Here is my Fallout RP. Hope you guys enjoy it. Good luck Holly!
There had been a few humps in Mike Mizanin AKA The Miz' career that he just could not seem to get over with any consistency. Defeating AJ Styles and capturing his second world title were a couple of them. However, Mike had recently gotten the better of AJ the last couple of times the two shared the ring. Which made it even more frustrating that his former ally had begun his second reign as EBWF Champion and Miz still had not. Another hump that Miz, and quite frankly most EBWF superstars.. except inexplicably Evan Bourne.. erm.. Matt whatshisface rather, and that hump was defeating John Cena. Though John's Intercontinental Championship run was over (finally) John still held perhaps a more coveted price, in the EBWF Path To Glory Championship. It was more coveted in the sense that the holder of the title could cash it in at any point for a shot at the EBWF World Heavyweight Championship. So when Miz earned the right to be the number one contender for this title, it was something he took extremely seriously. This was yet another shot, another chance to get back on top of this business. A victory over John Cena would get Miz over one hump, and take him a step closer towards getting over another.
The scene opened up in a gymnasium that was full of young kids. The noise was deafening with the combination of several conversations all trying to talk over each other. Some of the children were engaging in games of tag, and other horseplay activities that undoubtedly would be frowned upon by the adults in charge of these groups. Several adults were seen trying to get the children under control, the gym quickly became quieter when a man in a suit stepped up to the podium. It was quickly becoming clear to the viewer that we were at a school assembly. The man in the suit tapped on the microphone a couple of times which made a noise due to the static. The noise of the mic brought the children to their seats, and the crowd was now completely hushed.
Principal: Good afternoon students.
There was no response.
Principal: I said good afternoon students.
A lethargic "Good Afternoon" was mumbled by some of the kids, who may had already been losing interest due to the short attention span of youngsters.
Principal: Today I have the great pleasure of introducing someone to you all that I'm sure many of you know. Who here is a fan of professional wrestling?
Several hands shot up in the crowd, mostly from the young boys. There were a few young lady fans who shyly put their hands up, by comparison to their male counterparts.
Principal: The man who is about to speak, wrestles for a company called the EBWF. He has had a tremendous amount of success in the ring, but has also been a very influential individual outside of it. Today he wants to talk to all you students about a couple of very important topics. Are you ready for me to bring him out?
The students, especially those who had raised their hands before were most enthusiastic in their responses, but the rest of the audience applauded politely as well.
Prinicpal: Students, I am extremely excited and proud to welcome to our school, The Miz!
"I Came To Play" was heard surprisingly clear over the PA System. Miz entered the scene in a Gray suit. His hair was slicked around, and he looked extremely sharp. He nodded his head as if to indicate that he was impressed with the on cue playing of his theme music.
The Miz: Pretty impressive sound system for a Middle School. Nice work Mr. Principal.
The Miz shot the principal a glance, the man returned the glance with an "A-OK" hand signal. Miz smiled, and then took the microphone out of the stand, he began to walk around the stage, as he began his speech.
The Miz: How's everybody doing today?
A light response and a few muffled "goods" were heard.
The Miz: No, no, come on you guys can do better than that. I said how's everybody doing today?
This time the response was much more enthusiastic and it was an acceptable amount of energy for The Miz to continue.
The Miz: That's better, now as your principal just mentioned I am The Miz and I am a professional wrestler, which I'm sure you all know. Even if you don't watch the EBWF I'm sure one of your friends does, and one of his friends does, and they've ALL told you about me. Who here has not heard of me, by a show of hands?
The camera panned out to the crowd a couple of the kids hands went up, and the camera then found a female teacher. She was very.. shall we say.. homely.. with big thick rimmed glasses, and frankly terrifying facial features. Her hand slowly went up after Miz had asked the question. She sat in the front row, so Miz had caught her honest gesture. He smiled.
The Miz: I meant the kids, but thank you for that.
She didn't pick up that he was talking to her.
The Miz: Alright good talk. Ok now by a show of hands.
The Miz had made it over to where the podium was where he originally took the mic from. He hit a button and a large projector screen lowered.
The Miz: Seriously impressive technology in this school.
The Principal piped up, standing from his chair that he had taken behind the Miz, his next words were delivered in a very ineffective nerdy cadence.
Principal: That's how we roll.
The Miz looked at him with a blank stare.
The Miz: Don't ever do that.
Principal: Right of course.. sorry.
There was some laughter from the crowd. The principal sat down slightly embarrassed but also with a good natured smile on his face.
The Miz: As I was saying, how many of you don't' recognize this guy?
