It was only a couple of hours before Warfare was to go live. Randy stared at a printout of the EBWF King of the Ring tournament bracket as it stood. Punk and Castle. Miz and Enzo. Taylor and Nakamura. This King of the Ring tournament had Wes' weird midlife crisis written all over it. For the first time in EBWF history, Wes was picking up flamboyant midcard acts like hell and high lightning.

Renee Young: Hey there, stranger. You ready for this?

Randy nodded, crumpling up the tournament bracket and throwing it into the trash.

Randy Orton: Ready as I'll ever be. Not going to be super long, hope that's okay.

Renee Young: Can't get much shorter than Edge's last promo, I can tell you that. I mean, it can't... can it?

Randy shrugged and smirked. Renee narrowed her eyes and huffed.

Renee Young: You at least better have more than once sentence.

Her expression immediately changed as Drew, EBWF's resident senior cameraman, fired up the recorder. She turned to face Randy, who stood up and positioned himself next to Renee, wearing an EBWF RKO t-shirt, and a pair of jeans.

Renee Young: Randy, I wanted to get your thoughts on your match against Rob Van Dam in the main event tonight. What do you think your keys to victory are?

Randy looked at her and tilted his head.

Randy Orton: My keys to victory? I'm going to grab his head and I'm going to bury his face into the wrestling mat with an RKO. That's my key to victory. It's going to hurt.

He shrugged.

Randy Orton: They say on YouTube that RVD took the best RKO in wrestling. I'm sure he's going to prove it tonight. Take care, Renee.

Randy walked off the scene, a smirk on his features as Drew fumbled to turn the camera off. Renee yelled after him.

Renee Young: It was still longer than Edge's promo! You didn't beat him!

He put his arms up in an "Oh well!" gesture before disappearing around the corner, heading for the gorilla position.
