MATCH ONE

Mauro Ranallo: Get ready folks… it’s time for Total Supremacy! We are live from the sold out United Center in Chicago, Illinois, and we’re kicking things off with Maxwell Jacob Friedman versus Christian Cage!

“Take Over V2” hit as Christian made his way down to the ring to the cheers of the fans. Those cheers turned to boos as "Better Than You" began to play. Christian paced back and forth in the ring, awaiting the arrival of MJF, but the leader of Dynasty was nowhere to be seen. After about 30 seconds, MJF's face appeared on the Tron.

MJF: I bet you're wondering why I'm here and not there with you wonderful… strike that… with you people, in Shitcago, Illinois. Well, the answer is simple. I'm sick of being undervalued. I'm SICK of being taken for granted in this company, and not just me, the entire Dynasty will not be in attendance tonight. You wanted to see KC and Ace squash some local curtain-jerkers before the show goes live? Tough. You wanted to see me put Christian in the Salt of the Earth and make him cry like a baby… again? Tough shit. We'll be flying out to Europe tonight to join my buddies at the IXWF on tour. They know how to treat their talent, but rest assured, I will be back. We will be back. But not until you learn your lesson and treat us with the respect that we deserve. They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder; by the time we return, you'll fucking love us. Oh no, I said a bad word… what are you gonna do Wes? Suspend me?

MJF smirked as he switched off the camera, leaving Christian laughing in the center of the ring. Christian asked for a microphone.

Christian: Well, I'm sorry Chicago. I knew that MJF was a coward, but I didn't realize he was this big of one. I guess this means I'm one step closer to getting a title shot!

He dropped the microphone and headed back up the ramp to wait for the final.

MATCH TWO

After the match, the camera cut to Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness at ringside.

Mauro Ranallo: Well that was unexpected, and disappointing. MJF has decided not to show up, and on behalf of EBWF I’d like to apologize for his unprofessionalism.

Nigel McGuinness: Unprofessional, Mauro? Didn’t you hear what he said? He’s made his reasons for not showing up clear… he’s tired of being undervalued, so he’s taking a leave of absence.

Mauro Ranallo: Well I don’t agree with him not showing up here tonight, but as a result of MJF’s “leave of absence”, he forfeits his match and Christian Cage advances to the final of the King of the Ring tournament. We’re about to find out who Christian will face in the final as Xavier Woods takes on Matt Riddle!

Riddle made his way to the ring first, followed by Xavier Woods. Both men were cheered by the crowd. The referee called for the bell and the two men locked up. Riddle took Woods down to the mat with a headlock takedown, then went for an armbar, but Woods got his feet on the bottom rope. As Woods got to his feet, Riddle took him down with a double leg takedown, then went for a kneebar, but once again Woods got to the ropes. Riddle pulled Woods to his feet and hit him with a gutwrench suplex... but Woods landed on his feet! Woods hit Riddle with a series of punches, then lifted him up, hitting a suplex. He hooked the leg and the referee counted - 1… 2… Riddle kicked out! Woods pulled Riddle to his feet and hit him with a series of punches, then went to whip him against the ropes. Riddle reversed the Irish whip, sending Woods against the ropes. As Woods ran back towards Riddle, the two men collided with a double clothesline! Both men were down for several seconds, and as they got to their feet, Riddle went to hit Woods with a running knee. Woods ducked out of the way, then hit Riddle with a spinning kick, knocking Riddle back against the ropes. Woods then hit Riddle with a clothesline, sending him to the outside. Woods followed Riddle out of the ring and lifted him up onto his shoulders, then slammed him onto the ring apron!

Mauro Ranallo: Mamma Mia! Woods just dropped Riddle onto the hardest part of the ring!

As Riddle fell to the floor, Woods slid back into the ring. The referee began counting Riddle out, but as he reached the count of 5, Riddle got to his feet and slid back into the ring. Woods grabbed Riddle, setting him up for a DDT, but Riddle countered it into a northern lights suplex! Woods’ shoulders were down and the referee counted - 1… 2… Woods kicked out! Both men got to their feet and Riddle hit Woods with a superkick, then went for the Broton splash… but Woods got his knees up to block it! Both men got to their feet and Woods hit Riddle with a back drop, then hooked the leg. The referee counted - 1… 2… Riddle kicked out! Woods pulled Riddle to his feet and set him up for Lost in the Woods, but Riddle blocked it, hitting Woods with a knee smash. Riddle then set Woods up for a tombstone… but Woods countered it with a headscissors takedown! Both men got to their feet and Woods hit Riddle with a dropkick, knocking him backwards into the corner of the ring. Woods followed up with a running forearm smash, then as Riddle staggered out of the corner, Woods lifted him up, hitting a military press double knee gutbuster! He hooked the leg and the referee counted - 1… 2… Riddle kicked out!

