A bleary eyed Jonathan Coachman appeared on screen. Wearing a pinned stripped suit and maroon tie, he looked much more dishevelled than usual, as if he had dressed in a hurry. The surroundings were so dark nothing other than Coach can be clearly seen. With a microphone in hand, there was a slight look of intrigue as his eyes flicked around trying to discover who was awaiting him.
Jonathan Coachman - Hi, this is Jonathan Coachman reporting exclusively for EBWF.net from the Allphones Arena in Sydney Australia. [Taking a glance at his watch, he made an over exaggerated wide eyed expression of shock] Its 5am, I received a call 45 minutes ago telling me to get down here to conduct an interview. No word who it might be ..... [Coach looked around more, he had clear grown slightly agitated by the delay. He decided to call out.] HELLO? IS ANYONE HERE?
As soon as he had spoken a few of the arena lights sparked into life. It was a truly magnificent sight. The warm glow given by the lighting caught the Olympic rings positioned on the wall, a reminder to everyone of the buildings original purpose. There was an eerie silence being given off by the 20,000 plus empty seats. The EBWF ring had been set up in preparation for the evenings impending Warfare show. A dim spot light on the squared circle illuminated a giant figure of a man.
Coachman's face visibly dropped as he immediately recognised the man as the Undertaker. He was wearing a floor length, medieval style coat, in the customary black. He tossed aside the black fur felt fedora hat he was wearing to reveal his newly shaven Mohican hair style. Jonathan Coachmen rolled his eyes theatrically, but it did not disguise the glimmer of fear as the Undertaker raised his hand slightly and beckoned him over.
Jonathan Coachman - Why couldn't they have called Chrisy Hemme for this one?
The Coach moved as slowly as possible to prolong the inevitable, unenviable task of interviewing the Undertaker, he made his way down the aisle. Once he had reached the ringside, climbed the steel steps, and as he could not stall any longer, he stepped inside the ring. A wicked smile flicked across the Undetaker's face, clearly he enjoyed Coachman's moments of awkwardness.
Undertaker - Many thanks for joining me at such an early hour Jonathan.
Jonathan Coachman - [A forced smile crept across his face.] Its fine, I couldnt think of anywhere else I'd rather be right now than filming for our EBWF online audience. [The comment had obviously been drenched in sarcasm, but the Undertaker seemingly ignored it, not reacting at all.] Are we here to discuss your triple threat match tonight on Warfare against Phil Shatter and Daniel Rodimer?
The Undertakers deep voice, although softly spoken still seemed to fill the empty arena with every carefully chosen word. He was pacing up and down the ring, slowly, with a gracefulness which almost poked fun at his hulking frame.
Undertaker - Indeed Jonathan, I thought you more than anyone would like to hear my musings on the latest match. Two more of the EBWF's finest that are being thrown like lambs to the slaughter tonight. Two more I will brush aside and then can carry on with my current mission, to show Ron Killings the truth that lies within him.
Jonathan Coachman - [Looking completely confused confused] The truth? Ron Killings? But your match is against Phil Shatter and Daniel Rodimer, isnt it?
Undertaker - [The Coach was given an annoyed look, as if being forced to clarify his point was going to be a monumental waste of his time.] Thats correct Jonathan, Ron Killings has come to the EBWF making claims about there being no truth in the darkness, but he cannot comprehend what he is unleashing upon himself. However, tonight Phil Shatter and Daniel Rodimer will be those who feel my wrath, Ron will have to wait for his moment of enlightenment.
Jonathan Coachman - [He grasped at the opportunity to steer the conversation onto safer ground, and hopefully avoid any more evil glares from the Undertaker.] So your feeling confident for your match, both Phil and Daniel are strong competitors and shown themselves to be real up and coming superstars here in the EBWF.
Undertaker - Let me remind you Jonathan I have already defeated Phil Shatter once. And tonight history will repeat itself when I defeat him again. Since receiving his judgement on Warfare at my hands, Phil has gone [The Undertaker let out a slight chuckle] missing in action. But I cant blame him for that. Because you know Jonathan last time I was in the ring with him I saw a gut less coward stood before me. Even worse is when you look into his eyes you can tell he knows he is a pathetic coward. A quitter. If he is foolish enough to turn up tonight then he will once again be treated to the same Chapel of Satan judgement. [The Undertaker stepped forward getting much closer to Coachman's face.] Only this time it will be ten times worse, as my time is precious and I do not take kindly to wasting it on the same helpless soul more than once.
Jonathan Coachman visibly flinched as the Undertaker spat those last words in in face.
Jonathan Coachman - Ah o o o o o-okay, but Phil Shatter isnt the only man who'll be in the ring. There is one of the hottest new comers around completing the triple threat, Daniel Rodimer.
Undertaker - Indeed. On the other hand we have Daniel Rodimer, his time for judgement is fast approaching. He takes delight in telling everyone he's the man, well [a much more intense look filled his eyes and an aggressive tone to his voice took over as the Undertaker lent closer to the Coach once again.] I am the deadman and this has been my yard for years and [The Undertaker shook his head] that wont change tonight. When you step into my yard, all your talk counts for nothing as you play by my rules. The rules that have been set in stone by me for over 20 years, since I first destroyed the immortal one. And do you know why in that time I've been the best in the business? Because I enjoy inflicting pain on those that have dared to stand before me.
The Undertaker regained his composure a little and took a step back before he continued to talk staring directly into the camera.
Undertaker - Tonight you will experience things you have never encountered before Daniel. Pain isnt bad, pain is good. It teaches you things about yourself and tonight Daniel you will learn more about yourself than you ever thought possible. You will learn how far you can be pushed, you will learn how much punishment your body can take, and you will learn what it feels like to be laid out in my yard, [The Undertake pointed a single finger of his gloved hand to the ceiling.] staring up to the rafters, with your hands crossed over your chest for the final time as I pin you 1. 2. 3. And at that point you will know that telling the world that you're the man isnt good enough to defeat me.
The Undertaker stepped away, in silence. He ran his hand over his stubbly mohawk with his eyes shut. The gesture took so long you could have been forgiven for thinking it had taken place in slow motion. Once the Undertaker moved his hand back to his side it was like he'd wiped away all of the previous anger and intensity. He was then stood before the Coach a much more composed figure and again spoke softly.
Undertaker - Jonathan look down at me and you see a fool, look up to me and you see a god, look straight at me you see yourself. With the support of the Chapel of Satan tonight, Phil Shatter and Daniel Rodimer will
In
Peace.
Immediately the gong sound was heard and the arena lights flashed off for only a split second, but the Undertaker had disappeared and to the utter shock of Jonathan Coachmen the ring was surrounded by 20 hooded figures, all of which were standing motionless as the exclusive EBWF.net interview faded to black.
