OOC: Enjoyed writing this one. Looking forward to my first match every against Holly. Should be a fun one. Good luck chica! - DJ
In the world of Professional Wrestling, superstars entire careers are often defined my singular moments or singular matches. These are the matches that can shape who the superstar both is now, and who he will become. For The Miz one such match was on the horizon this Sunday Night at Fallout. It was there, where the reigning Intercontinental Champion would put his title on the line against a foe both familiar and formidable, that foe was John Cena. These were two men that were extremely familiar with each other, and have never quite seen eye to eye to say the least. However, this past Monday Night, it appeared as though the past would be the past, when The Champion and Challenger shook hands in the middle of the ring, after it looked like the Miz would return to his old ways, but then surprised everyone when he did NOT drop John with the SCF in the middle of the ring. A sign of mutual respect was thought to have been shown, when The Miz seemed sincere in wishing John the past of luck this Sunday. John seemed to have appreciated the gesture and returned it, that is until the leader of the Cenation planted Miz with an AA in the center of the ring.. sportsmanship be damned! This without question has opened up a can of worms between these once bitter rivals. Not only would The Miz have his title reign to protect, but he would certainly be in the hunt for some payback, against the former chain gang commander.
The scene opened up once again on the set of the quickly rising youtube show Miz TV. The Miz was in the center of the frame wearing an expensive looking all grey suit with a black undershirt and grey tie. He had the Intercontinental Championship over his right shoulder, and his hair was slicked all the way around. Truth be told, the ensemble brought back memories of the days of the Trilogy. Miz had a very serious look on his face, that replaced the fun loving care free attitude that we've all become accustomed to over the past several months. The Miz looked out to his youtube viewers and paused for several beats. He then began to talk.
The Miz: Hello Mizfits, and welcome to another addition of Miz TV. If you're watching this, you are most certainly looking for your daily Miz fix, and I can't say that I blame you. Since last Monday Night on Warfare, I've been the talk of the EBWF nation, and I know what you're thinking Mizfits.. you're thinking "but Miz you are ALWAYS the talk of the EBWF nation." True enough guys, true enough, but this week even more than most, my name has been on the lips of the EBWF faithful. Everyone wants to know what my reaction is going to be to what happened last Monday Night. I'm of course referring to when John Cena planted me in the center of the ring with an AA after I released him from the Skull Crushing Finale, and showed what a good sportsman I was, by shaking his hand right in front of everyone. My reaction is.. well.. I'm not happy. I mean obviously, if you went to the bank and got a loan approved, you shook hands with the loan officer, and then the loan officer punched you in the face and ripped up the loan, you wouldn't be thrilled either.
The Miz smirked and then continued.
The Miz: Here's the thing that John Cena doesn't seem to get. I was being sincere on Monday Night, I wanted to wish him good luck and I didn't want to take that cheap shot on him, even when I could have. Why? Because A.) He's going to need all the luck in the world if he hopes to even make our match Sunday competitive.. and B.) I didn't take the cheap shot because I simply don't need to. You know who takes cheap shots on their future opponents? Scared people. People that want to try and weaken their opponent before they face off head to head. John Cena spent some time talking to Matt Striker earlier this week, and he noted that I've taken the easy way out a lot in my career to get ahead, and maybe I have.. but what I've started to realize is that what I've been saying all along is true, and that is that I am one of the most fierce, skilled, and talented competitors there is in this business, and I don't need to take any short cuts to be successful. Cena wants to put me down for taking shorts cut to get ahead, yet this Monday Night, he did exactly that by dropping me with an AA, when my guard was down. The only difference is when I took the easy way out to be successful, I actually was successful. I won't lie, I've lied, I've cheated, I've screwed people over all my career to get ahead, but guess what I GOT AHEAD. I AM AHEAD. I mean look at me, I've been the Path To Glory Champion, a tag team champion, the EBWF Champion, and currently I am the reigning Intercontinental Champion. John Cena may have tried to gain an edge this past Monday Night when he hit me with that AA, he may have tried to take a shortcut to my Intercontinental Title, but the difference folks, is that at fallout he's going to realize that that shortcut, unlike the ones I've admittedly taken over the course of my career will NOT lead to success or getting ahead, that shortcut he took will lead to nothing but a roadblock, and that roadblock Mizfits, is that no matter what John Cena has done, both this past Monday Night, or in his whole wrestling career, does not change the fact that in 2013, on this night, at this event, he WILL NOT BEAT ME. The only easy way out for John Cena Sunday Night, would be to accept that fact now.. if he doesn't.. sorry.. when he doesn't, I'll be forced to beat that realization into his crew cut in front of the entire "Cenation."
