No Summer This Year

Alexa Bliss, once again, stood next to Renee Young backstage. Renee, with a smile on her face, looked ready for the interview. Alexa however, did not. Alexa's eyes narrowed as she looked at Renee out of the corner of her eye. Renee quickly begun to speak, getting the interview off to a quick start.

Renee Young: Good evening everyone. The King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments are in full swing here in EBWF and you know what that means...
Alexa Bliss: No Renee, let me tell you what that means.

Alexa turned her body towards Renee.

Alexa Bliss: It means that I have to go out there, week after week, fighting for something that should be rightfully mine. Not only this year, but last year as well.
Renee Young: You didn't participate in the Queen of the Ring Tournament last year.
Alexa Bliss: Uh, duh!! I was the Women's Champion at the time. Of course I didn't compete in the tournament, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't have been Queen. I was the champion, so in all honesty Renee, I was the Queen running this company last year. But this year, I'll actually add the achievement to the ever growing list of accomplishments that I can put on my resume.

Alexa smirked as Renee continued on with the point of the interview.

Renee Young: That is if you can get through Summer Rae tonight.
Alexa Bliss: Summer Rae?

Alexa laughed out and and doubled over. She held up her finger to give her a minute.

Alexa Bliss: Summer Rae? Oh my gawd!! Are you serious? I thought I was going to actually go out there and have to try in this tournament. Next you're going to tell me that if I beat Summer, I get who, Lana... Maryse... A bye?

Alexa rolled her eyes.

Alexa Bliss: Because all these other worthless women around here... Oh wait, only some of them are around. There's others in this tournament that are just getting flown in from their tropical paradise, permanent, vacations. Face it Renee. None of these other girls in this tournament mean a damn to me, especially not Summer Rae.

Alexa paused to allow Renee to get another question in there.

Renee Young: With your history with The Mean Girls, do you think that this match is more personal?
Alexa Bliss: Personal? Between me and Summer? Is that a joke Renee, because I'm not laughing. They only thing personal between Summer and I, is her tag team partner, Sasha Banks. Sasha owes me. If it wasn't for her stealing my title like the gang-banger, hood rat she is, then we wouldn't even be having this conversation because I would be once again for the second year in a row, sitting back, relaxing, watching this tournament on the monitor in the back. Honestly I'd probably flip the channel to some Walking Dead or something like that because this whole tournament, it's pointless.

Bliss shook her head.

Alexa Bliss: Everyone knows that I should already have my shot at Natalya, but of course, the crazy cat lady is too afraid to put her championship on the line against an actual challenger. Instead, she wants to extend her already meaningless reign by defending it against people like Eva Marie, Paige, and Liv Morgan.
Renee Young: But, about Summer Rae?
Alexa Bliss: You want to know about Summer? Before I answer you Renee, let me ask you something. Did you go out and buy all new swimsuits for summer this year?
Renee Young: Of course!!
Alexa Bliss: And did you make sure to pick out the cutest and most adorable ones you could find?
Renee Young: Why wouldn't I?!

Alexa again rolled her eyes.

Alexa Bliss: Well Renee, I hope that you kept the price tags because you're going to need them to return all of them. There's not going to be a summer this year because tonight, after I get through with Summer out in that ring. Anything, and everything with the name "Summer", is going to be too embarrassed to show their faces around here. And that includes the entire season.

Alexa looked into the camera with a smirk.

Alexa Bliss: So folks, get back out those winter coats. It's going to be winter again before you know it because this year... This year, there's not going to be a summer.

She paused before she looked back at Renee.

Alexa Bliss: Not the season, and not Summer Rae. Do you understand that? I'm going to put an end to "Summer", before it even begins.

Without another word, Alexa walked off, leaving Renee standing alone once again.
