Backstage at Warfare

.:: The camera came on and Damien Sandow was seen watching a television screen while standing backstage at the Moda Center. Mick Foley was in the middle of his match against Bray Wyatt and Sandow was standing with a smile on his face. He was in his wrestling attire and had the Breakout Championship slung over his right shoulder. As he stood watching the match the camera moved closer to him. Sandow stopped smiling and had a look of deep thought on his face as he stroked his beard and appeared to be pondering a thought. At that time Todd Grisham walked up next to Sandow with a microphone in his hand. Grisham was wearing a suit and tie on his body, and a concerned look on his face. The concerned look was probably because Grisham knew how Sandow usually reacted to interviewers in the EBWF. In the past Sandow had not been very welcoming to interviewers. He had seen them as a waste of time and thought anyone could do their jobs. He made that clear once when he had Michelle McCool interview him and said it was the best interview he had ever had. Grisham stood with said concerned look on his face for a couple of moments before attempting to begin the interview.

Todd Grisham: [Grisham cleared his throat.] Hey Damien I was wondering if I could ask you a couple of questions about your match coming up later tonight against Dolph Ziggler.

Damien Sandow: Todd Grisham, can you not see that I am studying a new competitor in this company? I am on a scouting trip right now watching someone who will more than likely be a future opponent of mine. Of course I am talking about the newly acquired Wyatt. I have already beaten Foley a couple of times. He is in my review mirror.

Todd Grisham: Of course, Mr. Sandow. I apologize to interrupt this moment for you but it is time for your interview session and I figured I would come to you instead of making you come to me.

Damien Sandow: Come to you Todd? I am sure that is something NO ONE has ever done. [Sandow smiled and laughed to himself.] Just kidding Todd, go for it. I already know I can defeat both of these men. Just keep it classy is all I ask. No stupid questions.

Todd Grisham: [Laughing, trying to be friends with Sandow.] When I was growing up I was told there was no such thing as a stupid question.

Damien Sandow: I bet you were Todd. I bet your mother told you that you were a handsome young man too didn’t she? She told you that you could be anything that you wanted to be when you grew up. She told you that one day you would make a beautiful girl a happy lady one day. [Sandow paused.] What I am trying to get at Todd is, not everything that everyone says to true. Especially if you are an ignoramus much like Todd Grisham.

Todd Grisham: [Grisham put his head down and then tried to force a smile to his face.] Damien, first I would like to congratulate you and Rodimer on your big victory last week over The Miz and Dibiase. Something that everyone noticed during that match is that you displayed a mean streak that we had never seen before from you. Would you like to comment on that?

Damien Sandow: There is one simple answer to that question, Todd. When I signed back on with EBWF I knew that I would be teaming up with Rodimer. Not meaning that I would only have matches with him, but that we would create a team that would dominate this company. I was surprised, however, what I would find out from teaming with him. I thought that I would teach the kid things he didn’t know. I thought that he would learn in ring and out of ring things from me. No surprise he has learned things from me. [Sandow paused.] What I didn’t expect was the learn anything from Rodimer. I knew he had had a great college football career as an amateur athlete. I knew he had tried a couple other times to make it big in the wrestling industry. That is however, all I knew about him. I never knew he had the mean streak in him that he has. Daniel has taught me that it doesn’t always have to be about being smarter than the other guy. There is a time where it is appropriate to let the anger out and beat down the man across the ring from you. This is something I was incapable of understanding during my time with WWE. I thought if I came down to the ring and outsmarted my opponent that I would make it to the top of the mountain. Obviously from the joke I became there I displayed that was not the case. So when I came back to EBWF I promised Rodimer that I would help him become the next big thing in this company. I promised him that if he took advice from me, this company would become his home and he would never have to try another promotion again. [Sandow got a serious look on his face.] In return, Rodimer promised me that he would help me step out of my box. He promised me that he would never allow me to become a joke in this industry ever again. You better believe with this new streak in me, I will never be comedic relief EVER again as a professional athlete!

Todd Grisham: I know I would never think of you as a joke here in EBWF Damien. [Grisham paused and changed the subject.] That being said, do you have any thoughts on your opponent tonight?

Damien Sandow: What can I say about my opponent tonight that has not already been said… By HIMSELF? Dolph Ziggler will talk your ear off about how he is the best wrestler in this company. He may be right. He has accomplished a lot this year alone in EBWF. None of the things he has accomplished here impress me though Todd. I am more impressed by things you don’t accomplish in the ring. I am impressed by things people accomplish in life. For example, it is very impressive that I graduated college Summa Cum Laude. It isn’t very impressive that Dolph Ziggler graduated from his basement after being taught by his mom for 18 years of his life. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with home schooling. That is if you have a legit reason to be home schooled. I imagine the reason Ziggler stayed at home was because he needed his mommy to tell him every day that he was the best looking kid in the neighborhood. He probably needed her to bleach his hair every morning too, so there is that. [Sandow paused with a smile.] What I am trying to say Todd is that when it comes to unimportant buffoons, Dolph Ziggler is the leader of the pack. Because he has never personally accomplished anything in his life, he thought he would come here and bully people. You know what I hate more than anything? A person who is so blind to himself. A person who thinks they are the best of smartest person in the World when they don’t compare to even the most mundane person. Ziggler talks about how he is the best looking, most talented, sexiest person in EBWF. None of that is going to matter later tonight when we step in to the ring Todd. Ziggler can pose all he wants in front of a mirror if he thinks that is going to work for him. When he steps through the ropes he is going to have another thing coming. The new mean streak of Damien Sandow will make an appearance. Just in case you can’t do the match Grisham, now I am smarter and better than Ziggler. Sandow two, Ziggler nothing. After I beat him tonight in our match I will be up three to nothing.

Todd Grisham: One last thing Damien. Has Rodimer talked to you about the redemption card? Seeing as he lost his last match to Ziggler during the King of the Ring tournament?

Damien Sandow: There was no need for that Todd. The only kind of people that use the redemption card are ones that have no motivation. I have motivation. My motivation is becoming the best in this business. My motivation is helping Brains and Brawn becoming the biggest success this company has ever had. My motivation is showing off… The Showoff! In other words… Redemption? I don’t need not stinkin’ redemption! [Sandow smiled at the camera and then his face got serious.] Tonight Dolph, you will be begging me to stop the fierce beat down I am going to lay down on you. So bad, there will only be one thing you will be able to say to me… THANK YOU! [Sandow paused.] Hey Dolph… You’re Welcome!

.:: Sandow walked by Grisham and walked towards the entrance of the arena as he prepared for his upcoming match. ::.
