Got Another Thing Wrong...

Scene opens up backstage before EBWF's Monday show, Jay Lethal in his red/black trunks and full attire is pacing back and forth as Matt Striker approaches for a quick comment.

"Er, Mr. Lethal? Mind if we catch a comment before your match tonight with Leo Kruger?"

"You want a comment? What sort of comment do you want Matt? The whole I'm gonna win 101 speech?" Lethal says frantically.

Lethal breathes in, and calmly follows, "Leo, I sure don't know what you're on but if you think you're gonna go 12 rounds with the best, you better bring back-up. Believe ME Leo, I've faced men like you. They've stepped up, just like you and I'm afraid they've gone down like dogs in a landmine field."

Jay sits on the bench in the locker room, starts to re-lace his boots. "I'm not here to play Good Will Hunting Leo, I'm not. I'm here to prove the world of who I am, the greatest first generational wrestler on God's green earth. Unfortunately, that just leaves you in the tight spot of having to prove I'm one of your trophies, or whatever."

"That can't happen Leo, I'm AFRAID I'll have to call it long before that, you're a crazy person, that's all mighty fine outside in the real world, it's full of them but in that ring, my ring, I won't allow somebody of a non-sane mind to wrestle with the best, I'll have to finish you, and you've foreseen what will come but with the wrong person. I won't be suffering long, neither will you...the Lethal Injection comes quick and it'll be over before you can spell tata."

Lethal stands and goes to get warmed up, Matt Striker starts to walk off but Lethal quickly stops him by putting his hand on his shoulder. Lethal steps forward, eyes dead set into the camera.

"...but Leo, you got one more thing wrong. I'm still at the top of that goddamn foodchain, and don't you forget it." Lethal stares into the shot, as we fade to black.
