MATCH ONE

Mauro Ranallo: Good evening and welcome to Christmas Eve of Destruction! As always, EBWF are ending the year by going EXTREME!

Corey Graves: It's the coldest time of the year, but it's one of the hottest nights on the EBWF calendar Mauro... what a night this promises to be!

Mauro Ranallo: Kicking things off tonight, Noam Dar defends the Breakout Title against Chris Hero in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight!

Scattered around the ringside area where Christmas trees, gifts and giant candy canes. Hero came to the ring first, then when he was in the ring, Noam Dar headed to the ring, accompanied by Tyler Breeze. Once both superstars were in the ring, the referee called for the bell. Hero hit Dar with a series of punches, then whipped him against the ropes. As Dar ran back towards him, Hero went for a discus elbow smash, but Dar ducked out of the way, then rolled out of the ring. Hero followed Dar to the outside, and Dar grabbed one of the giant candy canes, hitting Hero over the head with it. Hero staggered backwards, and Dar hit him with the candy cane once more, then threw him into one of the Christmas trees! The Christmas tree and Chris Hero both tumbled to the ground, and Dar went to grab Hero to toss him back into the ring. Hero fought back, shoving Dar away, before getting to his feet and throwing the Christmas tree at the Breakout Champion! Hero then hit Dar with the Cyclone Kill! He threw Dar back into the ring, then hooked the leg. The referee counted – 1... 2... Breeze pulled Hero out of the ring, breaking the count! Breeze hit Hero with a series of punches, then threw him into the ringside barrier and grabbed one of the gifts. He opened the wrapped box, pulling out a steel chair with a red bow tied around it. Breeze swung the chair at Hero... but Hero ducked out of the way! Hero then took the chair off Breeze, hitting him in the ribs with it then smashing the chair across Breeze's back. Hero re-entered the ring with the chair, but Dar was on his feet, and Dar hit a dropkick, kicking the chair into Hero's face! Hero dropped the chair and Noam Dar grabbed him, hitting a DDT onto the chair! Dar hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... Hero kicked out! Dar then pulled Hero to his feet and set him up for the GTF... but he couldn't lift Hero! Hero lifted Dar up onto his shoulders... and hit him with the Rubik's Cube! He hooked both legs and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3!

Corey Graves: It's over! We have a new champion!

The referee called for the bell and handed Hero the championship, then held his arm up in victory. Hero celebrated with the championship, then made his way to the back as the crowd cheered and applauded him.

MATCH TWO

Mauro Ranallo: Up next, we've got what promises to be an explosive encounter! The Miz defends the Gateway Championship against best friends turned enemies turned... allies? Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn!

Corey Graves: I still don't understand the dynamic between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, Mauro. It will be interesting to see how it plays out in this match.

"Fight" by CFO$ hit and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Kevin Owens made his way to the ring. Upon entering the ring, Owens looked up at the Gateway Championship, which was hanging above the ring, then looked down at the C4 which had been placed in and around the ring. Owens shook his head, then moved into the corner. "Worlds Apart" by CFO$ hit and Sami Zayn received another mixed reaction as he headed to the ring. Zayn danced ironically to his music, then nodded at Owens as he entered the ring. Unlike Owens, Zayn didn't seem fazed by the prospect of C4. Finally, "I Came To Play" by Downstait hit and the crowd cheered loudly as The Miz stepped out onto the stage. Miz looked confident as he walked down the ramp. Owens and Zayn exchanged a look, then rolled out of the ring and ran up the ramp, attacking Miz!

Mauro Ranallo: Owens and Zayn aren't waiting for Miz to get to the ring to start this match, Corey! They're trying to take him out before he even gets to the ring!

