Ending the Carousel

EBWF.net Exclusive

The camera came up on Michael Cole who was wearing his usual brown suit and tie combo. He adjusted his tie and smiled brightly.

Michael Cole: Greetings, ladies and gentlemen! I'm Michael Cole and I'm here at the American Airlines Center in Dallas Texas! In just a couple hours, EBWF will go live with Survivor Series, and I'm here to get some final words from some of the world's greatest athletes who are competing tonight! Starting off, I'm on my to go meet with--

Voice: Michael.

Michael Cole: I, um...

Natalya: MICHAEL.

Natalya appeared in front of the camera, wearing a black skirt suit with a pink blouse. Her blonde hair was tied neatly back in a pony tail, and she had the EBWF Women's Championship draped over her shoulder. Cole looked at her trepidatiously as she approached him with purpose.

Michael Cole: Hi Natalya! How, um... how may I help you?

Natalya: Where is Chris Jericho?

Michael looked around frantically.

Michael Cole: I'm not sure, Natalya. He's probably pretty busy.

Natalya: I don't want to hear that. I've been looking all over for him and I couldn't find him.

Michael Cole: Is there something the matter?

Natalya: Oh, I don't know. Maybe this?!

She produced a piece of paper that was folded in fourths from her jacket. She aggressively palmed it onto Michael's chest before turning to admire her championship belt, complete with custom black hart side plates. Cole unfolded the paper and scanned the writings on it. His face was completely blank.

Michael Cole: It's the Survivor Series card.

Natalya: Ding, ding, ding! Thanks for the stunning observation, Cole! Do you have any other pearls of wisdom for me?!

Michael Cole: What's your issue with this? And you know this has been relesed to the public for days, right?

Natalya: Ugh, you really are that stupid. I don't know why I'm ever surprised.

She angrily snatched the printed card from Cole and put it inches from his face, pointing at her name.

Natalya: Natalya. Versus. Liv Morgan AND Nikki Cross?!

Cole silently shrugged, completely at a loss for words.

Natalya: So what, they couldn't find a new, interesting contender for me so they threw two women that I've already beaten the brakes off of in a triple threat match and gave them yet another shot at MY championship?

Michael Cole: I'm assuming that's a rhetorical question.

Natalya: YOU'RE GOD DAMN RIGHT IT IS.

Nattie was fuming. Her shoulders rose and fall rapidly as she tried to control her breathing. She smoothed her suit out and cleared her throat.

Natalya: Ahem. It's ridiculous, Michael, and you know it. How sad have we become as a Women's Division that these two just get opportunity after opportunity. There was a time when I considered Liv Morgan to be an actual contender. That woman won the Royal Rumble and went on to face me at Wrestlemania. That was a great match. And now? The same rehashed shtick with the shoes and the "snapback", whatever that is. Marching out to the ring looking like Carmella's hooker sister. I can't even begin to tell you how little she actually deserves the shot that she is getting. Especially considering that I've beaten her multiple times.

Michael Cole: Don't you think that--

Natalya: And DON'T get me started on Nikki Cross. I've beaten her too! Not to mention she's a damned psychopath! I'm sick of wrestling blonde-Snooki and bitch-Mankind. I want REAL competition, Michael!

Michael Cole: How about Trish Stratus?

Natalya: REAL competition! Do I have to beat it into your thick skull?!

Cole flinched, taking a step back.

Michael Cole: No, you certainly don't need to do that. I saw what you did to Renee Young.

Natalya: That's what happens when I feel disrespected. And this?

She snapped the folded printout of the card.

Natalya: This is a great example of the disrespect I get every week. That's why I'm looking for Chris Jericho. I was under the impression that Jericho knew my worth as Women's Champion. I was under the impression that he had my back. Especially after the way he granted me the rematch that I was due the week before Destiny against that egocentric witch Trish Stratus. He put Wes Ikeda in his place and gave me the match I deserved after I was cheated out of the record for the longest Women's Championship reign.

Michael Cole: Don't you think that it was a little weird to be granted a rematch immediately after the last match, and after you viciously attacked Trish after the bell rung?

Natalya: This is why you're no longer at the booth, Michael. You keep injecting your irrelevant opinion into MY interview.

Michael Cole: Um, you approached me...

Natalya: Here's the truth of the matter. I am sick of this. Tonight, I'm putting a stop to the carousel of endless Women's title opportunities. From now on, the only people that get a shot at MY belt are the ones I deem worthy. It starts after I cripple those two worthless hags and make sure that they watch the next EBWF PPV from a hospital bed.

Michael Cole: Are you saying that you plan on seriously injuring Liv Morgan and Nikki Cross?

Natalya: It's about legacy, Michael. Since Christmas Eve of Destruction, I have spent every waking moment of my life working to improve my game, defend my championship, and cement my legacy of being the most dangerous woman in EBWF history. This idea that a woman like Liv Morgan can get shot after shot? What does that do to my legacy? It tarnishes it, that's what. I'm done being merciful. I'm done allowing my opponents to walk out under their own power. Tonight, I am putting a lid on Liv Morgan and Nikki Cross' time in the spotlight. It ends. Now.

Nattie crumpled up the Survivor Series card and flicked it at Cole's face. It bounced off his nose as she stormed off, EBWF Women's Championship belt in hand. Cole shrugged to the camera as it faded to black.
