The final stop before the annual Survivor Series pay-per-view and it was certainly an exciting night to be a part of. Not only did we earlier see the return of The Rock but the lumberjack match between CM Punk and Bad News Barrett concluded in a way nobody ever expected it to finish. The men who would compete in the traditional Survivor Series elimination tag team match were all surrounding the ring to watch their respective captains go head to head with the events of the previous week still fresh in Team Punk’s minds, Daniel Bryan turning on his team to join Barrett, Ryback, Tyler Breeze and Justin Gabriel which left CM Punk with only two partners with two spots left to fill – if anyone wanted to take them. Little did the EBWF Universe know what the Best in the World had planned, the return of The Icon took the fans and Team Barrett by surprise whilst Dean Ambrose evened the odds. Punk picked up the victory over Barrett via disqualification and headed into Survivor Series with momentum on their side. Right after the match and the commercial break, Sami Zayn was walking through the backstage area with his Intercontinental Championship draped over his left shoulder as he donned a small grin on his face, clearly happy with the events that unfolded earlier and extremely happy to be part of such a talented team. As he continued to walk he was stopped be Renee Young who wanted to catch a few words with the Intercontinental Champion.
RENEE YOUNG
Sami! … Sami! A victory for your captain out in the ring tonight – even though it’s probably not the way you wanted it – but what a turnaround with the two final members finally revealed as Sting and Dean Ambrose! What are your thoughts?
SAMI ZAYN
A genuine surprise for our team, Punk didn’t tell me nor Enzo about who else was joining and quite frankly our minds we already had our minds set on the three of us heading into Survivor Series as a team of three but no, what a team; a team I am proud to be a part of and a team Wade Barrett knows is one not to be taken lightly. I mean…we saw the return of Sting, such a colossal figure in the entire wrestling industry and if that wasn’t enough for Wade and his team then it seems Punk has unleashed a lunatic so Sunday should be a very entertaining night for all involved and those watching.
RENEE YOUNG
This will be your first Survivor Series event in the EBWF so what does that mean to you? Not only that but you are teaming with the likes of CM Punk and Sting as well?
SAMI ZAYN
Well firstly Renee – although it’s a huge honor – this weekend and these past few weeks haven’t been about individuals, they’ve been about a team and our team is going to do whatever it takes, however much pain we need to go through to get that win, we’ll do it. As for Sting…his career speaks for itself and my words won’t even do him justice, he did what he does best and that is continue to surprise the world and regardless of what anyone will say I can assure you he has what it takes to help us to glory. Dean Ambrose? The Lunatic Fringe…I guess uh… I guess that is kind of self-explanatory really, Renee. Put it this way, I’d hate to be a member of Team Barrett right now.
RENEE YOUNG
Well just moments ago Wade Barrett told Jonathan Coachman that he thinks it’s Team Punk who are a team of individuals and not Team Barrett, your thoughts?
SAMI ZAYN
I guess Wade is entitled to his own opinion to make himself feel better, we saw what Wade Barrett is like when he left his team out in the cold and ran away but thankfully Dean stopped him, so I guess that shows who the bunch of individuals are, and you know what? I can see the same thing happening at Survivor Series, just when his team is on the back foot don’t be surprised to see Wade bail out and preach how he never lost; that’s the kind of man he is. His entire team hasn’t been through what the most of us have been through to get here, they don’t have it, they need it on Sunday because it’s more important than it seems, the art of survival.
RENEE YOUNG
Well both Ryback and Wade Barrett had a few words to say about you also, let’s just take a look.
The camera then showed a previous interview which was conducted by Jonathan Coachman who was victim of a number of jokes aimed at his career; Sami and Renee watched the screen and the snippet of the interview before the camera cut back to Renee and Sami; who was smiling to himself as he looked on the ground thinking of how to respond.
SAMI ZAYN
Well it was certainly nice of Wade to acknowledge this impressive run I’ve been on and I don’t plan on that that run ending this Sunday, because I’m going to do everything my body allows me to do to make sure our team, the team with honor, walks out with the w. Sure, I am weak and it’s no secret that they can out-power me any day of the week but strength won’t win them this match, the ability to survive will, the ability to work together as a team and they don’t have that, when one falls then the rest will follow. Wade can say what he likes, he and Ryback can weaken me inside that ring, he can allow Gabriel and Breeze to use their speed on me and go ahead, allow the traitor to use his technical prowess to wear me down but the fact of the matter is, I’ve already kicked half of your teams ass inside that ring and most recently that was Daniel Bryan so I’m not worried in the slightest. And secondly, it’s nice you’re allowing all of your team to waste their energy on me; no honestly I feel special right now but even though I could get eliminated, there is a knee that can put each and every single one of you to sleep when you least expect it and a victory for one of our members, is a victory for us all. After all, this is the season of giving, I'm sure we can give a special ass-kicking this Sunday at the Survivor Series pay-per-view.

Before you leave Sami, is there anything you’d like to say to Team Barrett?
SAMI ZAYN
Even though all of the talking will be done inside of that ring I just can’t resist. You can say what you like about our experienced clown who swings his bat and how Punk recruited a psycho and how myself and Enzo won’t even amount to anything but please, remember those words because when we defeat you, we’ll never let you forget it. The fact is, Tyler Breeze will be the first to fall; I mean no offence but I don’t think anyone on our team is really beautiful…nope…okay maybe Enzo, but just how long can Tyler stay inside that ring with eight other ‘uggos’, that will…that will be too much for Tyler too handle so he will just split and leave your team to be! Justin Gabriel will be the next man to fall, I liked Justin he is one of the more talented guys in the company but he too doesn’t seem to have his head screwed on right if he decided to join your team, but I know Punk wants his revenge and he will want to show the world why he is the best in the world and when he pins the Path to Glory Champion that leaves the five of us against the three of you. Then we have…Daniel Bryan, everyone’s favourite traitor. I’m feeling pretty confident because I defeated him last week, so I think I can do pretty much the same this Sunday, technical prowess? I haven’t seen that technical prowess in a very, very long time and quite honestly, I don’t think our team will see that prowess come Sunday, I’ve already made the master of submissions tap so perhaps we can switch it up and hit one Helluva Kick on him to eliminate him from the match; which leaves us one and a half. Ryback…feed me more, feed me more, I am sure our team will grant your wish because that same old man you’re laughing at will be standing over your head and actually, he’ll be doing you a favour because every time he swings his bat on your head and connects, he can probably knock even a tiny bit of common sense back into that thick skull of yours and realise Wade Barrett is using your imposing figure to reach new heights. And then, there was one. Wade Barrett, well there will be some bad news for you because you’ll be the last to fall, and we have two – as you said – cowards ready to rip you apart and eliminate the captain, Enzo and Dean; I’m sure they can come to some sort of arrangement as to which one of the two gets to have the honor of eliminating the Team Captain; there’s no bigger embarassment than that in your eyes Wade. Hell, will you even be the final man standing in your team? When Ryback goes I’m sure you’ll split as well because with five of us still standing there’s no way Wade Barrett has grown a pair in a matter of days to stand in the ring and fight. Nobody from your team will survive, whereas Team Punk will stand tall. We’ve got it all, Renee, the complete recipe to succeed, we have the best in the world, we have the Intercontinental Champion, we have the realest guy in the room ready to make a huge impact on Sunday, we have the experience…and we have the right amount of crazy to take us all the way.
Sami stared at Renee for a brief moment before turning away with a smile on his face, feeling very confident and couldn’t wait for Survivor Series to come around so he could play his part in Team Punk reigning supreme over Team Barrett.
