Ted DiBiase sat in his locker room moments before his match, he had a camera man filming him before he was set to face off against Erick Rowan of the Wyatt Family. Ted was in his ring gear and he had his Path to Glory Championship draped over his shoulder.
Ted Jr: You see this? This championship that I have right here? It means that I get a World Championship match WHENEVER I want. Do you know who I had to beat to get it? AJ Styles, former World Champion. Kevin Nash, former World Champion and resident EBWF Twitter troll. And Bray Wyatt, the leader of his little family. Tonight I'm facing one of the Wyatts. Erick Rowan gets to be the first person to take me on in the King of the Ring Tournament. But I'm not worried, I'm more focused on next week. Next week is when I get a real challenge. The winner of this entire tournament gets to face John Cena for the World Championship. But do I really need to win when I have this championship? Not really, but some friendly competition doesn't hurt. So tonight Rowan gets the honour of being in the ring with the Path to Glory Champion, and that'll be the closest he ever gets to a championship in his life.
Ted stood up and walked towards the camera.
