"Absolutely. I've got it all under control. Of course, sir."
Paul Heyman's back was turned to the camera when it walked on him, engaging in a conversation on his iPhone. He glanced over at the camera, gave it an irritated sneer, then returned to his conversation.
Paul Heyman: "I've got to go. Camera's here. Don't worry. Everything is going to work out exactly as planned. I will see to it."
Heyman hit the End Call button on his iPhone and slid it into the inside pocket of his jacket. He turned to face the camera.
Paul Heyman: I suppose you're here to get a word from my client, Brock Lesnar. I suppose you want to ask the BEAST what his...
Heyman obnoxiously put his two fingers up in each hand and made quote marks.
Paul Heyman: ..."thoughts" are going into a match-up with a beaten down, broken old axle like Syxx. A man that has been in this business for decades, and has nothing to show for it. I suppose you want to know what Brock Lesnar thinks about Syxx. You could ask him what his state of mind is going into a match with a man who, despite all of his hard work in the EBWF, has never made it to the top of the mountain. Never tasted the glory of becoming the EBWF World Champion. A glory my client accomplished in his first week.
Heyman smiled smugly to the camera screen.
Paul Heyman: Allow me to answer all of your questions for you. You see, Brock Lesnar has no thoughts about Syxx, because Brock Lesnar does not think. He does not feel. He does not care. He was genetically constructed from birth to become a courier of unmitigated intensity and destruction. My client... BAARRRROOOCCCCKKK... LESNAR, is a conduit of death and despair. Brock Lesnar does not have a 'state of mind' when he gets into the ring. He has one thing: a directive. And that directive is to meticulously, efficiently, painfully disassemble the man that is unfortunate enough to be his opponent that evening. That is his directive, and it guides his entire essence. That is why it took SEVEN. DAYS. to climb to the top of the mountain in the EBWF. That is why he conquered Ultimate Fighting and became their reigning, defending Heavyweight Champion of the World, and became the number one box office draw of all time. THAT. Is why Brock Lesnar exists. Brock Lesnar exists because there are people in this business that have the arrogance, the absolute hubris, to think that they are the best. People like Syxx, people like AJ Styles. People like John Cena.
Heyman paused for a moment, looking down at the floor and clasping his palms together as he gathered his thoughts.
Paul Heyman: People like to say that I possess a lot of braggadocio, as it were. That my overconfidence in my own importance exudes from my pores like bad body odor. Perhaps that is true. But my arrogance is infinitesimal in scope compared to the conceitedness that grips the wrestlers of this company. That the people of EBWF would dare consider themselves the best, when they are in the presence of one of the most dominant, one of the most terrifying, one of the most freakishly athletic super-competitors in the industry, Brock Lesnar, is delusion of the highest order. And when my client steps into the ring at Warfare and dispatches the fan favorite Syxx with nothing short of the highest level of prejudice, perhaps people will finally realize where their place is in the greater scheme of things.
Heyman nodded towards the empty locker room behind him.
Paul Heyman: As you can see, my client Brock Lesnar is not here at the moment. So, you will simply need to take my word for it that he is not concerned with Syxx. His concern at the moment lies in the gym half a block from here, as he attempts rip a punching bag apart with his bare hands. Unfortunately for the bastard cousin of the New World Order, eventually the punching bag will no longer be his target. Eventually, it's going to be Syxx. Now, I'm going to make a phone call. When I'm done, if you're still here you can tell me your thoughts on that.
Heyman smirked and shook his head as he reached for his phone, fiddling with it for a moment and putting it to his ear. The scene faded to black and flashed an EBWF logo in the corner.
