The many events that took place at WrestleMania 16 were shocking to say the least. And there was no doubt that the spectacle itself would go down in history as one of the all time greats. But perhaps the most shocking moment belonged to Eva Marie defeating Alexa Bliss, Trish Stratus, AND Velvet Sky to become the number one contender to the EBWF Women's Championship, something majority of fans were sure would never happen. It appeared as though Eva's time off from the company was well spent, and her new look was paying dividends. Of course she had to rub it in a little, so there she was, black hair and all, visibly very proud of herself.

EVA MARIE: “Aww, Velvet...tell me, how does it feel? How does it feel to be the first victim of the dark storm? How does it feel knowing that it will forever be etched in the history books that you, a so-called veteran, took the fall to me, a so-called rookie at WrestleMania? That fall from grace must really sting. But you know what's gonna sting worse? When you, 1, lose to me AGAIN tonight, and 2, when you watch me become the next EBWF Women's Champion. Bye-bye now, hater.”

In standard Eva Marie fashion, she blew a kiss intended for Velvet, as well as each and every single one of her "haters." The image of Eva faded. Although the newly dark haired Diva was short on words tonight, she certainly was making up for it with her confidence. Or rather, cockiness.
