The scene opens backstage where Christian is seen walking with a look very rarely seen on his face, a look of disappointment, mixed with sadness. He roamed slowly, fully equipped in his ring gear. No merchandise or advertising or self-plugging. Just tights and wristbands. Renee Young approached him, and turned him around to face the camera.
Renee:
Christian, do you mind answering a few questions?
Christian:
If I say anything, I'm already answering, so go ahead.
Not quite sure how to react to that, Renee just ignored and moved past this somewhat somber response from the otherwise usually cheery "Captain Charisma."
Renee:
Well, last week you put on quite a performance against Justin Gabriel, and yet you were rewarded with a loss, do you feel that was unfair?
Christian:
Unfair? No. Undeserved? No. Injustice? No... What I felt, Renee, wasn't all of that. What I felt was something bigger than that. And what I felt was something that never before I have felt. I felt... angst. I felt angry at myself. I failed myself, Renee. That's what I felt.
Renee:
I take it you will be wanting to bounce back with a victory, then? Wanting to become number one contender?
Christian:
No. I don't want to win. This week, Christian doesn't care about winning, Christian has reached a point where he no longer needs to prove anything. Christian has made his career, Christian is set. I am set. And this Monday, I won't even try to win. I will try, and trust me, I will succeed in hurting.
Christian turned around and walked away, clearly with an attitude that was ever rarely seen if ever within him. Whether this change was for the better, only time would tell.
Breakout
Re: Breakout
OOC: Sorry for the short, uncoded rp, but the last weeks of school are hectic with papers and stuff like that, good luck to my opponents.
