For the first time in nearly five months Roman Reigns made his return to Warfare. He showed up with a different look and even a different attitude, to which didn't go over so well with the EBWF fans. His return to the company surprised a lot of people, including the likes of Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness. Both men were caught off guard by his new theme music called "Head of the Table" as well as, just about every single thing he had to say while cutting what most would call a shoot promo. Roman Reigns is set to make his in-ring return on Warfare next Monday Night from the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and his opponent will be none other than his former Shield ally who now goes by Jon Moxley. If we know the both of these two like we think I can assure you of one thing, this is not going to be for the weakened heart. Jon Moxley is unhinged and he thrives for moments like these, and of course you know he wants nothing more than to watch Roman Reigns suffer. But what do you think Roman Reigns himself is thinking about this match? He did state upon returning to Warfare on December 6th, that everyone would acknowledge him as their Tribal Chief and Head of the Table. So one has to wonder what he will say when he finds out, he's going to make his in-ring return against a man he once called a brother in Jon Moxley? Nonetheless, this should be a very intriguing match-up to say the least and I would not miss this for anything.
Our scene opens up from Pensacola, Florida where Roman Reigns was sitting outside of his home on the balcony, he was dressed in denim jeans and black tank top, his hair was laid back resting upon his shoulders and his beard was freshly groomed. He looked to be in a very relaxing mood as he sat there, enjoying a sunny day before he began to speak aloud.
Roman Reigns: 2013... it was a year none of us will ever forget, myself, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose made our debut in the EBWF... and for the man now known as Jon Moxley, it was the year he headlined WrestleMania and became EBWF World Champion! The Shield was a brotherhood. A bond that could never be broken. We did things no other stable in professional wrestling would have even thought of doing, like taking a zippo and lighting the WrestleMania sign on fire something that had never been done before, and probably will never be done again. We didn't care because at the time The Shield was the biggest draw in this company, and we did what ever we wanted to do when ever we wanted to do so.
Roman took a deep breath exhaling it slowly while he shook his head in disbelief of what he and his former Shield allies did on that night in 2013 at WrestleMania.
Roman Reigns: Seth and Dean would also become EBWF World Tag Team Champions once in 2012 and once in 2013. They said The Shield should have never split up because we were the most dominant faction in the history of professional wrestling. But you know in this business everything comes to an end and nothing lasts forever so there came a time, when everyone got together and thought maybe it was time for Dean, Seth and myself to go our own separate ways. It wasn't something we wanted to do but all of us knew that if we ever wanted to be something, other than being apart of the most dominant faction in the business we had to make some changes. We all agreed mutually that no matter what happened we were brothers but then greed, money, politics and everything else that goes on backstage started to set in. And slowly, The Shield's brotherhood was a thing of the past. We grew to hate each other and I don't think it was intentional, it was just the business had changed and so did all of us.
Reigns nodded his head as he took a brief pause to regain his thoughts.
Roman Reigns: 2015... I made my singles debut with the EBWF and just over a year later, I would win my only singles title in the EBWF when I became the EBWF Intercontinental Champion... Survivor Series... November 27th, 2016! I thought I was on top of the world. I thought I had did something, but it didn't last long. The next month I found out I was going to drop the title to Alex Riley, and I would have to start back at square one because there was nothing creative had for me. It sucks really bad man to think that you got it all figured out, to think that you're on the right track and moving in the right direction. But then reality sets in and you get knocked back down on your ass, trust me I've been there more times than I can count. It's like Rocky Balboa said himself, it's not about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit but keep moving forward.
Roman finished that sentence using a famous quote from the movie Rocky.
Roman Reigns: Since 2015 when I began my singles career I haven't had the best of runs. I've been down more times than I can count and I've lost a hell of a lot more than I wanted. But this business is in my blood, my father was a professional wrestler, my grandfather was a professional wrestler, my cousins are professional wrestlers. This business has been in my bloodline for a long time and we've all continued to carry along our family's name. And even though I haven't had the success of my cousins, my father or my grandfather I have never stopped. Because I believe that in due time I am going to get the respect I deserve. I believe that in due time the greed, money and politics backstage will no longer control the narrative.
Reigns exhaled with throbbing veins in his neck as you could see the anger and aggression beginning to show the more he continued to talk.
Roman Reigns: You see that's the biggest problem in this business, everyone wants to be the top guy even when they don't belong in that spot. No one is willing to take a step back in order to produce new stars, because in reality they're afraid of losing their spot to someone who's better than they are. And I know that all to well because I have been held back for too damn long, but starting on December 13th that all comes to an end because on that night at Warfare from Las Vegas, Nevada... the Tribal Chief will take what belongs to him and everyone backstage, everyone watching around the world will have no other choice but to ACKNOWLEDGE ME!
Roman shouted out shaking with intensity while finishing that sentence.
Roman Reigns: December 13th, 2021... will be the beginning of a new era on Warfare... it will be the beginning of a new era in the EBWF... because from that night moving forward this company will finally recognize, you can no longer control the narrative and you can no longer control the HEAD OF THE TABLE! Because the days of greed, money and politics holding me back is gone. Starting on December 13th... I will do what I want, when I want... regardless of who doesn't like it...
Roman Reigns took a pause several times throughout the couple of minutes he took to finish what he had to say in regards of being held back over the years.
Roman Reigns: I don't care if you like it or not, nothing is going to change. No one will ever hold me back anymore, not Chris Jericho, not The Miz, not my cousin The Rock, not even my opponent for Warfare this Monday Night... Jon Moxley! Yeah, he now goes by the name of Jon Moxley, a name he used across the indies before he signed a deal with EBWF back in 2013. I guess he didn't want to be known as Dean Ambrose anymore, so he decided to change things up but here's the thing man. Jon Moxley is just your ring name bruh, you're still the same guy you was back in 2013. You're still the same guy you was back in August of 2017 when you and I first faced off against each other, and yeah I'm not ashamed to admit that I was on the losing end of that bout. But that was then Jon and this is NOW! Times have changed. The business has changed. So many things have changed in the past four years, including myself Jon Moxley as I have changed. I'm not the same guy I was in 2017... I'm not the same guy that you defeated in 2017... and I can assure you of one thing man, after this is all said and done Jon Moxley whether you want to do so or not... YOU WILL ACKNOWLEDGE ME! BECAUSE I AM YOUR... TRIBAL CHIEF!
Reigns shouted out finishing that sentence as he took another brief pause before he would continue to speak.
Roman Reigns: I want you to listen to me Jon because on Monday Night in Las Vegas, you're going to be in that ring with a completely different version of Roman Reigns. And I am not coming to that ring for a wrestling match, I am not coming to that ring to show you any mercy. I plan on taking you out once and for all Jon, and I don't care who doesn't like it backstage. I can assure you this match will not be for the weakened heart, and what I do to Jon Moxley at Warfare this Monday will be unlike anything you've ever seen before. I didn't come back to be your ally, I didn't come back for a Shield reunion. I came back to be the best, and if that means I have to run over you first, then I will have no problem doing just that. Because the way I see it Jon, this is my time now and in case you forgot let me remind you... THIS IS MY YARD! AND YOU CAN BELIEVE THAT!