Nigel McGuinness: Another near fall! There have been so many times it looked like Woods had this match won, but Riddle keeps fighting back!

Woods pulled Riddle to his feet and set him up for a cradle suplex, but Riddle blocked it, then got behind Woods and hit a release German suplex! Riddle climbed to the top rope, going for the Floating Bro… but Woods rolled out of the way! As Riddle got to his feet, Woods hit him with the Honor Roll, then followed up with Lost in the Woods! He hooked both legs and the referee counted - 1… 2… 3!

Mauro Ranallo: It’s over! What a performance by both men, but it’s Xavier Woods who advances to the final!

As Woods celebrated, the camera cut to the backstage area, where Christian was watching the match. He smiled and nodded, then walked away as a promo for EBWF Shop began to play.

MATCH THREE

The camera cut back to the ring, where the steel cage was being lowered for the next match.

Mauro Ranallo: Still to come, we will crown our King and Queen of the Ring, and we’ll hear from the Handsome Devil, Hook! Up next though, it’s a steel cage! Kane of The Coalition takes on Adam Cole of the Bullet Club, with the winner becoming the new number one contender for Xavier Woods’ Breakout Championship.

“All About Tha (Boom!)” hit and the crowd booed as Adam Cole made his way to the ring. Cole seemed reluctant to enter the cage, and once he was inside he began pacing back and forth nervously. Red light filled the arena, “Slow Chemical” hit and the crowd cheered as Kane headed to the ring. Once Kane was inside the ring, one of the officials at ringside locked the cage door and called for the bell. Cole immediately hit Kane with a superkick, then tried to climb out of the cage, but before he could reach the top of the cage Kane grabbed him, dragging him back down into the ring. Kane hit Cole with a series of punches, then threw him into all four sides of the cage one by one. As Cole fell to the mat, Kane began laughing and signaled for the Chokeslam. He waited for Cole to get to his feet, then grabbed him by the throat… but Cole fought back, kicking Kane between the legs then taking him down with a DDT! He hooked the leg and the referee counted - 1… 2… Kane kicked out! Cole stomped on Kane several times, then pulled down his kneepad and sat Kane up. He ran against the ropes, going for The Boom… but Kane moved out of the way! As Kane got to his feet, he hit Cole with a big boot, knocking him down, then followed up with a leg drop. Cole looked dazed as he got to his feet, and Kane lifted him over his shoulder before hitting the Tombstone Piledriver! He crossed Cole’s arms into a crucifix, pinning him. The referee counted - 1… 2… 3!

Nigel McGuinness: It’s over! Kane defeats Adam Cole, earning a shot at the Breakout Championship!

Mauro Ranallo: We’ll hear from Hook next!

MATCH FOUR

A video package played recapping Hook’s EBWF career to date. The video showed Hook’s first EBWF appearance, when he had taken out KC Navarro and Ace Austin of Dynasty. It then showed Hook winning his debut match against Tanga Loa in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament, setting up a second round match with MJF. Finally, the video package showed MJF’s controversial countout victory over Hook, following interference from Alex Kane and Ace Austin. After the video package had finished, “The Chairman’s Intent” by Action Bronson hit and the crowd cheered as Hook made his way to the ring, accompanied by Taz. When Hook and Taz entered the ring, and Taz grabbed a microphone… which he then handed to Hook. Hook signaled for his music to be cut, and began to speak.

Hook: Alright, let me make a few things clear. First of all… yeah, I talk! Certain people seem to think that I’m incapable of cutting a promo, because I let my dad do most of the talking for me, but it’s not that I can’t talk… I just prefer to do my talking in the ring. And for six months, I did a lot of talking in this ring. I went nine straight matches undefeated, making short work of my opponents each time. And then in my tenth match… I got cheated by MJF and Dynasty. MJF said earlier that he was leaving EBWF because he’s “sick of being taken for granted”, and he’s taking the rest of Dynasty with him. But I know the real reason he’s not here tonight… it’s because he knew I would be here, and he’s scared of getting his ass kicked! Maxwell, I hope you enjoy your European vacation, because I promise you this… if you’re brave enough to set foot in an EBWF ring again, I will be here, waiting. And I will have my vengeance.

The crowd cheered and began chanting “Hook is gonna kill you”.

Hook: Tonight, though, I don’t give a shit about MJF or Dynasty. I’m out here because I want to wrestle, and prove to the world that my “loss” to MJF was a fluke. So I’m issuing an open challenge to any superstar in the back who thinks they can beat me.

Hook handed the microphone to Taz.