A picture of John Cena was shown. The students who had raised their hand when The Miz asked about him, were not seen. Even the ugly teacher who had raised her hand, lowered it slowly. Smiling in a "I'm a little bit hot and bothered" kind of way when she saw the picture of John. Miz again caught her in this, and had a slight laugh to himself.
The Miz: Oh you like this guy huh? Heard of him, have ya?
Again the teacher didn't pick up that Miz was talking to her.
The Miz: Ok good..anyways the point is.. you all know this guy. You know John Cena, and why do you know him? Because John Cena is captain kid, he gives back to the youth of this country perhaps more than any other professional athlete or entertainer. He would give the shirt off his back from any one of you..
The camera cut back to the teacher who had a slightly aroused giggle thinking about John giving the shirt off his back for her. Miz looked at her, and then became slightly disturbed before speaking his next words.
The Miz: Well most of you. Anyways the point I'm making is John, is a role model, and he's a damn good one. There's a really good chance that right now John Cena is at another school somewhere, giving a speech to children just like you. In his speech he's without question talking about the core values that he lives his life by. Hustle, loyalty, and respect. So since John couldn't be here today to this particular school. I've decided to come and be the next best thing. Because that's all I ever am. The next best thing.. if John's not around.. if John can't do it.. then the Miz can always fill in. Sure it's not AS good, but it'll do just fine..ALWAYS the second choice, plan b.. Mr. reliable..
The Miz realized that there was a room full of kids who were losing him on those last couple of sentences. He quickly regained his wits about him, and continued.
The Miz: So let's see what would John say here?
A little boy raised his hand. The Miz looked out at him, and seemed a bit confused, but addressed it.
The Miz: I wasn't really asking.. but ok go ahead.
The little boy stood up.
Little Boy: THE CHAMP IS HERE!
The little boy raised his hand in the air.
The Miz: Ok maybe he'd sa..
The Miz stopped his sentence when another hand went up.
The Miz: Yes?
Second Boy: YOU WANT SOME.. COME GET SOME.
The Miz: Ok yes he could possibly...
A third hand went up, who spoke without even being called on.
Third Boy: WORD LIF..
The Miz became quickly enraged.
The Miz: OK ENOUGH SHUT UP!
A hush came over the crowd, and the smiles of the teachers who were enjoying their students participating in the Miz speech quickly evaporated from their faces. The Miz cleared his throat and adjusted his tie.
The Miz: I'm sorry.. yes those are all things that John might say. Good thank you.
The teachers seemed to stand down, when Miz came to his senses and in a lot of ways rescinded his sharp reaction.
The Miz: More so then John's tag lines though, he has a lot of other messages that he usually would convey in situations such as these. John never leaves a room without getting a message across. It is one of his life's missions to leave each group of people he speaks with and meets better than when he first encountered them. He is a master of sharing his thoughts and ideals on the right way to live. He teaches kids, just like you, EVERYWHERE, to rise above hate. How many people here have ever been bullied?
A couple of hands went up, including, you guessed it that same teacher... hey at least she was participating. Miz saw her hand again and just smiled to himself. This time not even addressing it.. since it seemed pointless the first two times.
The Miz: This is something that many of us go through. Especially at your age. You see, and John would explain, that growing up is a difficult time. We all go through changes, and we all have things we like and don't like about ourselves. Sometimes people will deal with their own insecurities by pointing out the shortcomings of somebody else. This is something that John would shoot down, he'd say that we're all on the same team, the CENATION team. He'd tell you to treat people the way you wanted to be treated. That my friends is true kindness, that's the golden rule! If you feel the need to bully someone, it just shows that you are the one with the shortcomings not those that you are bully..
The Miz was cut off by a picture of a waiter. He was a short scrawny man who was wearing a polo shirt with the logo for the 99 restaurant. He had a frown on his face, and a thumbs down pose was seen. Miz look became a little sinister in nature. He went from a happy go lucky man who seemed to be trying to do John's "do good" attitude justice, to a little bit deranged and almost bitter.
The Miz: Who's this you ask kids? This is Robbie. Who's Robbie? Robbie is a waiter at the 99. Kids recently John Cena and I went out for some burgers and... and.. apple juice.. apple juice?
The Miz turned to the principal, who nodded in the Miz substitution of beverage choice. Anyone who knew Miz and John, knew that it wasn't apple juice.
The Miz: So we went out, and John asked Robbie for his burger to be cooked medium well. So Robbie came back with the food after the two of us had downed a few apple juices, and John took a bite of his burger... what happened next is something I can't do justice. So here to tell the story in his own words.. is Robbie himself. Kids.. Robbie.
