Daniel Bryan was backstage with Renee Young, all set for his pre match interview before the Royal Rumble PPV was set to get underway.

Renee Young: Good evening everyone, with me at this time is Breakout Champion, Daniel Bryan. Tonight you'll be going one on one against Evan Bourne with your championship on the line. Later on you'll also be competing in the annual Royal Rumble match. How do you prepare for two matches in one night?

Daniel Bryan: First and foremost I want to hold onto this championship, but I also want to win the Rumble. I've got to work hard enough to defeat Evan Bourne while also trying to not get too fatigued before the Royal Rumble match.

Renee Young: Both you and Evan are smaller men, Evan being a fast high flyer while you're more technical. How does his style compare to yours?

Daniel Bryan: He's quick, he can fly around the ring with ease but everything he does is risky. When he goes to the top rope, one misstep and he can lose the match. Against me, one small mistake and I can rip your arm off. One small mistake and I can choke you out. If he gives me an inch, I'll make him tap out.

Renee Young: Evan Bourne has been on quite a roll as of late with a big victory over Phil Shatter and a very competitive match against John Cena. Do you think he has momentum coming into this encounter?

Daniel Bryan: Definitely. But momentum accounts for nothing when you're in the ring. He could be undefeated for a year, but that doesn't mean he can beat me. Every step, every movement can lead to his failure. It only takes a second for me to put anyone in a submission, then they can either tap and lose the match or I'll break their bones and choke them out.

Renee Young: With the upcoming Royal Rumble match, the winner is guaranteed a World Title match at Wrestlemania. It's a star studded match with many surprise entrants. How will you fare in this match?

Daniel Bryan: I'd like to be able to go the distance in this match. Even if I come up short I can make a huge impression on everyone else. Eliminating Jericho or Cena or even Wes Ikeda would go a long way to show everyone that I mean business and that I can be in the ring with anyone. Now if you'll excuse me of have a Breakout Championship to defend.