The Miz adjusted his title, and continued.
The Miz: As always John you placed the blame for what you did this Monday on someone else. It's never your fault, you are the kid in school who makes the paper airplane, throws it to your friend, and then when your friend throws it back, the teacher is walking into the room at that exact moment, your friend gets busted, and you say nothing. If there's one thing I really don't like about you John, it's that you are the definition of someone who could step in shit and come out smelling like a rose. If I had done what you did to me this past Monday Night, people would have called me a coward. They would have called me a sissy, they would have said
The Miz spoke in a whiny mocking tone.
The Miz: "Miz knows he can't beat Cena fair and square!" You do it, and people say "boy that John Cena he's so clever," or "Boy John Cena really outsmarted Miz there." Really? You outsmarted me. Is that what you think John? That you got one over on me? Really? No, John what you did, is you showed me your true colors. The rest of the world might be blind to it, but I see you crystal clear for what you really are, John. You aren't clever.. you aren't smart.. you are nothing but that sissy, you are nothing but that coward. But again, it wasn't your fault... nooooo.. no it couldn't be John Cena's fault he was FORCED to do it. So when you were asked why you did it.. you didn't admit to everyone that it was because you were a chicken shit.. instead you told the world, that you hit me with that AA because you felt that I was playing mind games by shaking your hand. Me shaking your hand in the middle of the ring like a man, wishing you luck, that you'll desperately need, and that's me playing mind games? John I don't need to mess with your mind, because your mind is plenty messed up as it is, if that's what you truly believe... but think what you want John, believe what you need to believe so that when you take off your hat, your T-Shirt, your 900 arm bands, and your cammo shorts, and you put on your "Hustle Loyalty and Respect" footie pj's, and you climb into the matching bed sheets, you can sleep through the night.. but John just know that come Sunday Night when the lights go off, and you climb into those same sheets.. you will not have just become the Intercontinental Champion..and any game that you think the two of us were playing together here.. is a game that you will have just lost and lost badly to the much MUCH better man.
The Miz stared into the camera packed with emotion, he was in rare form, and certainly not in the most joyous of moods.
The Miz: Despite what you may think or say John, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a trip into my head. Maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to know what I'm thinking, because then maybe you could join the rest of his here in reality. Because here in reality, I'm The Intercontinental Champion, and I've been the Intercontinental Champion since last summer. Here in reality the name Miz, means a hell of a lot more in this business these days, than the name, John Cena. If you think that it doesn't, and you want to disagree with me, than the only one living the past here John, is you. Don't you get it John? I'm not impressed by you, I'm not in awe of you, there was a time when maybe I would have taken that cheap shot against you, because though I might not have admitted it, deep down, I may have felt like it was neccesary to compete with the great John Cena. That's just not the case anymore though, no matter how much you wish it was. Those days, your days, are over. These are my days now, John. This business means everything to me, so every crack about about MTV and how I've "gone Hollywood" are as old, tired, and played out as the guy who uttered them, they mean nothing, especially coming from a sellout like you. More than that all my Mizfits know that I prove each and everyday that I breathe for professional wrestling, it's why I wake up in the morning. I live for the feeling that I'm going to have this Sunday when I show once and for all that I am the type of Intercontinental Champion that will turn your 238 day Intercontinental Title reign into a distant second place , and I can't think of a better way than to keep my days as champion going, than beating a you in the center of MY ring.. 1.. 2.. 3. The crazy thing is, you really don't think I can do it, do you John? You see a lot of guys can stand in front of a camera, and talk about how they are going to beat someone. You can always tell though, if they really and truly believe the words that are coming out of their mouth. John Cena, like him or hate him, is a guy that truly believes he has no equal, it's the one thing I kind of actually respect about him. He always believes he's going to win, and it doesn't even cross his mind that ANYONE in this business could get the better of him. Well John, I guess it's my challenge to make you a believer, it's my challenge to make you realize that not only do you have an equal in me John, but you have a superior, well John as Barney Stinson might say..
a clip of Neil Patrick Harris on How I Met Your Mother popped up onto the screen replacing The Miz.
