his run down hotel room window.
Raven: The dreams of the weak hearted slowly disappeared when the bell rung and the illusion of the dream became just that, a dream.
Stripped from his normal attire we find him in a pair of jogging pants and no t-shirt with visual signs of his ribs wrapped and taped after last week’s beating he took from The Coalition. He sat there, looking normal but yet he had something about him, that even when stripped from the illusion of fear he wraps himself in that he was still a dangerous man. As he sat there in his own silence we finally see him begin to clear his throat as he takes a sip from the cup of coffee he has next to him before staring at the camera he has set in front of him.
Raven: I think, Bray that I can reflect the sentiments we both expressed in those cold thoughts that live inside our heads. It certainly does feel like we're traveling back in time, doesn't it? Back to our roots, back to a younger time...for us both.
Chuckling as he takes another sip from his coffee cup and pauses for a brief moment.
Raven: You see here in the EBWF we have found ourselves in a standing where our Champion has no one to fight, the good ship of contenders has sailed its course and it now lays dormant at the bottom of the sea as nothing more than shipwreck. You see Bray that’s where you and I come in
Pausing once more as he pushes himself up, through his hardened look you can see his face wince in pain before he makes his way to the nearby window.
Raven: You see Bray I like you; I honestly enjoy how you approach everything with an optimistic view of things getting better. But to save you the time this week won’t be getting better and if you’re smart you just won’t show up. I mean I’m not one to say but well I’m not a good person Bray, I do evil things because I enjoy it. And if you make your way to that ring and stand across from me I can promise you one thing and one thing only.
Resting his head on the window we watch as Raven takes a long, deep breath in before exhaling, leaving a fog stain on the window pane.
Raven: I can promise you that it’s not the physical damage that will haunt you forever Bray, it’s the mental damage. It’s the idea that every single time you close your eyes you will see my face and you will remember the twisted and vile things I do in order to simply win
Raven pauses briefly for a moment as he turns from the window and returns to his seat in the arm chair.
Raven: Bray I’m a bad person who is limping into this match barely removed from the ASSULT I took at Warfare last week .
Raven slides his tongue across his teeth from the pain he clearly is in from the beat down
Raven: Kane, Maven, Christian can’t stop me, gravity can’t stop me, and Bray there isn’t enough angels in heaven that can sing you such a beautiful swan song heavy enough to stop me from making my way to the top. So take notes because when this is said and done ONCE THE SMOKE HAS CLEARED... all that will be left for you Bray is a comforting silence of darkness and my presence haunting your dreams forever
Letting out a sick sly grin Raven continues
Raven: But if you wish to fight tooth and nail, If you wish to bring such heartache and trouble into your life then I have no problem becoming the creator of such distress. Because like it or not everything they say about me is TRUE, the things I do aren’t for shock value, the violent things I do to men like you are so i don't become forgotten, It’s so the name Raven doesn't become EXTINCT.....
Raven tilts his head
Raven: People hate me because I do things they wish they could do. In the darkest sections of people’s minds, I have done some things that you have only dreamt about in a wet dream. I make people suffer because suffering is the only way to know you’re still alive.
Raven brushes his hair out of his eyes
Raven: If you wish to fight me then the suffering you will face will transcend for eternity, each punch and strike will haunt your memory like a dagger stabbing you in the ribs when you sleep. Your fears will become phobias and you will become a shell of your former self. Bray this isn’t just the loveable Raven blowing smoke simply uttering idle threats of things I would wish to do to you
Raven begins to punch himself in the forehead re busting of his cut he sustained last week on Warfare
Raven: ASK CHRISTIAN AND TELL ME he hasn’t been the same person; look at The Coalition and tell me that I haven’t become the desire of their rage. People talk about you being this strong figure that is long needed in our industry. But truth be told Bray you are NOTHING
A slight pause from Raven
Raven: ....nothing more than the sacrificial lamb in a war you cannot win.... So it is written, so it shall come to pass. Quote The Raven Nevermore!
We the viewer are left with Raven grabbing a t-shirt from the bed Raven tosses it on and the camera zooms in close up on the shirt with the image of The Bálor Club showing before the video feed ends and nothing but blackness takes over the screen.