Owens and Zayn pummelled Miz with punches, then hit a double suplex on the ramp. Owens then went to grab a chair as Zayn stomped on Miz, trying to keep him grounded. As Owens grabbed the chair, Miz grabbed Zayn's leg, pushing him away, then got to his feet. Owens ran at Miz with the chair and swung it at him, but Miz blocked it, snatching the chair from Owens. Miz then drilled the chair into Owens' ribs, before turning around and hitting Zayn across the back with the chair. Miz hit Owens with a DDT onto the ramp, then turned his attention to Zayn, lifting him up and slamming him onto Owens. Miz then headed to the ring, grabbing a ladder and setting it up in the center of the ring. As Miz began to climb the ladder, Owens and Zayn rushed into the ring, pulling Miz down from the ladder. Owens then whipped Miz against the ropes, hitting a Pop Up Powerbomb onto the C4!

Corey Graves: Oh my god!

A "holy shit" chant broke out from the crowd, and Owens looked pleased with himself. With Miz KOed (no pun intended), Owens began to climb the ladder, but Zayn stopped him and pointed to the championship, making it clear that he wanted to be the Gateway Champion. Owens shook his head, yelling at Zayn "it's my time!" Zayn shrugged, then stepped back, allowing Owens to climb the ladder. Owens began to climb, but as he reached the halfway point, Zayn appeared to change his mind. He began to climb the other side of the ladder! The crowd cheered as Owens and Zayn began to argue at the top of the ladder. Owens went to reach for the title, but Zayn slapped his hand away. Zayn then went to reach for the title, but Owens pushed him in the chest, causing Zayn to lose his balance. Their arguing allowed Miz time to recover, and he got to his feet, pushing the ladder and sending Zayn and Owens toppling! Owens and Zayn landed on the ropes, with Owens falling out of the ring and Zayn landing inside the ring. As Zayn stumbled to his feet, Miz hit him with a Skull Crushing Finale! Miz then went to the outside to take care of Kevin Owens. Miz grabbed a steel chair and hit Owens across the back with it, then set up a table. He dragged Owens towards the table, but Owens fought back and tried to lift Miz up over his shoulders. Miz wriggled free and shoved Owens into the ring post! Owens looked dazed, and Miz put him onto the table. Miz climbed the turnbuckle, elbow dropping Owens through the table!

Mauro Ranallo: High risk there from The Miz! He's taken out Kevin Owens, but it looks like he's hurt himself in the process!

Corey Graves: This could be Sami Zayn's time to shine!

As Miz struggled to his feet outside the ring, inside the ring Sami Zayn was beginning to stir. As Miz got back into the ring, Sami Zayn got to his feet. Miz and Zayn exchanged right hands back and forth, and after gaining the upper and, Zayn set Miz up for the Blue Thunder Bomb. Miz blocked it, countering with a bulldog. He signalled for another Skull Crushing Finale, but before he could hit it, Kevin Owens attacked him from behind. Owens, through Miz into the corner, and hit him with the cannonball! Zayn then got to his feet, and Owens yelled at him to his the Helluva Kick. Owens set Miz up in the corner, and Zayn ran towards him... but Miz recovered and shoved Owens into Sami Zayn! Owens knocked Zayn down, and Miz took advantage, hitting Owens with a Skull Crushing Finale onto another C4!

Corey Graves: The Miz getting his revenge for earlier!

Mauro Ranallo: Owens has taken a lot of punishment in this match, Corey... he must be on Santa's naughty list!

As Miz got to his feet, Sami Zayn grabbed him, hitting a brainbuster. Zayn then rolled out of the ring, getting a table. He set the table up and then grabbed The Miz, setting him up for a powerbomb. Zayn went to lift Miz up... but Miz blocked it and countered with a back body drop, sending Zayn through the table! With both Owens and Zayn down, Miz began to climb the ladder. As Miz got to the top of the ladder, Owens and Zayn began to stir. They rushed towards the ladder, but as they got there, Miz unhooked the championship! The referee called for the bell and Miz's music began to play. The referee ordered Zayn and Owens to take a step back, so Miz could climb down from the ladder. As Owens and Zayn argued with the referee, Miz jumped from the ladder, hitting them both with a double crossbody! The crowd cheered, and Miz smiled. He then exited the ring and made his way up the ramp before Zayn and Owens could seek retribution.

Mauro Ranallo: What a match that was, Corey! We've got Chris Jericho versus Syxx up next!

