A D'lo Debut

Post by DLo Brown »

(OOC: First roleplay in 5 years, so please excuse the sloppiness!)

The screen opens to a blue sky. Wind can be heard running off the water nearby, as the waves crash against the beach. The camera begins to drop onto the water. The water is that of The Charleston Harbor. Charleston, SC. The location of this weeks Warfare. The camera pans to the left, revealing the small island that is the backdrop of this segment. Soon a building comes into view, but not a normal building. It is made of large stone, and seems very dated. You are able to tell very quickly that you are in the courtyard of an old fort. The camera continues to pan until it lands on someone with there back to the camera. In black track pants with white stripes down the sides, White Adidas Superstars, A black t-shirt with lettering on the back that say "Recognize". A bald head on the unknown man. He is sitting on what appears to be a very oldstyle cannon with a wooden wheelbase.

Unknown Superstar: Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm. Abraham Lincoln

The camera begins to work its way around to the front of the man. Shortly we see that is new EBWF superstar D'Lo Brown. We now see the front of his shirt reads "You Better..." He is looking off with a small smirk on his face. Finally as the camera reaches the front of him and the cannon, he focuses on it.

D'lo Brown: This is the Fort Sumter National Monument. Here in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. Home of this weeks Warfare. I am EBWF's newest superstar. My name, most of you know it. My reputation is worldwide. My history is well documented. I am D'lo Brown, and I am new here in EBWF, but I assure you that I'm no slouch. We will get into that a little later, however. Right now, I want to focus on where we are. This is Fort Sumter, On Friday, April 12th, 1861. The American Civil War's first shots were fired here. This historical site, will be forever remembered as the beginning place for this country's most devastating war.

D'lo looks off again and smiles wide, he takes a deep breath and a long pause. Presumably to increase what little suspense there is.

D'lo Brown: I cannot imagine the fear that most have entered those young men as the laced up for war. They loaded their muskets, and made sure they weren't in a nightmare. At roughly 4:30 AM, the firing began. No one knew that the moment they were all in fear of had arrived, and that it would go down, as the bloodiest war that would ever grace this countries soil. That was 151 years ago. The odd's that this at the time young country faced, seemed insurmountable. After the war there were over 1 million deaths. People fighting against their own countrymen.

He stands up and puts an angry scowl on his face.

D'lo Brown: I face much of the same circumstances. I will instill that same fear in the wrestlers here. Load up your weapons, because the war is about to begin. I am bringing it right to your doorstep EBWF. The odds are certainly insurmountable, but not for me. How appropriate is it that in the same place that the Civil War began, my career here will begin? Like the leaders of the Union and the Confederacy, No one here knows what kind of destruction and mayhem awaits. I will face friend and foe here, I will not show mercy. After Monday, Charleston will be remembered for more than the starting place of the Civil War. It will be remembered as the end of another young man's career. It will be remembered as the first of many victories in my stay here. Those men, they geared up to face what they couldn't understand. EBWF, Doesn't understand the monster inside me. My drive knows no bounds. I will tear through the competition with ferocity. I am here for one thing, and one thing only. Success. You see, I have been in this game a long time. I have been through most of the big promotions, I have been to Europe, I have been to Japan, I have been to South Africa, I have been to Kuwait.

He begins pacing slowly.

D'lo Brown: Everywhere that D'lo goes, he is underestimated. Well let me tell you something. I hope you do underestimate me. I hope you think of me as another passing face. Another link in the chain. After I make quick work of my first opponent, I will tear through the ranks of this promotion until I taste championship gold. Once I achieve it, I will not relinquish.... Speaking of my first opponent let's focus on him. Dolph Ziggler. Who is he? Didn't I see him in a Rocky film once? No that was Dolph Lundgren. Oh I remember now, the other night I was backstage signing my contract, when I looked up and seen him getting eliminated from the Royal Rumble. As a matter of fact, I believe I seen him shoot an interview or two. This kid's biggest claim to fame was his Amateur wrestling career at Kent State. This brings up two questions...First of all, where in the hell is Kent State? That isn't any state I have heard of. If he was so good, than why wasn't he recruited to a bigger university? Secondly, WHO CARES? Dolph, I am not a amateur wrestler. I assure you I am as professional as they come. I am a proven success. I love facing young "up and comers" like yourself. I am a 18 year veteran of this business! I started from the bottom and worked my way up.Whenever I get a chance to smack around a young egomaniac, it makes me excited. Nothing like a fat dose of reality for someone who thinks they already know everything there is to know. Brush your pretty smile up real nice Dolph, because after Monday night, your not going to have much to brush. I am going to knock your two front teeth so far down your throat, your going to need surgery. You see, I believe in destiny. Unfortunately for you, your destiny is to be my first stepping stone here. I am sorry Dolph, I am. Your thought you were going to reach new heights here in the EBWF, but I am going to leave you LOW DOWN!You better recognize, that D'lo Brown is not the one to mess with!

D'lo Brown walks off as the camera fades to black.
