OOC: Good luck to everyone else. Any feedback on how I'm going with Bryan would be appreciated.
Daniel Bryan had been given the opportunity to make his mark in EBWF. At Sacrifice he was scheduled to compete in a Money in the Bank Ladder Match and the winner would receive a contract for a guaranteed title shot at the Royal Rumble. But standing between him and the World Championship contract was five other hungry, young and talented wrestlers who all wanted the same thing. Daniel Bryan had been training hard for the match and he knew that this was the best opportunity he would have to get a shot at the World Championship. The Verizon Arena in Little Rock was packed and it was a sell-out crowd for tonight's event. Daniel Bryan sat in silence in his locker room, thinking about what might happen in the match, thinking about how he could use his submission skills to win him the match. This was unlike any other match he had competed in. He not only had to adjust his game to complement the ladder stipulation, but he also had to watch out for five different wrestlers. It wasn't your typical match, it was a match that would be brutal, there would be carnage as everyone would fight for their lives to get the contract. While he sat there he heard a knock on his locker room door and Todd Grisham entered with a camera man. Todd wore a suit as usual and looked nervous entering the locker room.
Todd Grisham: Daniel, do you mind if I get a few words with you before your match?
Daniel looked up at the interviewer and shook his head.
Daniel Bryan: The camera man can stay, but you can leave. What I have to say doesn't require an interviewer.
Todd slowly left the locker room, feeling rejected. Meanwhile the camera man walked up and positioned himself in front of Daniel Bryan and then began to record.
Daniel Bryan: Tonight I have the opportunity to get a guaranteed World Championship match. But to get it is no easy feat. The name of this Pay Per View is appropriately named. Each competitor in this match has to sacrifice everything to win this match. But is everyone willing to sacrifice everything to win this match? I have sacrificed everything to make it in this industry, I didn't get famous on a Reality TV show and then decide I wanted to be a wrestler. I graduated high school and my only ambition was wrestling. I trained every day I could and that's why I have to win this match. I have nothing else but wrestling in my life. I can't leave this industry and settle into any job I want, I have spent my entire life working towards this. There have been many times where I could have turned away from wrestling and many times where I have been told to not wrestle, but I can't do that. I can't do that because I haven't reached the top yet. I was known as the King of the Indies and some people have claimed that I am one of the best technical wrestlers ever, but all of those accolades mean nothing when I stepped into EBWF. Yes I am still a technical wrestler, and I know many holds. But until I win the EBWF World Championship, those accolades can never be anything more than hollow praise.
Daniel Bryan: Chris Sabin, Trent?, The Miz, AJ Styles and Cody Rhodes stand between me and victory. Chris Sabin is a man who will thrive in this environment, his athleticism will be a real asset in this match but can he win the big one? Throughout his career he has never hit the heights that others have in this match. That is why Sabin won't win this match, he can't win the big one, especially after trading the Path to Glory Championship with Damien Sandow.
Daniel found a water bottle near him and took a sip of water.
Daniel Bryan: Trent? is another high flyer who can't crack into the main event. The best Trent? has accomplished is a Breakout Championship reign. Trent? winning will be a complete upset to everyone, and I think his carefree attitude will cost him this match tonight. That brings us to The Miz, one of the favourites in this match. He is a former Path to Glory Champion, World Champion, and Intercontinental Champion. He has seen a lot of success in EBWF and he is hoping for more tonight. On Monday night he was the one that stood tall on the ladder, but that wasn't the real thing. The Miz is someone who shouldn't have the success that he has. A Reality TV star turned wrestler? He made into the WWE purely because of his Reality TV exposure, not because he has any wrestling ability. He got the spotlight and the fame while I killed myself on the Indies, wrestling for $20 a night. I nearly lost my eye sight to this business, what has he lost? What has he sacrificed for this business? Absolutely nothing. He might be going in to Sacrifice as a favourite, but I will make sure that he doesn't walk out of the Verizon Arena with that briefcase.
Daniel took another long drink of his water.
Daniel Bryan: Cody Rhodes recently returned to EBWF, but before he left he shocked the world by becoming the World Champion, I know he wants it again, but he won't be winning it. Cody Rhodes is and forever will be in the shadow of his father. He wants to step out and become his own man, but wearing a clear mask and doing grotesque things isn't going to do it.
Daniel Bryan: That now leaves me with the last competitor, AJ Styles. Another favourite in this match and he seems to be the only other focused competitor. Another former World Champion, AJ Styles joining up with Paul Heyman is supposed to be the best move for his career. He wants tonight to be the night that proves that joining Heyman was the right idea, unfortunately he hasn't faced me before. He may want the World Championship, but he's already had it before, he knows what it's like and the hunger he has for it has diminished slightly. I, however, have never had the World Championship before and that is the only thing I want in this company. AJ wants the championship for money, I want it for the legacy of the championship. I want to be in the same ranks as the Kurt Angles, the Ravens and the Bret Harts in EBWF. I want my name with them.
Daniel finished drinking his water before looking intently into the camera.
Daniel Bryan: The World Championship is why I stay awake at night, it is why I train every day and it is why I want to win this match more than anything. Winning this match means that I get a guaranteed shot, nothing can change that. Everyone else will say that they're the better man and that they will win, but only one of us is telling the truth. I have everything to gain in this match and I'm going to make sure that everybody in that match knows it. I have sacrificed so much for this business, the years, the injuries, and the toll it has taken on my body, my mind and my family. Has anyone else sacrificed that much? Has anyone else worked for $10 a night or $20 a night? Tonight I'm going to win that match, even if it kills me. I will put my body on the line because I can't afford to lose. I have the desire, the drive and the passion to get me through this match. So if you're The Miz or AJ Styles or Cody Rhodes, watch out.
The camera stopped recording as the scene ended.
