All About Aftermath

The camera focuses in on Dolph sitting on a bunch of crates. He’s wrapping his wrists and fists with white tape. His long hair still dripping, as if he’d just walked out of the shower. He looked over at the camera acknowledging it.

Dolph: Tonight, it’s all about aftermath, it’s the name of the show after all. I keep playing over in my head what happened with Sami, Kevin, Punk and I. I keep thinking back to when Kevin and Punk offered me a spot alongside them. I could have said yes, but that’s not who I am. Kevin Owens has been running his mouth since he got here, and there’s not a single day that goes by without Punk’s mouth writing checks his body can’t cash.

Ziggler bites the tape, and stands up, putting on a leather vest.

Dolph: Sami, I know you’re having issues trusting me, but rest assured, I have your back, just like I know that you will have mine. Would I have chosen you as my partner? Nope, you know that I wouldn’t, and you said it yourself. But you and I are better than that. I know you want payback for that attack, and so do I. You will be going into battle against an old friend, alongside a foe, but all that doesn’t matter, because you and I are moved by something greater than some lost cause, you and I are moved by payback, and tonight, Owens and Punk will feel that payback is the Aftermath for their actions.

Ziggler takes a deep breath.

Dolph: So tonight, Zayn and Ziggler will, for once, team up to kill the team known as “The Last of Us” before they become something relevant. At Aftermath, Kevin Owens and CM Punk will be shown up, when Sami Zayn and Dolph Ziggler show off, and back it up.

Ziggler sticks a “DZtruction” sticker on the camera and walks away confidently.