Taz: Beat Hook if you can… survive if he lets you!

Taz then exited the ring as Hook stared down the ramp.

Mauro Ranallo: Fighting talk there from Hook… who will answer the challenge?

A minute or so passed, and no one had answered the challenge. Hook shook his head, and was about to exit the ring… when “Judas” by Fozzy blasted over the PA system. The arena erupted as Chris Jericho stepped out onto the stage.

Nigel McGuinness: I can’t believe this… is Chris Jericho out here to answer Hook’s open challenge?

Mauro Ranallo: It looks like it, Nigel! He’s wearing his ring gear!

Jericho smiled as he walked down the ramp. As he reached the bottom of the ramp, he took the microphone from Taz, then entered the ring and began to speak.

Chris Jericho: You know Hook, I’ve called a lot of people “Junior” in my 30 plus year career… but never has it been more appropriate than when I’m standing in the ring with you. As I’m sure you know, I wrestled your father many times before he retired. We even teamed up a few times. And more often than not, I beat him. I think your dad only ever beat me once in singles competition… ECW in 2006, when you cheated in that shoot fight rules match. Does that sound about right, Taz?

The camera cut to Taz at ringside, who shrugged.

Chris Jericho: You want to prove yourself, Hook? Well tonight, I’m giving you the opportunity of a lifetime… let’s see if you can get a win over the GOAT!

Jericho handed the microphone to one of the ringside crew, then yelled at the referee to call the bell. As soon as the bell rang, Jericho went to hit Hook with the Judas Effect… but Hook ducked out of the way and hit him with a Saito suplex! As both men got to their feet, Hook took Jericho down with a hip toss, then applied an STF! Jericho was able to get to the ropes, and the referee ordered Hook to break the hold.

Nigel McGuinness: Well Jericho said he was giving Hook the opportunity of a lifetime… Hook has seized that opportunity with both hands so far!

Both men got to their feet and Hook went to whip Jericho against the ropes, but Jericho reversed the Irish whip, sending Hook against the ropes. As Hook ran back towards him, Jericho hit an arm drag, then stomped on Hook several times. He pulled Hook to his feet and hit a double underhook backbreaker, then hooked the leg. The referee counted - 1… 2… Hook kicked out! Jericho pulled Hook to his feet and whipped him into the corner, then hit him with a series of backhand chops. Hook fought back with a series of punches, then threw Jericho out of the ring. As Jericho got to his feet, Hook held his arms out, taunting Jericho.

Mauro Ranallo: Hook needs to be careful here… overconfidence could cost him, especially against someone as experienced as Chris Jericho!

As Jericho tried to climb back into the ring, Hook grabbed him on the ring apron, setting him up for a suplex… but Jericho countered it, suplexing Hook over the top rope to the outside! Both men were down outside the ring, and the referee began counting - 1… 2… 3… 4… 5… 6… Jericho got to his feet, and rolled back into the ring… 7… 8… 9… Hook got to his feet and slid back into the ring just before the 10 count! Jericho grabbed him and hit a double powerbomb, then hooked both legs. The referee counted - 1… 2… Hook kicked out! Jericho grabbed Hook by the legs, locking him in the Walls of Jericho!

Nigel McGuinness: Walls of Jericho locked in! Hook could be in trouble!

Hook tried to reach for the ropes, but Jericho dragged him towards the center of the ring. Hook managed to escape the hold by rolling over and kicking Jericho away. As Hook got to his feet, Jericho caught him with a kick to the midsection and set him up for a DDT… but Hook countered it into a bridging northern lights suplex! The referee counted - 1… 2… Jericho kicked out just before the 3!

Mauro Ranallo: Hook was so close to beating Jericho there!

Both men got to their feet and exchanged right hands back and forth. Hook looked to have gained the upper hand, and he went to hit Jericho with a clothesline… but Jericho ducked out of the way and got behind Hook, hitting him with a tiger suplex! Both of Hook’s shoulders were down and the referee counted - 1… 2… Hook kicked out! Both men got to their feet, and Jericho went for the Judas Effect… but once again, Hook ducked out of the way! This time, he grabbed Jericho from behind, locking in Redrum! He dragged Jericho down to the mat, and Jericho tried to fight out of it, but he was unable to do so. The referee asked Jericho if he wanted to submit, but Jericho refused! Hook increased the pressure on the hold, and Jericho passed out. The referee called for the bell and Hook finally released Jericho, smiling as the referee raised his arm in victory.

Nigel McGuinness: Hook just got the biggest win of his short career… he just choked out the 12 time EBWF World Champion, Chris Jericho!

Hook and Taz made their way to the back as the referee checked on Jericho.