Some clapping was heard from the kids.. the teachers claps were slower as they were confused as to where Miz was going with this. Robbie, entered the stage, dressed the same way he was in the picture.
The Miz: So Robbie, you bring back John's burger, and then what happened? Can you tell the kids what Mr. Anti Hate and anti bullying did next? In your own time.
The Miz smirked. Robbie was clearly an actor in cahoots for this whole thing. He acted very shaken up, and began to recount the story.
Robbie: Well Miz, as you know, Mr. Cena did not like his burger, it was not up to his standard. It was not a burger fit for the Champ.
Robbie fought back fictional tears. The Miz seemed very concerned.
The Miz: It's okay man, go on.
Robbie: So he spit the burger out, with pieces of it actually striking my chin.
The Miz gasped.
The Miz: Your chin!?
Robbie nodded.
Robbie: Yes. He then proceeded to ask me how hard my job was. He told me that a trained ape could be my manager at 99, and that an untrained ape could do my job. He called me stupid.. told me that I would never get married.. and said that if I didn't come back with a better burger a second time that he would hunt me and my whole family down.
The Miz looked out on the audience.
The Miz: I was there kids.. this is exactly what happened.. Robbie.. thank you.. you are very brave.
Robbie: No problem Miz.
The Miz: Ladies and gentleman, Robbie.
Robbie exited the stage, to less claps than when he entered.
The Miz: What have we learned from John Cena kids? What would he want you to learn from this? That it's OK to say one thing, and then act a completely different way. John Cena may go from school to school, state to state preaching to be the bigger man, or turn the other cheek, and treat people with kindness.. but then he goes and does the exact opposite to a great guy like Robbie, when the two of us are out just trying to have a good time at the 99 restaurant which is always the real deal.. the only thing not REAL here is John Cena.
Miz sensed the principal starting to grow weary of this. The principal had stood up, but again Miz quickly composed himself.
The Miz: But you know hey, we all have bad days kids. A lesson that we should all take from this story is that, you shouldn't hold grudges, and you should always forgive, even when someone acts in an inappropriate manner. John Cena is my friend, and though I didn't agree with his actions, I was able to forgive him for causing a scene at the 99. Forgiveness is a big part of life kids, because we all make mistakes, and just like we'd want our friends to forgive us, we need to forgive them.
The Miz quickly cocked his head back to see the principal sitting back down in his chair, seemingly satisfied that The Miz was getting back on track.
The Miz: So though John may not always practice what he preaches, his words and messages are admirable. Aside from anti bullying John would also be a big proponent of honesty and being a man of your word. Which is something that John definitely is. Week in and week out, John tells the masses that he is going to be victorious, and guess what he usually is. I mean sure Evan Bourne changed his name to Matt something, and did take John's Intercontinental Title.. but John wasn't pinned kids.. he wasn't pinned. So the chink in John's armor is much smaller because of that.. but outside the ring John is trust worthy, a straight shooter, much like George Washington he "cannot tell a lie." John Cena is the personification of honest...
The Miz was cut off again by a changing of a picture. This time it was a really haggard looking girl though she looked beat up in the picture, you could tell there was a somewhat attractive late 20's girl in there somewhere. The Miz look and tone once again changed.
The Miz: Kids, meet Elaina. Several years back, at a party we were attending. John and I were having some Apple Juice and John met Elaina. They got to talking and they really seemed to be hitting it off well. What happened next.. can only be explained by one person.. kids... here's Elaina.
Very few claps this time. How much longer would this be allowed to continue? Elaina came out, also dressed in the same outfit as in her picture. Miz gave her a hug.
The Miz: Elaina, how are you doing?
Elaina: I'm OK Miz.. all things considered.
The Miz was very sympathetic.
The Miz: Sure sure.. you are a warrior you know that?
Elaina seemed appreciative of the Miz kind words.
The Miz: So tell us what happened, tell all the kids what happened when you met "Honest Abe" John Cena.
Elaina: So we were all hanging out.. as you remember.
The Miz: Right we WERE hanging out, because this definitely happened.. go on.
Elaina: So John and I really started to get along great. He ended up walking me home.. kissed me goodnight.. then we..
The Miz: Whoa Elaina there are kids here.. let's leave it at that.
Elaina nodded and smiled weakly.
Elaina: Right so the next day...
The Miz: The next day kids.. John came BACK over.. to Elaina's and what did he say?
Elaina: He told me he'd call me.
The Miz: He told you he'd call you... and did he Elaina? Did he call you?
Elaina: No he never did.
The Miz gasped.
The Miz: He never did! Thank you Elaina. Kids give it up for her. What a trooper!
Elaina walked off stage to a very weak reception.
