The scene opened backstage at Warfare with Dr Britt Baker, DMD. As the camera started rolling, Britt began to speak.
Britt Baker: Toni Storm. They say you’re “timeless”…but trust me, honey, this isn’t your time. You see, the women’s division here in EBWF is the most competitive it’s ever been. Last year, I was the face of the division, but then Tam Nakano ended my reign as Women’s Champion, and went on to set a new record for the longest Women’s Title reign in EBWF history. I waited for my rematch… I’m still waiting… but everyone else that went up against Tam came up short. Until finally, at the third time of asking, Arisa Hoshiki beat her old friend and became the new Women’s Champion.
Britt stopped and applauded, smiling as she did so.
Britt Baker: Congratulations, Arisa. I really mean that. You deserve it. But as I’m sure you know, winning that title puts a target on your back. I’m not sure what Tam’s next move will be, but I sure as hell want my rematch. And I know I have to earn that, by getting back on top of my game. Which leads me back to you, Toni. A couple of months ago, when I was facing Sakisama, I said I was putting the women’s division on notice. I got screwed out of a victory that night by Utami… and mark my words, Utami, I will be coming after you and Sakisama… but tonight, against you Toni, I have the opportunity to make a statement. I intend to do just that, by beating you. As good as you are in the ring, I know I’m better. And I’ll prove that when we step into the ring. You might be timeless… but my time is now.
Smirking, Baker pulled out her red and black glove and placed it on her hand, then walked away, bringing the scene to a close.
