~Like most promo's that featured the tag team champions, it was difficult to tell just exactly where this one took place. A camera positioned only so that a wooden book shelf filled with literature could be seen. Slapped onto the side of it was a promotional poster of this years Royal Rumble which featured various Superstars in dynamic or intimidating positions. Seth Rollins stepped into the scene. He was dressed sharp and neat with his hair pulled backwards while sporting a pair of glasses. In his hands was a thick book with the title "The Virus Of Fear". He closed the book and studied the poster before turning to the camera.~
Seth Rollins: During the hype for the Royal Rumble you're going to hear a lot of talk about how everyone is going to toss out twenty nine other people with ease. Everyone is going to talk about how they're going to main event Wrestle Mania. They're all going to tell how they aren't afraid to stare down possibly the most unpredictable match the EBWF has to offer.
~He removed his glasses while shaking his head as a smile that was very at ease appeared on his face.~
Seth Rollins: These men are liars. Everyone is afraid. You can't fight something that's a part of your brain. Just repeat it to yourself.
~Rollins voice dropped down to a low hush~
Seth Rollins: "..I'm not afraid..I'm not afraid..I'm not afraid.." Imagine Randy Orton or someone like Kane repeating it over and over. If they weren't capable of fear they would be dead by now. What would stop you from driving into the opposite lane of traffic? What would prevent you from taking down your own government? Fear is the glue that holds society together. They're all afraid. But they're big, tough wrestlers. They can't admit that, now can they? The Rock and Edge are fearless and they do whatever they want, right?
~His tone showed that one half of the tag champs was very skeptical of that claim.~
Seth Rollins: So let's ask ourselves a question for a moment while remembering how unpredictable this match can be. Let's imagine that Alberto Del Rio or AJ Styles charging down to the ring. Let's pretend for a moment that as soon as they hit the mat they get tossed right over to the outside. In a matter of seconds, all their hopes are gone. An entire arena is staring. And laughing. Everything they built up for this moment, all the tough talk, meant nothing. Now tell me that this scenario doesn't keep them up awake at night.
~Rollins looked as though this subject a little more interesting than he should.~
Seth Rollins: Let's dive a little further. Let's say you do win. You now have all the pressure of a Wrestle Mania main event hanging around your neck. Two complete months of unrelenting pressure. What happens if you fail? What if you don't win the title? The shame you will feel. Your failure will be immortalized. Let that very real possibility sink in.
~The young man tapped a finger against the side of his head a few times.~
Seth Rollins: And do you want to know what the most amazing thing about fear is? It can be conditioned. It can be taught. So even the John Cena's and Ted Dibiase's of the world aren't immune to a quickening of the breath and a tremulous heart beat. It can turned even the most hardened wrestler into a frightened child. One slight bump and courage just slips away and all the boasts just trickle into a big pile of nothing. So while they might find me too frightening at the moment.
~Rollins face turned very sullen.~
Seth Rollins: ..they will.
~He took a moment to adjust an article of the nice ensemble he was decked out in.~
Seth Rollins: From my appearance you probably gather that I've been to a concert or two in my earlier days..
~He let his hair, which had been pulled into a pony tail, slid down freely around his shoulders and made a point to motion to the dyed blond portion of his dark hair His usual wild look was on full display.~
Seth Rollins: Death metal mostly. Let me explain to those of you who aren't full aware of some of the customs that sometimes take place. There is something called a "Wall of Death". That is when the audience parts straight down the middle and everyone presses their back against opposite walls. When the music kicks everyone charges straight at one another. Not entirely unlike the Royal Rumble itself. And some of the participants aren't unlike those who are entered in the Rumble. Big, hard, supposedly fearless bad asses. Devil worshipper types that tortured animals as kids. I've seen grown men loose teeth. Piercings yanked out. Bones broken. I watched these adults cry and deep. These "tough guys" who don't know what terror is. Hospitalized because they thought they were brave. I've got a feeling the Royal Rumble is going to be a lot like this.
~The book was placed into an empty slot on the shelf.~
Seth Rollins: I want to see this foundation shake. I want to bring everyone to their knee's. Justice is going to reign supreme in 2013. Believe in it. And I've got one more thing I want you to visualize. Seth Rollins as the winner of this years Royal Rumble. ..Do you want to see something really scary?
Rollins trailed off with a menacing smirk. He drug his fingers along the poster as he walked away and tore a rough good portion of it off. The footage went to static as it closed in one the ruined poster.