The Miz: First it's a victim of John Cena, the bully. Now we have a victim of John Cena, the liar. It's clear kids that no matter what John may say to kids just like you, that he's someone who can't be trusted. He might even say this week that he's going to retain his title against me at Fallout, but I mean why should we believe him. Why should anyone believe him? Why should anyone trust him? Why should anyone serve him a burger.. metaphorically speaking.. when he's just going to make us feel foolish when he spits that metaphorical burger right off our chins.. disgusting.. disgusting indeed.
The Principal again stood up.. this had to be the end.
The Miz: But he's not a bad guy kids, not all the time, no. The John Cena I know, the real John Cena has a heart of gold. He cares about people. Sure he may not be the honest, or anti bully that he claims to be in the public eye.. but he's a good person. If he were here right now that is what he'd be urging all of you kids to be. Good people. As I've said kids.. we aren't perfect.. and that's what today has been about. John Cena may seem perfect to some of you, but even HE as we have learned today has his faults, but we shouldn't judge him on those faults kids. No we should see him for the good guy that he truly is.
The principal again sat down. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on... well let's see.
The Miz: Before I leave you all today, I would be remiss if I didn't mention one last thing, that I know John would want you all to know.. and that is that drugs, kids, drugs.. are for losers. Nothing can mess up your life quicker than drugs. It's a slippery slope, and in order to keep your minds strong and fit, you MUST stay off drugs. JUST SAY NO.. that's what John Cena would do and that's what you all should do t..
Another picture was shown on the board. This time it was a very menacing looking photo of a young man with a shaved head and a hood over his head from the gray hooded sweatshirt he donned in this picture. Miz again turned almost evil in nature, like his personality was split. He cracked a menacing grin as he began.
The Miz: Kids, meet Kenny. Kenny is John Cena's drug dealer, and has been for the past 15 years.
Finally the principal had seen enough. He grabbed a microphone from behind the curtain and came to the front where Miz was standing.
Principal: Ok kids, say thank you to The Miz for coming to the school today.
A few weak thank you's came from a group of kids who were really confused as to what was going on, none were heard from the teachers who probably had a better idea.
The Miz: One more thing..
Principal: No I think they've heard en..
The Miz stepped toward the principal in a subtle yet threatening manner. The principal backed down.
The Miz: Kids, John Cena is not a martyr, he's not a god, he's a bully, he's a liar, he's everything he wants you to think he's not. He has each and every one of you fooled. He has this country fooled, but the only one he's fooling is himself, if he truly believes that he is going to walk out of Fallout on Sunday the Path to Glory Champion. Kids I may be many things, but unlike John Cena I will not tell a lie with regards to this match. I am going to be the Path To Glory Champion, and I am going to take that Path To Glory Championship and I am going to cash it in, and become the EBWF World Champion for the second time. I am NOT plan B, I am, and will ALWAYS BE PLAN A, I REFUSE to be the guy who EBWF gets to do things only when John Cena isn't around. The guy who they only want to be in the public eye when John Cena is busy. Well kids, this Sunday John Cena will be busy.. and he won't be busy spouting off his holier than thou nonsense to kids just like you, in a gym just like this, no. He will instead be busy, getting brutalized at the hands of yours truly. Your hero, your leader of the Cenation, will lose his second championship belt in as many weeks. Hash... Tag... Fact.
The Miz dropped the microphone and motioned like he was going to attack the principal, who flinched in a big way. As Miz laughed to himself and walked off the stage. The scene cut out and the viewer was quickly in the EBWF Studios. Sitting at a desk was Todd Grisham and Michael Cole. Michael Cole spoke first.
Michael Cole: Well folks we've all just watched some really quite honestly disturbing footage. Of The Miz really just going off at a kids assembly no less, on a man that many believed was a good friend of his. What do you make of this Todd?
Todd Grisham: I mean honestly, Michael, I think it bothers Miz that John Cena is basically having the career he saw for himself. A career that he seemed to be headed for just last year. Now Miz has been really struggling to win that big match, and to capitalize on his big chances, and John Cena really hasn't struggled much at all. John Cena has won night in and night out, he's had record long title reigns. John Cena is success personified, and for as much as The Miz has seemed to at times, laugh it out, and smile, you got to believe that it's starting to get to him.
Michael Cole: Well one things for sure, if Miz final words at the school were any indication, he is not playing around going into this Sunday at Fallout. Where he will take on, as he mentioned, John Cena for the EBWF Path To Glory Championship
Todd Grisham: And Michael we're being told that The Miz is in the ring right now at a house show being held at the site of EBWF Fallout. We take you there now.
