Confidently striding up to Renee was a good looking young man. Wearing a pair red wrestling trunks he had an unzipped leather jacket over the top, revealing his muscular physique. He had a pair of aviator sunglasses on which he removed and tucked into a pocket on his coat. He flashed his winning smile and seem to be distracted by somebody off camera and clearly gave them a wink. But he quickly turned his attention to Renee. He took hold of her free hand and gently kissed it.
Will Ospreay - Renee, you’re even more of a sweetheart in real life than you are on TV.
Young let out a small giggle and could not help herself from smiling back at him.
Renee Young - Thank you. How does it feel to be here in the EBWF, it’s been a real whirlwind few weeks for you?
Will Ospreay - I couldn’t be happier right now. You ain’t wrong, the last few weeks have been insane. I haven’t had a chance to stop and take it all in. Then just as it dies down I get the call from the EBWF and whoop here I am!
Renee Young - You had so many offers on the table what made you choose the EBWF.
Ospreay had a quizzical look on his face.
Will Ospreay - Are you having a bubble?
Renee Young - Excuse me?
Will Ospreay - A bubble. Bubble bath.
Renee Young - What?
A crooked, mischievous smile crossed Will’s face.
Will Ospreay - Renee, looks like there’s a few things I need to teach you. A bubble bath. It’s cockney rhyming slang, bubble bath is a laugh.
Renee looked both confused and slightly embarrassed at the same time. But Will put his arm around her shoulder.
Will Ospreay - Hey it’s fine. Trust me I’m one of the best teachers around, we just might need a few one to one sessions!
Composing herself Renee smiled once again at Ospreay as he gave her a wink, but carried on with her questioning.
Renee Young - Ermmm yeah, I mean no, I mean yes. Errrrr where was I?! Oh that’s right, what made you choose the EBWF over the other offers you had out there?
Will Ospreay - This is THE place to be as a wrestler right now. The EBWF is the place that is always pushing things forward. And what I do in the ring is the future! There might be some people out there who don’t agree, but I’m putting myself on the biggest stage of all to show they’re talking bollocks!
Renee looked slightly surprised at Will’s answer.
Renee Young - You touched on your style, it’s certainly a high flying and unique. How do you think the EBWF Universe will receive it?
Another mischievous look crossed Will’s face.
Will Ospreay - Renee, the EBWF Universe will receive it the only way I give it, hard and fast! I’m here to entertain to everyone who turns up to watch. I’ll be doing things they’ve never seen before. That’s not me showing off, that’s not just me bigging myself up, it’s just facts. I’m not here to blend into the background, I’m here to show everyone I’m the best. I know the EBWF is full of people who are happy to talk about how great they are. Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens, Tyler Breeze, CM Punk, Dalton Castle, Shinsuke Nakamura. The list is endless of those who like to talk here, but you know what Renee, you chat rubbish you get banged! I’m not here to muck about and play games.
Renee Young - Wow, well you’ve got your first match up against Matt Sydal coming up, how do you feel about that?
Will Ospreay - You know what Renee I couldn’t have asked for a better first opponent. I know Matt well, and he knows me. We’ve come across each other in the past and there’s no one I’d rather have my first match against. I actually like Matt. But (Will turned to the camera with a more serious look on his face) Matt mate, what’s with all the rain man stuff? (Will began to speak almost like a robot) I have 4 rope moves, 3 different mat pins….. (he stopped talking like that) Come on mate that doesn’t impress me and it bloody hell it doesn’t impress the ladies. When I’m flying around the ring that impresses the ladies.
He gave Renee a gentle nudge to the side.
Will Ospreay - And what I do in the bedroom impresses them even more!
Young couldn’t help herself from giggle, won over by his cheeky charm.
Will Ospreay - The second that bell rings Matt, everything that’s happened between us in the past is forgotten. As much as I respect you I’m not here to give anyone an easy time. I’m here to show everyone I’m the best and deep down you know I’m the better man. You might have been wrestling longer than me but you’ll be the first person that allows me to show the whole world that I’ve been blessed with pure and natural talent that you could only dream off. I ain’t going to lie, you’ll bring your impressive high flying skills to the match, but they just don’t compare to mine. I’ll happily shake your hand before the match, I’ll even buy you a pint after the match mate, but you have to realise what happens between those ropes is business. I’ve only been wrestling for 4 years and I know that every chance you get to perform is a chance to impress and I’m not going to let this chance slip through my fingers.
Renee Young - Tough talk! Do you have anything else to say to the fans out there before you go?
Will stopped in thought for a moment before looking directly into Renee’s eyes.
Will Ospreay - There are two things I’m the best at. One is flipping around that ring better than anyone else in the entire world.
Will paused for a moment again.
Renee Young - Ermmm you said two things, that’s only one.
Will flashed her a cheeky smile and leant in close to Renee. Gently he pushed a piece of her from her face exposing her ear. He moved his face close to hers and using his hand to cover the microphone he whispered something in her ear. It immediately made Renee flush a bright crimson colour with embarrassment and she let out an almost schoolgirl like giggle as Will moved away with a grin on his face.
Will Ospreay - Ha ha, she knows!
Ospreay blew a kiss to the camera and winked at Renee, again, as he walked away.
