Still Some Hope.

"1.2.3!"

The Allstate Arena had a mixed reaction when the referee raised Wade Barrett's hand in victory and his music played. Evan had lost yet again. It was a great match, both competitors gave it their all but Barrett was just the better man. Lizzy pulled Evan out of the ring asking several times if he was ok. Evan held his neck in severe pain after being dropped by a neckbreaker. Lizzy helped Evan backstage, and the two sat on a long bench, Evan still holding his neck in pain.

valet vixen//lizzy valentine: "You were pretty good out there, Matt. Sucks you had to lose."

air bourne//evan bourne: "Yeah, it does suck. It's ok though, it was a hell of a match, and I'm proud of it."

valet vixen//lizzy valentine: "Yeah, you should be."

As the two continue to engage on a conversation it is cut short as Renee Young and an EBWF Camera Crew, approach them. Evan knew she was going to ask for an interview, and he knew it was going to be posted on the EBWF website in the Backstage Fallout section.

ebwf interviewer//renee young: "Sorry to bother you Evan, but would like to know if we could get a quick interview, please?"

air bourne//evan bourne: "Yeah, sure."

The cameras begin rolling and Evan moves to the side still holding his head and wiping away the sweat from his forehead after his tiring match with Barrett not too long ago, Evan didn't really want to do an interview, but he considered Renee a friend, so he decided to just do it.

ebwf interviewer//renee young: "Hello EBWF Universe, I am currently here with the man who just had a match with Bad News Barrett and is here with his girlfriend, Lizzy Valentine... Evan Bourne!"

Evan walks into the shot, he was ready for any question Renee had to ask as she knew it would have things to do along the lines of Barrett, Royal Rumble, and maybe Lizzy.

ebwf interviewer//renee young: "Evan, you had a tough match with Wade Barrett, you weren't able to quite win though, was this a detriment to your confidence?"

air bourne//evan bourne: "Actually Renee, it's not. Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed, but I'm still aware of my abilities. I'm still aware that I am championship material. Barrett was the better man tonight, and I respect him, but the day we face off again, I can promise you my shoulders won't be on the mat for three seconds."

Evan had to except it. No matter what he would have liked to happen, he had to move on. He knows that dwelling in the past is just stupid. He realizes that there will be other opportunities.

ebwf interviewer//renee young: "The Royal Rumble has been the topic on every EBWF Superstar lately, is it also on your mind?"

air bourne//evan bourne: "It is actually. The Royal Rumble is something that every superstar dreams of winning. I would be a fool not to enter to be honest, and the fact that everyone is excited for it just makes me even more excited!"

Evan exclaimed. The Royal Rumble was obviously a big deal for all of EBWF. The fact that Evan will probably be participating is huge for him.

ebwf interviewer//renee young: "How do you feel about Barrett's comments about Lizzy?"

air bourne//evan bourne: "I just heard jibberish to be honest. Nothing Wade says or does will effect me or her. He is a big man who also likes to talk big, it's fine considering the type of job we do, but if he was trying to get a rouse out of me, it didn't work."

Evan stated truthfully. Nothing Wade said or did would really throw him off his game. He knew he was just trying to hype up the match, so Evan didn't it take it personally.

ebwf interviewer//renee young: "There is also a World Tour coming up soon, are you excited about it?"

air bourne//evan bourne: "Yeah, it seems like a lot of fun! I haven't been on a World Tour before and it will be cool to go to places I've never been before!"

A World Tour did seem like fun to Evan. It was also a new experience for him so he will just have to see how it goes, but it will probably be awesome, just like most of the events in the great company which is, EBWF.

ebwf interviewer//renee young: "One more question. You and Wade Barrett gave a heck of a match tonight, probably the best match of the night. Are you up for a rematch?"

Evan smirked. The match was excellent. Both competitors really wanted to win their first match on Warfare. The crowd in the Allstate Arena were definitely awarded a treat, Evan gathered his thoughts and finally answered Renee's question.

air bourne//evan bourne: "I never back down from a challenge Renee. Of course I'll face Wade Barrett again, it should be fun. Whenever he's ready, we can do it again and hopefully things will go in my favor."