The scene cut to The Miz who stood in the middle of the ring. He wore a "Danger: I'm Awesome" Black T Shirt, his black wrestling trunks and boots. The crowd gave him a mixed reaction, as he looked out at them. Finally, he spoke.
The Miz: Every professional sport, anything that involves competition really has a face. Someone that when you look at them, you immediately start to think about their sport, or their event. Basketball has Michael Jordan or Lebron James. Baseball has guys like Derek Jeter, or Albert Pujols, Football Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. For professional wrestling though the face of our business, has been one man, and one man only.. and that one man.. sorry AJ.. has been John Cena.
Cheers from the crowd were heard.
The Miz: Yeah go ahead cheer it up. He's a hard guy not to like. He smiles he's positive, but also knows how and when to turn it on, when to be intense. The guy wins, and he has won for a long time.
Again the crowd cheered.
The Miz: He's kissed babies and he's kicked ass. John Cena is a man who has TRULY found the fine line between being nice but also NEVER appearing weak. Well la dee fricken da...
The crowd started to boo Miz a little, something that had not taken place in recent weeks.
The Miz: I've said this in past weeks, but I'm just tired. Tired of this status quo that has been created in this company. Tired of the same record spinning each and every week. John Cena, John Cena, John Cena, MARSHA, MARSHA, MARSHA.. I'm sick of it.
The Miz began to pace around the ring.
The Miz: And look I'm a nice guy, I'm as laid back as they come, but when my world is being taken away from me, that's when you are going to get a different side of me entirely. John, I hope you enjoyed the past several months. I hope you really enjoyed all the wins, all the photo op's, all the attention, and spotlight.. because soon John.. SOON.. that will all be coming back to me. John I am the most must see, the most captivating, the superest of superstars, your favorite wrestler's favorite wrestler, and I will be damned if I sit in the background for one MORE second.. while your success makes me look like I'm anything but. John this Sunday your success ends, this Sunday for the first time in your career aside from maybe that short time you were out of your freaking mind, you are going to start to learn how it feels to be in the background. For the first time you are going to learn how it feels to be a guy that can only talk about the success they USED to have.
The Miz seemed really disturbed in this moment.
The Miz: Used to.. used to.. even just saying those words indirectly referring to myself.. drives me insane. I am the BEST WRESTLER in this business.. I have NO EQUAL in this ring.. so for me to say that I, John, am a guy that USED to be successful in here is staggering and it needs to be changed... and oh Johnny boy.. let me assure you that it will be changed. It will ALL change this Sunday Night at Fallout. You may laugh this off John, you may listen to my words tonight, and tell me to relax.. have a drink.. smile.. but I'm not smiling John.. I won't smile until the dust is settled on Sunday Night and I'm standing over your lifeless body with my hand raised in victory and the EBWF Path To Glory Championship around my waist.
The Miz smirked as the boo's were starting to increase.
The Miz: Go ahead and boo me. It feels good. I love it. I need it. Go ahead.. more.
The boo's got louder.
The Miz: Why boo? huh? Is it because you're all just appalled that I would be so cold to someone you all thought was my friend. Is that it? Let me tell you all something, there are no friends in this business. Just a bunch of guys who are all after the same thing.. you may see a couple of tigers coexisting and getting along fine.. but you throw a steak into the cage, and see how long the friendship lasts.. and for me John.. the EBWF Title is and will always be my steak.. it's what I want.. it's what I need to feed my hunger of PROVING that I'm still the standard in this company. It's what I need to prove that the face of this company should NOT be John Cena.. it SHOULD BE ME.. it WILL BE ME And you John.. buddy.. pal.. have my ticket to that title..to that changing of the guard.. resting on your shoulder in the EBWF Path To Glory Championship.. so any friendship.. any camaraderie we have goes out the window pretty quick, when that baby is up for grabs. I am not a background singer, John. I'm not a wallflower. I'm a star.. and this Sunday Night.. I'm going to shine just as bright.. NO BRIGHTER than I ever have.. because even though EVERYONE and their mother..are thinking that there's no way the great John Cena loses ANOTHER title so quickly.. I know.. and I think you know too John.. that they ALL are sadly...
The Miz got softer and even more intense.
The Miz: Sadly... mistaken.
Now he got very loud for the big finish.
The Miz:
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECAUSEEEEEEEE I'MMMMMMMMMMM THE MIZZZZZZZZZZ
ANNNNNNNNNDD I'MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
AWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESOMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
The Miz flipped the mic arrogantly to the mat, as "I Came To Play" by Downstait was heard, and an in shock crowd booed Miz, as he exited the ring. One thing was for sure, there were no friends, in a main event of an EBWF Pay Per View. The scene faded to black.