Barney Stinson: CHALLENGE.. ACCEPTED!
The clip cut back to the Miz.
The Miz: So John, you may not think it's needed to know what's on my mind. You may think that being me is something that you'll never be.. and for once I agree with you. You WILL never be me, you WILL never hold this championship or any other championship for that matter ever again, you WILL never be that guy that you once were. To ensure that though John, I wanted to walk the road that you didn't think you needed to walk, with regards to preparing for me as an opponent. I wanted to get inside the head of, not the guy you once were, but instead the guy who you are now...all of them..what do I mean? Take a look..
The scene cut away to Miz sitting on a chair in front of a full audience of people. He wore a white with red letters "Your Favorite Wrestler's Favorite Wrestler" T-Shirt and black pants. He had the Intercontinental Championship over his left shoulder, and he had almost a nervous looking smile on his face. The crowd was cheering for him, as a man on stage donned in a tuxedo holding a microphone spoke.
Host: Ladies and Gentleman the man behind me, looking somewhat nervous is as well known as they come. He is the current EBWF Intercontinental Champion, and as his t-shirt says, he is your favorite wrestler's favorite wrestler, he is THE MIZ!
The crowd applauded for Miz, who mouthed "thank you" to the host. He requested the microphone quickly.
The Miz: I swear I didn't even tell him to say that.
The crowd laughed, as Miz snuck a 20 dollar bill in the guys suit pocket.
Host: Without further ado, as if The Miz being here wasn't enough, it's time to bring out the other star of our show. He is the world renowned Hypnotist, he is.. the one.. the only.. John.. CERBONE!
Hypnotist, John Cerbone, entered the stage to a round of applause. He walked right over to Miz and Miz got out of his seat to shake his hand. Cerbone, in a blue button up, with jeans and dress shoes on, took a seat right next to Miz. He had a microphone clipped onto his shirt.
John Cerbone: Hello Miz.
The Miz: Hello John.
There was a comedic pause.
John Cerbone: Ok enough with the pleasantries god.
The crowd laughed.
John Cerbone: Tell me a little bit about why you're here, Miz.
The Miz: I'm here John, because I want to know, and I mean truly know, what it's like to be someone else. I know for a fact it's great to be Miz, I prove it to myself every day. In the morning I wake up, and I'm like " I can't tell for sure but I feel like it rules to be me.. and then at the end of the day.. I'm like.. yes.. yes it definitely does.
The crowd laughed.
John Cerbone: Humbling.. go on.
The Miz smiled.
The Miz: So what I'm hoping you can do for me tonight John, dumb name by the way.
John Cerbone: I've never liked it.
The crowd laughed again.
The Miz: Is to show me what it's like to be someone else, to get inside their head, by actually well making me truly believe I am them.
John Cerbone: So what you're saying, Miz... is you want me to hypnotize you?
The Miz looked out to the crowd in a cheesy but comedic way. They all cheered.
The Miz: That's what I'm saying.
John Cerbone: As you wish give me your hand.
Cerbone took Miz' hand and began to shake it.
John Cerbone: So Miz you and I talked backstage and I know what we've set out to do here today, I want you to follow my fingers follow my fingers, follow my fingers.. and SLEEP
Miz' body slumped down instantly, the crowd cheers as Cerbone's voice was heard over them.
John Cerbone: 5..4..3..2..1 further and deeper you're going further and deeper, the deeper you go the better you feel.
He began rocking Miz' body back and forth.
John Cerbone: Further and deeper, further and deeper, further and deeper. When I snap my fingers you will awake, but you won't be you, when you wake up, you will be the leader of the Cenation, John Cena. You will talk like him, think like him, and even feel as though you are dressed like him.. you will in your mind.. be him.. and WAKE UP.
John snapped his finger and Miz sprung awake.
John Cerbone: Miz how do you feel?
Miz didn't respond. He looked from side to side as if he was trying to figure out his environment.
John Cerbone: I said Miz how do you feel?
