Fight Me

Post by Raza »

Sunday August 30 2015 – SummerSlam – Izod Center – East Rutherford; New Jersey

After weeks of the build-up and the underhanded tactics, the Path to Glory Championship match between The Miz and Solomon Crowe came to an end. A low blow. A low blow is what resulted in Crowe losing the match to The Miz, who followed it up with a Skull Crushing Finale. This meant the opportunity to compete for the World Championship in the near future had passed Crowe by. Once more, the long road to the top started from square one but Crowe wasn’t finished with The Miz, not just yet. Vertex had definitely gotten under the skin of Crowe, usually Crowe was the expert in mind games but this time the tables were turned and The Miz took advantage. Vertex also had a lot to say in the build-up to their match, and despite losing the match; Crowe definitely didn’t forget what each and every single one of them had to say.

The match was now over and Crowe crawled up the ramp, still in agonising pain over the low blow as he turned around to watch them all celebrate. He finally managed to get on his knees as he was being booed by the thousands of fans around the Izod Center. He hurled abuse at the fans closer to the barricade as he slowly turned around, and started to walk to the back. He disappeared through the curtains angrily and the cameras noticed it, and the cameras backstage decided to follow.

He pushed past a few people, and threw things off the tables and the walls as he reacted angrily to his loss. The video package for the upcoming match could be heard backstage as Crowe stopped in the corner, and started to punch the wall before standing up and seeing a very nervous Michael Cole standing next to him.

MICHAEL COLE
I uh….I…this is probably a bad time Solomon, you just…lost…to The Miz. What are thoughts on what happened out there in the ring?

Crowe looked around in disbelief. Almost laughing at the stupidity of Cole’s question, before pointing to Cole to bring the microphone closer. Cole did, but Crowe had to lean down to Cole’s face for his answer.

SOLOMON CROWE
How do you think I feel? You stupid son of a bitch! You all saw what happened out there, he hit me with a low blow, and he STOLE that win from my hands. That sneaky bastard, I should have seen it coming. Stupid!

Cole realised Crowe was visibly frustrated, and decided to back away slowly as Crowe was a mixture of anger and for some reason, he was laughing too. He saw Cole trying to back away, stopping him in his tracks.

SOLOMON CROWE
Hey! HEY! Get back here, here, give me this.

Crowe grabbed the microphone and pushed Cole away, completely out of the picture, before ordering the cameraman to stay there.

SOLOMON CROWE
You, yeah you cameraman stand exactly where you are and I won’t embarrass you on live television. We’re rolling? Okay, good. Miz. I know you’ll get this message because from now until whenever I decide, YOU’RE going to be looking over your shoulder for when I come back for that championship. I should’ve known, I should’ve known a slime ball like you wouldn’t have put up a fight to the end, no, a bitch like you took the easy way out. Hitting me with a low blow to keep that title…this isn’t over. No. Not like this. You assholes don’t get off this easily. Warfare. I want a match, we end this once and for all. Hell I don’t give a shit if it’s you again or you decide to feed Ted DiBiase to the sharks. You’re all mine. Warfare. I’ll be waiting.

Crowe threw the microphone to the ground and started to speak to himself. Walking away as if he was insane, muttering the names of all the Vertex members and laughing after every single one. The camera looked at Crowe walk away, who slapped himself and quickly disappeared with a challenge set for Monday Night Warfare.

Sunday September 6 2015 – The Crowe’s Nest – Anonymous Location

The cameras were back at The Crowe’s Nest. A week had passed since the SummerSlam pay-per-view where The Miz retained the Path to Glory Championship against Solomon Crowe. The scene opened up in the usual location of The Crowe’s Nest. The computing equipment was already there on his desk and the room was dark. The camera picked up Crowe, he was sitting on his chair behind the desk, looking up at a particular section on the wall. There were a few hooks on it as he shook his head in disappointment. Eventually Crowe snapped out of it but started to talk, with his eyes still fixed on the wall.

SOLOMON CROWE
Today, was supposed to be a special occasion. I knew you were going to visit me here, at the Crowe’s Nest. But instead of smiles and good times all you will see is gloom, and a man who has had almost everything taken from his grasps. I expected that in this visit, you would be sitting there, watching me gloating about how superior I am and how I had the rewards to show it. Instead, all I can do is gloat how I still am superior to you all, but with no rewards. Yet. This wall, I was planning on adding my achievements to this wall. This hook…the tongue of The Miz so he FINALLY…stops talking. And on this hook…the Path to Glory Championship. Both of which he still has, that lucky son of a bitch.

At SummerSlam we all know I had that match won, but it’s fine. We won’t dwell on that too much. Because I asked for a match with one of those assholes…and I got one. Yeah, I will admit I was a little disappointed when I heard The Miz wasn’t going to be my opponent. But then I realised my opponent isn’t Ted DiBiase, or Finn Balor, or even Kyle O’Reilly, so yes as you can imagine that was a relief. Which means, my opponent tomorrow night is the mysterious member of Vertex, Kevin Owens.

Crowe swivelled in his chair, showcasing his excitement at the prospect of competing with Kevin Owens…again.

SOLOMON CROWE
I have to say, this is a day I have actually been waiting a very, very long time for Kevin. People may not know this, but the two of us know each other quite well…don’t we, Kevin? At first, when I saw you arrive to the EBWF at long last, I was thinking to myself “why? Why is Kevin aligning himself with somebody like The Miz? Out of all people?” Then it hit me. You two are just as bad as each other, not on my level, not at all…but still bad. In fact, the two of you are a match made in heaven, you both love to talk but hate it when it comes down to the fighting aspect of it all. The Miz has trained you well.

