The Scene opens to one of the many EBWF Locker rooms. Inside you see individual lockers everywhere. Most hanging open, all are cleared out. The lights are all off except for a few emergency lights . The camera continues along the corridor until it comes to a section of the Locker room with a faint glow in the corner. As the camera draws near you begin to hear bits and pieces of a previous EBWF broadcast. You can plainly hear the voice of Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler barking into their microphones with excitement.
Jerry Lawler: Another near fall!
Jim Ross: "This could be it King!" ::Rewind sounds:: "This could be it King!"
Finally coming around the final corner we notice D'lo Brown sitting in a steel chair watching clips over and over of his previous match against Lord Tensai. D'lo rewinds madly as he watches him self getting choke slammed over and over. D'lo is in his ring gear with a plain EBWF t-shirt over his singlet. He has both elbows on his knees, shaking his head with one hand over his mouth. One on the mouse on the laptop rewinding. He is focused intently on the footage before him. He finally realizes he is no longer alone. without moving his head he turns his eyes at the camera.
D'lo Brown: I know what you are here for... You want to hear what went wrong. What happened right here?
D'lo loads up the clip again of himself getting slammed to the mat and covered for a three count. D'lo pushes the laptop off his lap onto another chair angrily. Luckily for himself he didn't break it.
D'lo Brown: "Well, Let me tell you what I think went wrong. I got over confident. I got to comfortable in my environment. I got lazy for a split second. I took my eyes off the prize, if only I would have jumped a second early, turned around a little faster than maybe I could counter. Not much can be said however, Lord Tensai got the best of me. That night he was better than me. I knew him well. We both wrestled in Japan around the same time. We were both in the WWE together. I thought I had a good scouting report on him... I was wrong. For one night only, HE was the better man. I assure you though, I assure the MASSES... that it will not happen to D'lo Brown again. I didn't come here to get beat by the under card. I didn't come to be embarrassed in front of all my fans. I came to dominate, to take this promotion by storm. Hats off to Tensai, he got me good. My head is just now clearing up from slamming against that mat. I wish him well in his title shot, he certainly has earned it. As for me, I begin over again, right back on the bottom of the card, and I guess that what i deserve after all this...
The EBWF superstar turns to the camera and focuses in on his next statement.
D'lo Brown: Now I make my Pay Per View debut. I get to open up the night with a win in front of a packed crowd in Austin, Texas. This time I am faced with a true challenge. I must defeat not one, but two superstars. A triangle or triple threat match is a difficult thing to face. Just when you finally get the upper hand on someone, your other opponent will attack you from behind. You see a wrestling match is all about momentum. Its all mental. You get rolling, it boosts your confidence and deflates your opponents. It makes it difficult for them to come back. Its a completely new environment inside a triple threat match. Although as usual its not something i have never faced before. I have been in more of these matches than I can remember. Thats where I hold the advantage this week. I get to take on two young newcomers to this promotion. They don't know who I am or what they are facing. Take Shameus for example. A terrific athlete. He is a powerhouse. He is coming into the EBWF a ball of fire. Having been a very vastly rising star elsewhere. he comes into this promotion with momentum. However, he is inexperienced. I will slowly and methodically break him down. focus in on his weakness. Use his own power against him.Wrestling fans see the biggest and baddest and automatically assume they will win. History proves otherwise. its not about the best athlete... when it comes to the end of the match and everyone in the ring is out of gas... there is one thing that reigns... INSTINCT. I have been there before, I have been to the part where neither you nor your opponent have much left and in a split second you see something, an advantage, a moment of weakness... You have to take advantage. No one in this business is better at that than D'lo Brown. Now lets talk about my other opponent. Damien Sandow!
D'lo breaks a huge smile on his face and begins to shake his head laughing. He relaxes in his chair a little bit. After a few seconds of looking at the floor smiling, thinking. D'lo does his signature head shake and returns his face to a solemn look and his eyes meet the camera yet again.
D'lo Brown:"There is nothing more in the industry, that D'lo loves more than a cocky, over confident, know it all. Damien, he sure is entertaining, isn't he folks. Reading up on philosophy and history. Apparently, he isn't studding hard enough. actually I have the clips to prove it, give me one second.
D'lo Brown reaches over and grabs his laptop yet again, he pulls up two videos side by side... Turns his screen to the camera and hits play on the first one. It is a clip from Damien Sandow's latest promo...
"DS: Thank you for getting me back to those losers. D'Lo Brown, you are nothing more than a head bobbing side show attraction that is way past his time. You have had one match here and you lost. That makes you a loser. Come Sunday at Fallout I will hit you with Terminus and not only will you not be bobbing your head, you will be lucky if your neck isn't broken in half!! "
After playing that he closes the window and maximizes the second video. and hits play... It is a clip from Warfare from two weeks ago.
Dolph quickly got up to his feet and dragged D'lo up. He got up behind him and leapt up for the Zig Zag, but D'lo lurched himself forward and Ziggler missed the move, landing on his back. As soon as Dolph got up, he stumbled into a Sky High! D'lo pinned the shoulders to the mat, 1...2...3! "The Real Deal" began playing again as D'lo got up. The ref raised his hand in the air.
Jim Ross: And D'lo Brown is successful in his match! A great first bout for him!
Jerry Lawler: Welcome to the EBWF, D'lo!
D'lo puts down the laptop and looks back into the camera again and begins to speak his head bobbing mind.
D'lo Brown: "You see Damien, if your going to state facts, make sure you get them right before you do. I was successful in my EBWF debut, I pinned Dolph Ziggler to the mat like I have a million other cocky up and comers before him. You think you know everything, and yet you don't even know the history of this company you work for. D'lo Brown is the real deal. I am not someone you can push around and talk about without getting repercussions. I am a WORLD CLASS wrestler. I have worn more title belts than you have ever seen, punk. You...sir... are a nobody. No one knows your name, No one knows where you have been other than one stop. I have been everywhere. Everyday my phone blows up with offers to wrestle all over the world, I have to turn down these offers to stay here in a league where the best are. Its about time, Damien Sandow, that you recognize, who I am. I am D'lo Brown and I AM NOT the one to mess with. I wish you luck, because when you step in the ring with D'lo the last thing your going to see is me coming off the top rope with the Low Down. After that its lights out for Sir Sandow!"
D'lo throws his laptop in a backpack and walks off camera.
