As night fell, the city lit ablaze with tiny little neon lights. At the mountain, you could see it all. The lights are buzzing and brimming as the sun descending over the harbor. The limit was the horizon. But tonight, Bad Luck Fale sat atop the mountain peak and felt that the horizon was just the beginning.
Bad Luck Fale: It's beautiful, isn’t it?
Cameras fixates on Bad Luck's gaze, lingering beyond the scene and over the mountain. Lights twinkling, the sounds of the city heard in the far-off distance. His question is rhetorical, not directed at the camera crew but rather at the scene around himself. It's true it is beautiful. But that, too, is not the point.
Bad Luck Fale: A place like this? It reminds you of a lot of things. It reminds you... just how small we really are. That all the things in life that you think are important, from the drama to the trivial possessions, are anything but. It reminds you that the world, and life, is bigger than you think. No matter what you tell yourself, what others tell you, or what you may think lays ahead of you... the possibilities are always endless.
Bad Luck scans the view
Bad Luck Fale: The choices we make in life, the roads that open and close... are limitless.
It's quiet, serene... the scene is still.
Bad Luck's attention finally draws to the camera crew beside him. His lips betray the faintest hint of a smile, but it quickly disappears.
Bad Luck Fale: You might see where I'm going with this. I'll make no attempt at subtlety on your account. Soon, very soon, the EBWF will light up this city even brighter than it shines tonight. At the center of that light, I will stand. Standing toe-to-toe with the fire breathing giant from the Coalition Kane
This time, he does smile. His face lights up, but beneath the exterior lies a hint of sarcasm to his expression.
Bad Luck Fale:But let's get focused here. No matter what's ahead of them, it's me standing in front of Kane. Don’t think I'm so easily dismissed. Here's the thing about me. I do what I want, and I don't take no for an answer. I don't care about anyone's bullshit. I don't care what these goomba’s think. I don't think I just do. That's the way I've always been.
Bad Luck Fale stops for a moment, Hard to believe that the weight of an entire show awaits him to enter Warfare
Bad Luck Fale: What I really want to say is I can only half-remember the cheers and wins I racked up in my life. I only can remember the blood, the sweat, and the smell of defeat. For me, that's enough. I don't need anything more. I sit on top of this mountain, and I see clearly. I see the light we stand on, and I recognize... how small we are. I recognize that when it really comes down to it... I don't know what will happen next. But I do know that I didn't make a mistake in coming here. I didn't make a mistake in accepting the challenge against you Kane. I've made a lot of choices in my life. And one of them brought me here, I may make other choices. And at the end of it all, I'll never regret any of them. I lived a life full of possibilities. And because of the choices I made, I lived a life without limit.
Beyond Bad Luck Fale, the horizon loomed.
Bad Luck Fale: While you Kane have your limitations, your sense of justification, will be your downfall.
The conviction in Bad Luck’s voice is unnerving
Bad Luck Fale: Kane you might normally step into the ring and be safe in the knowledge you have the size and the power to dominate...but that isn’t going to be the case when we meet at Warfare...I asked for this match for a reason...it’s time to show you what the big leagues are really all about...this week you face the true power player of the Bálor Club...I am the standard by which all others are compared...I don’t raise the bar in the EBWF...I am the fucking bar...you Kane and your bitch boys in the Coalition want to be somebodies in this company...in this sport...then you have to go through me...and big man...that isn’t some empty line or a nice sound bite for the EBWF hype shows...that’s a fact...it’s written in fucking stone and you are going to learn very quickly why I am the The Underboss of professional wrestling. It’s because I set the example...when I step into the ring I don’t care how big, small, fat or thin you are...you are a target that requires to be taken out and that is just what I am going to do to you this week...I’ll see you soon Kane and remember...now you face THE UNDERBOSS...and escape is not an option..
Bad Luck Fale continues to focus his murderous stare on us for a moment or two longer before the the feed cuts to static