Miz looked at John and pointed at himself.
John Cerbone: Yeah you.
The Miz: You're talking to me?
John Cerbone: Of course, Miz, who else would I be talking to?
Miz smirked and confidently laughed.
The Miz: Ha ha.. sorry man. I didn't realize, you got it wrong though, I'm not that wanna be wolverine beard having, x-men, ex man current beyottcchhh.. Miz.. the name is John Cena.
John Cerbone: You're John Cena?
The Miz: Guilty as charged. Pleased to meet you.
The Miz put his hand out, as Cerbone looked to the crowd and the audience laughed and cheered. Cerbone shook his hand. Miz then put Cerbone up in the AA. The crowd gasped in both horror and surprise. Miz laughed and then proceeded to put Cerbone back down on his feet.
John Cerbone: Why did you just do that, John?
The Miz: I don't know, I thought you might have been playing mind games with me.
John Cerbone: I am.
The Miz: I KNEW IT!
The Miz playfully hit John a couple of times in the gut. He was really hamming it up with Cerbone, in the cheesy way that John Cena himself might do.
John Cerbone: So John, I heard that you are quite the rapper.
The Miz: No, no, not anymore. Just a guy trying to wrestle man, trying to make my Cenation proud, living by my three principles.. Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect.
The Miz brimmed up with the almost smug pride, that we are used to seeing John Cena with every Monday Night.
John Cerbone: Those are good principles to live by so John tell m..
The Miz shook his head as if he was confused for a moment, he slumped in his chair all of a sudden and interrupted Cerbone suddenly
The Miz: I aint tellin you jack fool. You don't know me.. you can't see me.
Miz looked out on the crowd, who were confused at the sudden change in attitude and demeanor.
The Miz: Whatchu all lookin at yo.. this is ya boy John Cena leader of the chain gang son. Chill Chill Chill.
All these whack as people sitting there bored stop
starin at me like you was this fat ass.. and I was a pork chop
a fat man in the front row looked offended. A couple of the audience members laughed.
Look intimidated and you should be, but fa now relax yo face
while I rap circles around you, like my words was in a nascar race
So yo.. don't get smart.. even though you're all nerds right.
Or I'ma beat all yo asses and be sure to ruin all your nights.
WORD LIFE.
The crowd cheered, Miz looked almost unimpressed and uninterested in their approval.
John Cerbone: I thought you said you weren't a rapper.
The Miz looked at Cerbone as if that was the stupidest thing he'd ever heard.
The Miz: You trippin man? Why would I ever say anything like that son? John Cena the dopest rapper any of yall have ever seeeen.
John Cerbone: Alright, alright point taken, how about another rap.
The Miz seemed very confused for a second, and then looked at Cerbone, in almost a deranged manner. He spoke in a monotone voice.
The Miz: A what?
John Cerbone: A rap John, can you rap for us?
The Miz did not look happy to say the least, the crowd was in awe of the constant changes.
The Miz: I know it's gonna be a wrap for you, if you keep looking at me like that.
John Cerbone: I thought you were the dopest rapper any of us have ever seen.
Miz tilted his head as if Cerbone was nearing the last straw.
The Miz: I get it ha ha.. I used to rap, you're fucking hilarious.. now please man.. I don't know who the hell you are but you better get the hell out of my face before I get mad.
John Cerbone: But Jo..
The Miz: NOW! You think I'm kidding huh? You think you're fucking funny?! Mr. Comedian!
Miz grabbed Cerbone by the collar.
John Cerbone: Well you and I are certainly getting acquainted.
The Miz stopped for a second and then put Cerbone down. He turned his head and seemed to be shaking something off once again, he then flashed a big grin. Putting Cerbone down and dusting him off by the shoulders.
The Miz: Sorry about that there my friend, you'd think I'd have to buy you dinner first to get that close to ya.. ha ha!
It was clear Miz was now back to being a goody goody. It was as if he was cycling through Cena's personas, as if they were at war with each other.
John Cerbone: You really lost it there for a second John.
Miz slumped down in his chair again. Wiping his nose with his thumb.
The Miz:
Na my dude John Cena don't lose nothin I don't make no blunders
Especially wit yo mom n sister, after I take they numbers.
