5...4...3...2...

A burst of static cuts through the US Cellular Arena PA system. The EBWFTron goes dark.

For a brief moment, "Resurrection" plays across the PA. It's cut-off by static and another flash on the EBWFTron.

4

"No More Words" plays and the crowd starts buzzing.

3

The opening riff of "Pretty Handsome Awkward" played for a few seconds and the fans began cheering.

2

The lights in the arena went black.

2Xtreme

"Loaded" hit and the arena exploded as Jeff Hardy danced his way onto stage—he was decked out in his usual pants, a simple white beater, purple bandana, and matching black, green, and purple arm stockings. Pyro exploded behind him and he took off to the ring. Sliding in, Jeff climbed the turnbuckle and threw out the Hardy Hand Gunz. He jumped down and ran to the opposite turnbuckle and pointed out to some screaming fans. Smiling, Jeff bounced off and grabbed a mic. "Hardy" chants spread far and wide and humbled, Jeff bowed to the fans at all sides of the ring.

Jeff Hardy: Man, it doesn't matter how long I'm away, the Imagi-Nation is still around! I can't believe y'all still care—I love it and I'm amazed but it gets really easy to forget what that reaction is like! It's why I said yes when I got the call to come out here for the Royal Rumble.

Jeff Hardy: Hard to believe it's been almost 10 years since I won the Royal Rumble. That's a decade, man, a quarter of my life ago. I look back at that kid and it's hard to believe that was me. I look back at everything I did here, from being the kid to beat Bret Hart for my first world title to joining the nWo, and it's hard not to think this was all a dream. But then I step through that curtain, hear that classic music, and see all of you and I know there's nothing as real as this!

Jeff Hardy: The Royal Rumble is as real as it gets. Makes careers and launches new stars. It helped cement me as a real main eventer. Tonight marks my return to the main event. I may be sharing the spotlight with 29 other guys but how many of them can compare to Cameron, North Carolina's own? Tonight, for all my creatures out there, I'm going to put the "Xtreme" back in the EBWF. If I do this right, live for that moment, y'all will be seeing a lot more of Jeff Hardy, I guarantee it.

"Loaded" hit once again as Jeff dropped the mic and posed for the crowd.

OOC: Most of you don't know me, so what up, folks! It's been 7ish years since I've written even a smidge of EBWF-Jeff Hardy so I'm excited to have done so, even if only for 3 paragraphs! Good luck, RPers!

I also love that he's putting the Extreme back in EBWF.

You know, since Wes took it out 5 years ago LMAO