But there is a slight difference. You are quite sneaky, as sneaky as me in fact. As far as I can see, from everybody in Vertex…YOU seem to be the one that enjoys to fight. Well that’s quite fitting, because YOU like to fight and…well…I like to fight as well. So I imagine this thing you and I have going on…I think we’ll get on pretty well, don’t you? The people without knowledge might we wondering just why I’m quite happy at the fact that I have you inside of the ring, again. To be honest, if I couldn’t get The Miz back into the ring then you would definitely be the number one guy in this entire company I wanted inside of this ring and we both know why.

13 July 2012. Watertown, New York. In a little company called 2…C…W. You and I met inside of the ring, didn’t we Kevin? For 15 long minutes you and I put each other through hell and the fans loved every second of the fact that you and I genuinely wanted to leave the other one for dead. The thing back then was…Kevin was a man destined for success. He was going to be a star. Much like Dean Ambrose was going to be a star, Kevin was on his way up. Now, imagine what that does for a man like me? People who thought I wouldn’t ever make it had the chance to go at it with Kevin. For 15 minutes we put each other through hell…and I was THIS close to finishing you. We both know what happened then, don’t we?

Crowe composed himself, shifting in his chair as he was about to let the world know what happened at the conclusion of their previous encounter years ago.

SOLOMON CROWE
This is why I feel you and The Miz get along. You have the same tactics, the same mind. I was close to defeating The Miz at SummerSlam, then he hit me with a low blow and hit me with his Skull Tickling Finale and picked up the win. 13 July 2012, I had the victory in the bag, which was until Kevin…hit me with a low blow and then his package piledriver to take that win from my hands.

It’s okay though. You did what you had to do to get to this stage, and that’s fine because now I get the opportunity to right that wrong and pick up the win, which has been long overdue. You know, as far as I know Kevin…he has that mean streak half the guys in the locker room can only wish they had. That’s bad news for The Miz and that’s bad news for Ted DiBiase, because when ol’ Kev realises he can make a go of things for himself around here…let’s just say Vertex will never be the same. Actually, the entire history of Vertex will be wiped out.

That’s not me giving you credit though, Kevin. The only time I will ever praise you is if you can ever be the same human being after a match with me. Only time will tell now I guess. I saw what The Miz had to say before SummerSlam. That jackass likes to talk a lot doesn’t he? But what I really notices was you standing at the back. Chiming in with your little jokes and witty one-liners about a certain six inches. If you want to get into measurements Kevin, the only one you need to focus on is six feet, because I’m not the same man as I was in 2012. This time, you cross me and I will bury you six feet into the damn ground and nobody will even care that you’ve vanished.

You think it’s funny, don’t you? You think sharing the ring with me is a laughing matter? Well, that may be funny to you, Kevin but what makes ME laugh is people talking and talking and talking before they step foot into the ring with me. Then, they realise they are now way out of their depth and they should have kept their mouth shut but by the time that happens, it’s already too late because there’s genuinely nowhere to run! Then, you beat them so much, so bad that they forget just who they are and what it is they’re doing. Then, they try to escape but you don’t let them, because you’re not done. No, they need to suffer a little more. THAT’S what makes me laugh. After that happens tomorrow night, I’ll send you packing back to Canada a bloody, bruised pulp so that not even your own family recognises who you actually are.

It does make me think though. About this mega stunt you all orchestrated not too long ago. I just want you to put yourself in my shoes…about how I could do the things you did. About how I could easily place a woman from your personal life into that seat and you wouldn’t be able to do a damn thing about it. Or, if I stoop REALLY low…you have two young individuals at home that look forward to seeing you return. Imagine what they would be thinking when you don’t return home on time…or at all for that matter. Imagine what will be going through their heads when you aren’t the same person you were once you left. Imagine what they will FEEL when they look at your disfigured face when they look at you. They won’t want to know you, let alone be in the same damn room as you.

Ask yourself, would it be worth it? All for The Miz? It’s too late now though, you got yourself into this situation and I’m your only way out. Whatever happens, happens. You’ll pay for the role you’ve played in trying to make my life a misery and I’m going to use you and your face to take out all of my frustrations. I don’t care if I smack your head on the ring post until you’re leaking and I’m disqualified. Or, I am busy stomping on your windpipe stuck under a steel chair…you’re going to feel the pain that you haven’t felt in a very long time. I’ll make all of you pay, starting with you tonight.

Crowe calmed himself down in his seat, cracking his neck and wiping the sweat away from his forehead.

SOLOMON CROWE
This ends tomorrow night, for good. I do apologise Kevin, that you have to feel the brunt of it, because the man you’re worshipping is simply too afraid to meet me inside of that ring Kevin. I know, you’re looking to The Miz for inspiration, following his footsteps. I will advise you not to, Kevin. This isn’t 2012. This isn’t Watertown. This isn’t 2CW. This isn’t the same kid you stole a victory from back then and he’s not the same person you saw two weeks ago. You love to fight, I love to fight, so let’s fight! Fight me, Kevin. Fight me.

Crowe looked right into the camera, with a defiant challenge to Owens, making it clear that he wanted a fight and wouldn’t settle for anything less. Crowe started to spin around in his chair as the camera faded to black. Next stop for Crowe was the TD Garden in Boston, where he had the chance to try and cause some damage within Vertex against Kevin Owens.

I'm so sorry I didn't get a post up. Stuff that happened last week is still being drawn out and leaving me feeling icky and emotionally drained. This was a good piece, and I promise to do better next time
