EBWF Mailbag #2 - Brought to you by SEScoops.com

Q: Natalya just posted pictures of her baby with Wes Ikeda. Is it me or did Natalya go from workhorse to gold-digger at warp speed? – Larry B.

A: What exactly are you basing that on? That she had a baby with a rich man? As far as I know they’re not married, which means he could easily cut her loose tomorrow. All he might be responsible for is child support, and given that she’s still on the company payroll he wouldn’t be legally required to pay much.

Q: Every so often, I log onto Twitter and I’m treated to some huge blowup argument between superstars and staff of the EBWF. Is this for real, or is the EBWF working the Internet? – Isabel E.

A: Isn’t that the fun part? That it’s not always black and white if we’re looking at a shoot or just some worked drama that two guys made up for giggles?

Q: Why is there so much hate for Mr. Anderson on Twitter from people like Randy Orton, Edge, Christian, and CM Punk? I liked the guy, and I thought he could be a world champion at some point. - Taylor G.

A: There was a time a few years ago that I might have agreed with you, but that time is long gone. Anderson’s act got stale, he never really evolved as a wrestler or as a personality. The fact that Paul Heyman is going to bat for him on Twitter is not surprising, considering that Heyman was instrumental in getting him his first EBWF contract. The problem is that when there’s smoke, there’s fire. When you’ve got names like Christian, Orton, Edge, and even the current World Champion saying publicly that they didn’t trust the guy for whatever reason, you’ve got to think there’s a reason.

Q: I’ve seen a lot of talk about Brian Kendrick lately on Twitter and in EBWF promos. Is the EBWF trying to coax Brian Kendrick out of retirement? Robert P.

A: I haven’t heard any talk that Brian Kendrick is currently in talks with the EBWF for a return, so it could just simply be the EBWF baiting the hook. As far as EBWF’s interest in Kendrick, they would resign him in an instant. The man became the ultimate dark horse in the company and went on to have unforgettable feuds with A.J. Styles, Randy Orton, and CM Punk. No one had more impact on the EBWF in late 2011 / early 2012 than Brian Kendrick.

Q: Is Christy Hemme still working for the EBWF? She’s still on the EBWF roster. Uriah J.

A: Christy Hemme still has her musical pursuits that she is working on presently. If you’re asking me to explain why she’s still on the EBWF roster even though she hasn’t been in an EBWF ring in over 8 months, I can’t. Maybe it’s an oversight on the part of the webmaster. A few days ago she posted a cryptic tweet that one can only imagine was directed at her ex-husband, Wes Ikeda. But, who knows? Hemme’s relationship with the EBWF is for lack of a better term, bizarre.

Q: The WWE has all but completely dissolved their Women’s Division, instead the women are just valets for the male wrestlers. Do you think the EBWF is trending the same way with a lot of the big name female wrestlers either on the shelf or gone from the company? – Damien F.

A: I don’t see it going that way, to be honest with you. The EBWF may be suffering from a diva problem at the moment, but the matches have been consistently over the 5 minute mark (which is a lot better than the WWE before they dissolved their division), and they are still putting their weight behind Maryse, AJ Lee, and the Canadian Ninjas. The recent addition of MsChif is also a good sign that they are willing to bring in solid talent to reinforce the roster. If you’re a big fan of the EBWF Divas, I’d say be patient. A number of the Divas that are gone are only taking a break from the business and have expressed interest in a return. Natalya won’t be on the shelf forever. The build up to Wrestlemania should be pretty interesting.
