Round 2 - Angle RP

Post by BigD »

During an EBWF House Show, Forfeit plays across the PA to bring out Kurt Angle for a scheduled promo.

Last week, you all saw exactly why I am acclaimed as the best wrestler this business has ever seen. Last week I proved why I'm a force to be reckoned with not only in the King Of The Ring tournament, but in the EBWF as a whole. Over my career, I have always been the guy. I have seen success, headline pay per views, and accomplished the highest accolades in every place I step foot. But what I accomplish in the EBWF will be what sets me apart from any competitor before me. I have already won nearly every title this company has ever had. In 2003, I was the Royal Rumble winner and then I went on to win the World Title at Wrestlemania. And in 2013, history will nearly repeat itself as I finish my EBWF BINGO and win the King Of The Ring tournament. Last week was a "free space" as I handily beat the underachieving Bully Ray and this week should be no different.

This week might as well be another free space. I feel like that national powerhouse who enters the NCAA Tournament, gets an easy win against a 16 seed, and then faces a 9 seed that really should have been a 14 or 13. But, because they played in an inferior conference and made their legacy by beating up on lesser teams, they are rated much higher than their worth. That's exactly what Corey Graves is. Graves made his name in the indies... well not the same name he has now, but another name. But he made the Graves name in developmental so the powers that be in the EBWF decide to give him a shot here with the big boys. And does he fulfill on his hype? Does he back up the talk that he's been doing over the past few weeks? No! He fights to a draw with a ballerina who probably wears tutus on his off days. And this is who people think will challenge me in this tournament? This is the future of The EBWF? THIS is the future of wrestling? Let me make something real clear. I am the future, past, and present. A former partner of mine likens himself to the best there is, was, and ever will be. But that whole thing changed the moment I stepped foot in this ring. There is NOBODY in this business that can go toe to toe with me.

But I'll give Graves the benefit of the doubt here. Maybe his first match was an off night and his first round bye wasn't just a lucky break to get him further into the tournament. Maybe, during his match is Fandango, he was distracted by the beautiful women down on the mat. But that just shows why Corey Graves is not ready to be at this level. You see, there are no such things as distractions in this business. There are no do-overs, no "my bads," no mistakes. There are winners and losers, and that's it. And Corey Graves is a loser. If he was, in fact, distracted then it shows his mental inferiority. You see, I don't get distracted. I have a goal, and I achieve it. And right now, Corey Graves is in my way of achieving that goal.

Heck, my wife left me because I refused to allow myself to get distracted in my journey. Corey Graves thinks he's hot stuff because he has Taeler Hendrix at his side. But it's all an overcompensation because Graves knows deep down that he doesn't have what it takes to be successful, so he resides on beautiful company and gimmickry to put himself ahead in life. But that's all he is: A gimmick. Just smoke and mirrors to take the attention away from his short comings. Like a magician who uses slight of hand so no one will notice he's a fraud. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain," because if you see what's behind it, you'll find a fat, bald man who has nothing special about him. But I've seen behind the curtain. I know what's in the other side of that box you sawed in half. And I know about the secret compartment that's hidden inside the hat.

Angle pauses a moment to pace the ring and collect his thoughts.

Angle: Before Core Graves was what he is now, he liked to run around with a cane and call himself "The Devil." He liked to hide in the dark and use smoke and mirrors to intimidate people. But, like the dark and ominous antagonist of Hollywood, he was nothing but cheap tactics and parlor tricks. An over glorified bully who hid his own insecurities in the shadows that he inhabited. And he named himself after his favorite football player and favorite singer. Isn't that sweet. You know who I'm named after, Corey? Myself. Because this is not a gimmick. This is truth. I don't need to reinvent myself after failing to make it some place. 1, because I rarely fail. And 2. my life isn't some gimmick. Who I am is good enough to put forth in front of people. And who I am is good enough to beat you on Warfare.

Your tattoos don't scare me. Your love of filth doesn't scare me. Your intense stare and persona don't scare me. Stay down? Boy, you don't want me to stay down, because I am even most dangerous on the ground. That's what you don't understand, Corey. You talk about being ready for a fight? This isn't a fight. This is a wrestling match. Up, down, sideways, it doesn't matter. In here, I am superior. In here, you don't have a chance. Because in here, if you take me down, it's just that much easier for me to snap your ankle. Oh it's true. It's DAMN True.

Forfeit plays once more as Angle exit the ring.