The crowd laughed and even gave out an "Oooh" Cerbone looked offended, Miz was slumped in his chair and continuously hitting his thumb to his nose once again, it was clear he was getting his gangster Cena on, in a major way.
John Cerbone: That's just not very kind Miz.
The Miz again, seemed detached, he looked almost disgusted that Cerbone was talking to him again.
The Miz: Who the fuck said I was kind? Stop actin like you know me man. I can see your judging look all over your fat little face. You don't know me, or my life, or what I've been through. Suck a dick.
John Cerbone looked out at the crowd and smiled.
John Cerbone: Hope the kids aren't with you parents.
The Miz shook his head again, as if he was shaking the cobwebs out. He smiled wide again.
The Miz: Sure bring the kids out, they are definitely going to want to see me in action. Because after Sunday Night, I'll be able to say proudly that.. THE CHAMP... IS... HERE.
The crowd cheered him. Miz smiled and waved. The Miz grabbed his head as if he had a hat on it and threw it into the crowd. He watched "it" as if he really believed he had thrown a hat.
The Miz: Some fan is going to leave lookin' a little cooler tonight my friend!
Cerbone grabbed Miz' hand, and began rockin it. Miz looked down at his hand disturbed.
The Miz: The hell is this fool? You fo rizzeal?
John Cerbone: And SLEEP..
Miz slumped back down in his seat. Cerbone again rocked his body back and forth.
John Cerbone: Further and Deeper, Deeper and further. When I snap my fingers, you will once again wake up, and you will be Mike Mizanin AKA the Miz. You will have no recollection of what just happened. WAKE UP.
SNAP. Cerbone brought Miz back to life again with the snap of his fingers.
The Miz: Hey John.
John Cerbone: Hey Miz.
There was a pause again, just as there had been before.
The Miz: So enough with the pleasantries are you going to hypnotize me or not?
The crowd laughed.
John Cerbone: That ship has sailed my friend.. but don't worry we'll provide you the tape.
The Miz: How nice of you.
John Cerbone: What can I say I'm a nice guy. The Miz, ladies and gentlemen, give him a hand.
The crowd cheered and Miz, almost confused, waved to the crowd in appreciation. The scene faded away, back to Miz TV. Where The Miz smirked.
The Miz: That guy is the real deal, I honestly had no recollection of being under.. but the tape doesn't lie. I really thought I WAS John Cena. To be John Cena these days, could mean any number of things. It might mean kissing babies, it might mean busting a rhyme, it might mean.. well just being plain old mean. The one thing it will NOT mean is being a champion. The one thing being John Cena will not mean, is being a man that is capable of downing yours truly this Sunday at Fallout. Something it WILL mean though Mizfits, is being someone who gets knocked down hard off a self built pedestal, it WILL mean being someone who realizes that he will never be on the level of someone like me. It WILL mean being someone who realizes that he will never EVER.. BE MIZ.. so being JOHN CENA.. will mean.. being someone who will have no choice.. but to BE JEALOUS.
The Miz adjusted his title once more, and brought it all home.
The Miz: The fact of the matter is John, right now, you're confident, you truly believe in your heart of hearts that come Fallout, you will be the new Intercontinental Champion. However, one thing we've all learned about you John, is that lately the second we get used to you feeling one way, it changes at the drop of a hat, or even the SNAP of a finger.
Miz snapped his fingers as he said the word "SNAP" he smiled almost sadistically thinking back to the hypnotist clip that was just shown.
The Miz: So when Sunday takes place, when the match comes and goes, when you are beaten soundly, like I know you will be beaten soundly. Once again your mood will change. However, you won't go from kiss ass to psycho back to kiss ass like you've done before, and you won't even rhyme. You will instead go from the self assured individual that you are right now, to a defeated, pathetic, "fallen hero." Who will know that no matter how many matches he's won in the past, he truly is 100 percent out of his league against someone like me.. you will be devastated.. and even a hypnotist couldn't put that self belief back in you.. it will be gone forever John, JUST like you should have been. Just like you WILL be.. after Sunday Night. Because I'm the Miz... and I'm...
The Miz stared dead into the camera, and shook with intensity as he spoke the last word.
The Miz: AWESOME.
MIZ TV faded to static.
annnd SLEEP..
annnd SLEEP..
