Win or Go Home
Win or Go Home
EBWF Death Before Dishonor had just gone off the air and AJ Styles was not successful in the main event. Sure it was another great match between Styles and Miz, but in the end Miz was victorious. Styles found himself backstage after the show was over talking with Renee Young. She wanted to get a small interview with him for ebwf.net and he agreed to be apart of it. After the camera crew was in place the two began.
Renee Young: Hello, here with me at this time is a resident EBWF veteran The Phenomenal AJ Styles.
Styles nodded to acknowledge the camera. His arms were folded and he stood against a wall looking rather disappointed in himself.
Renee Young: With all due respect, the last few months have been pretty rough on you. You lost the World Championship back in March to Brock Lesnar. You fell to the hands of Wes Ikeda at WrestleMania. You also failed to defeat Ted DiBiase and the Miz for their respected championships. I have to ask, just what is next for you, AJ?
Styles stood silent as he contemplated an answer. He finally broke his silence and spoke up.
AJ Styles: To be honest, I only have one more chance. One more chance to not only prove to the world that I'm the best wrestler in this business, but prove it to myself. The King of the Ring tournament begins this month and like usual, the winner will go on to face the World Champion at Summerslam. Now, I've already seen the brackets and the next Warfare I'll be opening the tournament in a first round match against Bray Wyatt, a man who is quiet possibly coo-coo for CoCo Puffs. Am I afraid? Fuck no. Am I pissed off? Hell yeah. I am going to hurt this guy. I am going to unleash the beast on Bray Wyatt. Like I said earlier, this is my last chance. Either I become King of the Ring 2014 or I walk away from this business for good.
Styles walked away leaving Renee Young shocked after his declaration. Styles was one of the greats, he had done almost everything there was to do in the EBWF, except become King of the Ring. Deep down in his heart he knew that he could actually win this years competition. But he felt that if he couldn't, then he didn't deserve to be apart of the EBWF anymore. Failure was not an option. Styles was either going to win... or go home.