Evan answers. He would actually want to face Wade again. It kills him a little inside that Barrett probably thinks he is the better man at this point. He has the right to think so since he did pin him, but Bourne would love for a rematch and put on another great match.

ebwf interviewer//renee young: "Thank you so much for your time, Evan. Sorry about the loss."

Evan smiles and waves goodbye as Renee and her camera crew stop filming and walk off. Evan felt it was a good interview. All his answers were truthful, and that's the kind of man Evan was, except one answer. His confidence was a bit damaged after losing to Barrett. This is Evan's second loss in the EBWF, and he doesn't want to be seen as a jobber. He really hopes next week on Warfare, his luck changes a bit.

///

It's been a week since Warfare, and it means it's time for a new Warfare. This weeks card looks good for Evan. He faces off against Phil Shatter at a chance to face Daniel Brayn for his Breakout Championship. This was a great opportunity for Evan to finally get a win, and if he blows this chance, he might not have any actual confidence in himself left.

The Breakout Championship has been held by EBWF greats like the current World Heavyweight Champion, Trent? who also has held the championship for the longest, Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, and even the Undertaker. After being pinned by both John Cena and Wade Barrett, Evan would have not expected a number one contendership for a championship, but Evan wasn't going to ask any questions, he was going to roll with it and hopefully pick up his first victory in EBWF.

Evan was currently backstage with Lizzy. The two were talking about how huge a victory would be. The victory would be special for two reasons. One, it would guarantee him a Breakout Championship match against Daniel Bryan soon, and two, it would be his first victory with EBWF, and first victories are always great. Evan was a lot more nervous for this match then any other, and he wasn't too familiar with Phil Shatter making him even a bit more nervous, but overall he was more excited than anything.

valet vixen//lizzy valentine: "So, am I going to have to sit through another week of watching you get your ass brutally beaten?"

air bourne//evan bourne: "Haha, very funny, but not this time. A chance at a Breakout Championship match doesn't just come everyday."

valet vixen//lizzy valentine: "Yeah, so don't go screw it up."

Evan chuckled. It was better having Lizzy around for him. She kept him company and she was pretty funny. The two got on great and so far it was pretty fun. Sometimes she was so entertaining that Evan forgot that he had a serious match in a few moments. Evan really liked her and hoped to someday call her, he's girlfriend, but maybe winning the Breakout Championship will win her over.

Evan and Lizzy stood near the entrance as Warfare was beginning to start and so was Evan's match. He knew it was all or nothing now. Put up or shut up. Getting a chance at Daniel Bryan's title is huge for Evan, and he knows he can't waste it against Phil Shatter. Everything was ready and Warfare was kicking off, and immediately after the pyro and salutations from Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler, "Bourne to Fly" blasts out the speakers.

Evan and Lizzy walk out to the crowd in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The sight of all the fans never gets old to Evan and he loves every bit of it. He walks down the ramp with Lizzy in hand. He waves at fans and gets a pretty decent reaction tonight. He wasn't sure if the crowd was cheering for him or Lizzy, but it didn't matter too much, it was just really cool for Evan. They entered the ring and Lizzy watched as Evan posed at the top rope.

ebwf commentator//jerry lawler: "This kid has a lot of potential but has yet to win a match, maybe he can do it in this Breakout Championship Contendership match!"

ebwf commentator//jim ross: "Yes, he does. Now let me show you what Evan Bourne said about this match earlier."

Evan continues to wave to the fans before helping Lizzy to the outside of the ring and while that is all going on, a small square box appears at the bottom of the screen. It shows Evan in a dark room looking straight into the camera, probably going to cut a short promo.

air bourne//evan bourne: "Tonight I face Phil Shatter. Phil Shatter is a great competitor but he is no Air Bourne. Shatter can't fly like me and he definitely can't keep up with me. I may have lost to Wade Barrett, and I may have lost to John Cena, but I assure you that, that won't be the case tonight. I will win my match, and I will be the number one contender for Daniel Bryan's Breakout Championship, and after that, I would watch out if I were Daniel Bryan, because Evan Bourne is coming for ya!"

Evan Bourne smirks at the camera, even though he is smirking, his expression still shows a bit of seriousness in the words he just said. Bourne was determined to win this match. He was determined to be the number one contender, and he was determined to become the new Breakout Champion of the EBWF.
