Paul Heyman was pacing back and forth backstage, just outside Damian Priest's locker room. He turned around right into Renee Young, letting out a surprised yelp as he saw the diminutive correspondent push a microphone into his face.

Renee Young: Paul your client has an important first match against a former rival in Adam Cole in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament. Potentially another chance at the EBWF World Championship, if successful. What is Damian Priest's mindset, going into this--

Paul Heyman: His mindset? You want to ask about his mindset? Damian Priest was THIS close to beating Randy Orton's streak and becoming the longest reigning EBWF World Champion of All. Time. Do you understand the magnitude of that? And now, he has to start over from the bottom. A first round entry in the King of the Ring tournament. It's an injustice, it's--

Paul was interrupted as the door to Priest's locker room flew open and out came the 6'5" former champion himself, Damian Priest. His gaze was filled with a mixture of anger and determination as he glared at Renee Young, and took the microphone from her. She shrank away from him and the camera zoomed in on Priest.

Damian Priest: Today, your boy is about 25 lbs lighter, and I'm pissed off about it. I ain't out here to make excuses, CM Punk beat me clean in the middle. All respect for that. What I'm pissed off about is that my next chance is to go through the King of the Ring tournament right from the bottom. I should at LEAST earn a bye for carrying this goddamn company on my back for 8 months. But nah, it's cool. First round match against Adam Cole? Bring it the hell on. I've been itchin' to get the hat trick against Cole ever since I beat him the second time when defending my championship. Tonight is gonna be no different. I'm gonna ace this test by putting Cole in the ground and winning the King of the Ring tournament. And then Punk? I got next.

Priest hurled the microphone off screen and stormed back into his locker room as the scene faded to black.
