The camera opened up on the parking garage inside the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Parked right in front was a long white limousine, the motor still running. The driver stepped out and walked around the front of the elongated vehicle, stepping past the cameraman. He reached the passenger side door at the back of the limo and opened it. The camera zoomed into the inside of the limo and Natalya was sitting on one side, legs crossed. The EBWF Women's Championship was folded neatly next to her.
Natalya: If you want to get a word from the Women's Champion, get in here and I'll give it to you.
She didn't even lift her head up from her phone. The cameraman acquiesced, stepping into the car and sitting opposite the Champion. After a moment of silence, Natalya looked up at the camera. She smirked and nodded in the direction of her title belt.
Natalya: Bet you didn't think that would be here with me, did you? You wouldn't be the first. Everyone was super excited to witness the world's greatest comeback story. Sasha Banks, having lost the title to Natalya at Christmas Eve of Destruction, went on a redemption quest and won the Queen of the Ring, earning herself a shot at the champ. So she drags her 80 year old ex-rapper cousin Snoop Dogg out in a wheelchair to make her look important, and everyone buys it hook, line, and sinker.
Nattie finally put her phone down and looked at the camera, a look of disdain on her features. She rolled her eyes dramatically.
Natalya: I didn't buy it. I never bought it. Never got the hype of Sasha Banks. Never understood her big fan following. Never got the fact that everyone can't shut up about her. So I went out there at Summerslam and did what I do best. The same thing I've done to every contender that's come near me. I beat her and kept MY title. Now she can go back to fighting Liv Morgan and all of the other subpar excuses for wrestlers in the women's division today. And speaking of subpar...
She sighed.
Natalya: Nikki Cross. The fact that I have not yet received a thank you card from you is nothing short of amazing. You should be on your stubby little knees, praising me for giving you a spot on the show. I pulled you out of the doldrums so you could be my tag team partner, and you had an amazing opportunity to be close to the Women's Champion and learn all you could. You repaid that gift with a poor attitude and a sense of entitlement. And now because of the fact that you tried to embarass me, you've earned yourself a match second from the top on Warfare. Congratulations.
Nattie golf clapped half-heartedly, a look of faux-approval on her face.
Natalya: I hope you're happy with yourself. No thanks to you, I'm still THE woman in this division. If you had just done your job and been appreciative of the opportunity that I gave you, you would still have a chance to remain relevant. But since you decided to go into business for yourself, I'm going to end your time trying to weasel your way into my spotlight. Once I put you in the Sharpshooter and you desperately tap out, your ability to even SEE the top of the division will come to an abrupt conclusion, and then you can go back to talking to yourself in the boiler room, or whatever it is you do. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a pre-match spa appointment that I will be late for if you do not leave, like right now.
Nattie gestured towards the door. The cameraman exited the limo and barely got his last foot out before the door slammed shut and the limo backed up towards the exit. The EBWF logo flashed in the corner before going to black.
Out of My Spotlight
Re: Out of My Spotlight
The line about the thank you card made me laugh. Love what you're doing with Natalya, Cory!
