EXTREME!!!!
EXTREME!!!!
The scene opens up to Jeff Hardy and his family in their backyard. It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon. He is surrounded by his family, and couldn’t be happier. Beth comes over and kisses him on the cheek. The Rainbow Haired Warrior grabs her, pulls her onto his lap and kisses her. Jeff is trying to soak up all the family time that he can, outpatient rehab starts tomorrow. Although the treatment is outpatient he has agreed to stay in rehab for a week before getting to return home and begin the outpatient treatment. The only exception will be for The Extreme Enigma to work. There is no way that he is going to mess this up. Beth is extremely understanding but even she would give up on him if he messed up this time. Beth squeezes his arm and brings him out of his daydream.
The couple’s oldest daughter Ruby comes running up.
Ruby: “Daddy, push me on the swing please?”
Jeff: “Ok, come on.”
The Rainbow Haired Warrior walks Ruby over to the swing and begins pushing her. She giggles as she goes higher and higher. Beth tends the grill. Yes, everything is perfect. Jeff smiles and continues to push Ruby on the swing.
The scene fades to black.
Scene 2:
The scene opens up to Jeff sitting in his locker room. He is reviewing tapes of The Miz’s wrestling matches. Nothing all that impressive, an amature really. I really don’t think anyone in the locker room realizes who they are dealing with. I am a damn legend. The sooner everyone realizes that the better. There is a knock at the door.
Hardy: “What?”
Through the closed door the trainer lets Jeff know that it is time for him to go to the ring for his promo. The Extreme Enigma gets up off the couch, shuts off the television and exits his locker room. As Hardy makes his way to the curtain everyone in the hall stares as he walks by, some smirking and whispering. Let them he doesn't care, all that matters is his family and winning his match against Miz. The Rainbow Haired Warrior’s music hiits and the crowd erupts. When he can be seen the crowd gets even louder. Hardy makes his way to the ring giving high fives to the crowd as he goes. Jeff gets into the ring and motions for a mic. A timekeeper hands him one.
Jeff smiles and waits for the crowd to simmer down then begins to speak.
Hardy: “HELLO NASHVILLE!!! Damn it is good to be here. I know what you are all thinking, how can I be so happy after just losing my triple threat match right? Well I’ll tell you why, that match was just a stepping stone. I might have lost the match but I was not the one pinned. I told you Johnny the match would end with you on your back.”
The Rainbow Haired Warrior laughs and continues to speak.
Jeff:”As I was saying, the triple threat was not important. My match tonight against Miz is important. This is a second round King of the Ring qualifying match. I have to win this one or I’m out of the tournament and that will not happen. I will win this match and advance in the tournament.”
The crowd cheers, Hardy smiles and continues to speak.
The Extreme Enigma:”Miz do you really expect me to take you seriously? Yeah I know you are a very accomplished champion, but that means nothing to me. Do you realize who you are stepping into the ring with? I don’t think that you do. I am a freaking legend, I have been in this business a long time and also held championships. Anyone can get a cheap shot and win a belt. It takes actual skill to accomplish what I have.”
Hardy pauses for a brief moment then continues to speak.
Jeff: “Let me give you some advice Miz, do your homework on me. I am not called extreme for nothing. I have done things in this ring that most others are too afraid to do. I have put my body on the line and won. I am not afraid to take chances if it means me winning. Whatever it takes. I
Like I said I have been in this business for a long time, I have seen a lot. I have seen wrestlers come and go. Let’s face it some got it some don’t. The question you have to ask yourself is do you got it? I’m wondering if you do. I know you walk around here like you are God’s gift to the business but let’s face it that's a joke. I wonder how many wrestlers in the locker room laugh at you behind your back, cause I know I do.”
The crowd starts yelling OOOOOHHHHH, Hardy smirks and continues to speak.
The Rainbow Haired Warrior: “Go ahead and talk about my personal life and bring up my demons, it’s okay I have made peace with them. Have you made peace with yours? I am totally ready for this match tonight, my mind is completely focussed. I will win this match, once I leave you laying on your back in the middle of this ring you and everyone will realize there is only room for one king here in EBWF and that is me!! So go on and keep thinking that you will win live your little fantasy. You may be awesome but I am extreme and that is what it takes to win matches!!!”
Hardy drops the mic and climbs out of the ring.
The scene fades to black as Hardy makes his way up the ramp.