MATCH THREE

After a video package recapping Chris Jericho's history with Jimmy Havoc and Havoc's announcement that Syxx was returning to EBWF, "F.E." by 40 Below Summer hit and the crowd cheered as Syxx made his way to the ring.

Corey Graves: A former Intercontinental, X-Division and Tag Team Champion... this St. Louis crowd is pleased to see Syxx back in EBWF!

Mauro Ranallo: And what a way to return... a flaming tables match!

After Syxx had entered the ring, "Break The Walls Down" hit and the crowd booed as Chris Jericho headed to the ring. Jericho was wearing a singlet, which seemed to amuse both Syxx and the fans.

Mauro Ranallo: Jericho sporting a new look here! Presumably he's trying to protect himself from harm in case he gets put through a flaming table.

Around the ring were lighters and lighter fluid, along with tables (of course). Once Jericho was in the ring, the referee called for the bell and the two men locked up. Syxx put Jericho in a headlock, but Jericho fought out of it and whipped Syxx against the ropes, before hitting a dropkick. Both men got to their feet and Jericho threw Syxx into the corner, then hit him with a series of punches. He pulled Syxx out of the corner, hitting a suplex, then went back to the corner and began to unhook the top turnbuckle pad. The referee tried to stop Jericho, but Jericho shoved him away.

Corey Graves: The referee is powerless to stop Jericho here... anything goes!

After unhooking the turnbuckle pad, Jericho turned his attention back to Syxx... but Syxx was on his feet, and he hit Jericho with the Syxx Kick! Jericho rolled out of the ring, and Syxx followed Jericho to the outside. Syxx threw Jericho into the ring steps, then set up a table at ringside. Before Syxx could set the table alight, Jericho got to his feet and he threw Syxx into the ringside barrier, then hit him with a series of punches. Jericho lifted Syxx over his shoulders, then dropped him onto the barrier. Syxx cried out in pain as his ribs landed on the top of the barrier. Jericho then set the table on fire, and grabbed Syxx, but Syxx fought back with some punches. As both men tried to seize control, the flame on the table went out. Frustrated, Jericho tossed Syxx back into the ring. After re-entering the ring, Jericho dragged Syxx to his feet, dragging him towards the corner with the exposed turnbuckle. Jericho went to slam Syxx's head against the turnbuckle, but Syxx blocked it, slamming Jericho's head against the exposed turnbuckle! Jericho tried out in pain, and as he staggered away from the corner, Syxx grabbed him, hitting the X-Factor! Syxx then rolled out of the ring, grabbing a table and sliding it into the ring. Syxx set the table up in the ring, then set the table alight. As Jericho got to his feet, he saw the flaming table and shook his head. After shouting out "no!", Jericho rolled out of the ring and began running up the ramp. Syxx ran after him, and as Jericho reached the top of the ramp, Jimmy Havoc walked through the curtain with a team of security guards.

Mauro Ranallo: Nowhere for Jericho to go now!

Security were blocking both sides of the stage, with Havoc and more security blocking the curtain and Syxx behind him. Jericho looked panicked. Suddenly, he rushed towards the set at the top of the stage... and began climbing it! Havoc watched on with amusement as Syxx climbed up the set after Jericho.

Corey Graves: What was Jericho thinking? The only way to go from there is down!

Mauro Ranallo: I think the only thing Jericho is thinking is that he wants to get as far away from Syxx and the flaming tables as possible!

Above the stage entrance was a platform, and Syxx followed Jericho onto the platform, where the two men fought back and forth. Syxx looked to be gaining the upper hand, and Havoc got a table, setting it up underneath the set then lighting it on fire. Havoc yelled up to Syxx, then pointed to the flaming table. Syxx nodded, and went to throw Jericho off the set... but Jericho pulled Syxx down with him! Both men crashed through the table simultaneously, and the referee called for the bell!

Corey Graves: I guess it’s a draw, Mauro!

Havoc looked pleased, and he applauded the efforts of both men, then walked back through the curtain as EMTs tended to Syxx and Jericho.
