"BBBRRRAAAUUUNNN!"
Mauro Ranallo: Happy New Year and welcome to the first Warfare of 2018! Tonight, we're kicking things off with Braun Strowman versus Sami Callihan!
Callihan was already in the ring, and Strowman glared at him as he walked down the ramp. When Strowman was in the ring, the referee called for the bell and Strowman charged at Callihan, taking him down with a clothesline. Callihan got to his feet and Strowman threw him into the corner, then hit him with a chop to the chest. Callihan struggled out of the corner, and Strowman whipped him against the ropes, then hit a big boot. Strowman put his foot on Callihan's chest and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout!
Corey Graves: It might be a new year but some things stay the same... Braun Strowman is dominating his opponent like always!
Strowman pulled Callihan to his feet, and threw him back into the corner. The camera then cut to the stage, where Nikki Cross and Don Callis had just walked through the curtain. Cross and Callis stood together at the top of the ramp, watching the action.
Mauro Ranallo: What are they doing out here?
Corey Graves: Well before the show, Don Callis offered his managerial services to Braun Strowman... it seems Callis wants to keep a close eye on the Monster Among Men!
Strowman glared at Callis, then turned his attention back to Callihan. Strowman charged at Callihan, going for a bodypress... but Callihan moved out of the way! As Strowman turned around, Callihan hit him with a kick to the midsection, then set him up for a DDT... but Strowman blocked it and lifted Callihan up, hitting a huge spinebuster! Both men got to their feet, and Strowman lifted Callihan over his shoulders, then hit a running powerslam! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3!
Mauro Ranallo: Well I hope Don Callis liked what he say... another impressive victory for Braun Strowman!
Strowman celebrated, then made his way up the ramp. As he reached the top of the ramp, Don Callis tried to speak to him, but Strowman pushed past him and made his way backstage.
Corey Graves: We're getting ready for some women's action!
Summer's theme hit and the last remaining Mean Girl stormed to the ring, ready to fight for Eva Marie's honor. "Kiss from a Rose" hit and the crowd gave a mixed reaction to Mandy Rose.
Mauro Ranallo: The Golden Goddess shocked the world at Christmas Eve of Destruction when she pinned Natalya and became the new EBWF Women's Champion.
Corey Graves: Summer seems pretty confident Mauro.
Mauro Ranallo: Confident doesn't always win wrestling matches, Corey.
Mandy got right in Summer's face once inside the ring, holding the women's championship belt up in her face. Summer hauled off and slapped Mandy, and the crowd made an audible "ooooohhh". Summer than dipped back between the second and third rope as the referee tried to restore order. Once the timekeeper had been given Mandy's belt, the referee rang the bell.
Corey Graves: Here we go!
Summer immediately got out of the ring. Mandy followed to run her mouth, leaning over the top rope to tell Summer off. Summer reached up and snapped Mandy off of the ropes before hitting a spin kick for the two count. Summer got back into the ring and applied a chin lock, but Mandy fought her way up. Summer snapped her back down, and talked some trash to Mandy. Mandy overpowered her to the corner and shouldered her in the midsection. Mandy hit a running double knee before following up with a double knee takedown. She went for the pin.

Kickout!
Summer kneed her in the midsection, but Mandy came back with a back elbow. Mandy ducked a spin kick, but Summer countered out of the Angel's Wings. Summer rolled her up, but Mandy rolled through to apply the modified octopus hold. The crowd cheered.
Corey Graves: Is Mandy going to do it again?
Mauro Ranallo: Yes, she is!
As Mauro spoke, Summer Rae began tapping.
Corey Graves: Mandy Rose is the real deal! This is unbelievable.
The referee gave Mandy back her title, and raised her hand in victory as EBWF went to commercial.
Mauro Ranallo: Still to come, we've got champion versus champion as the Gateway Champion, The Miz, takes on the new Breakout Champion, Chris Hero. Up first though, we've got former World Champion PJ Black in action as he goes one on one with Tommaso Ciampa!
Corey Graves: PJ still hasn't had his rematch since losing the World Title at Survivor Series... I'm sure he'll be looking to make a statement against Ciampa here tonight!
"Psycho Killer" by Talking Heads hit and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Tommaso Ciampa made his way to the ring. When Ciampa was in the ring, "Sick of It" by Skillet hit and PJ Black came out to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Upon entering the ring, Black glared at his opponent, who stared right back at him. The referee called for the bell, and Black and Ciampa exchanged right hands back and forth. Ciampa gained the upper hand, and he went to hit Black with a clothesline, but Black ducked out of the way, then hit Ciampa with an enzuigiri. Ciampa staggered backwards, and Black whipped him against the ropes, before hitting a dropkick. Both men got to their feet, and Black hit a jumping back kick, then followed it up with a springboard moonsault! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout!
Mauro Ranallo: Incredible athleticism there by PJ Black! The Darewolf is taking the fight to Ciampa!
Black pulled Ciampa to his feet and whipped him into the corner, then hit him with a series of chops. Ciampa fought back, grabbing Black and throwing him into the corner, then hitting him with some chops of his own. Ciampa pulled Black out of the corner, and lifted him over his shoulder, setting him up for the back-to-belly piledriver, but Black countered with a tornado DDT!
Corey Graves: What a counter!
Black hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout! Black got to his feet and stomped on Ciampa several times, then pulled him to his feet and hit a Russian legsweep. Black punched Ciampa against the ring mat several times, then hit a spinning leg drop. He hooked the leg once more – 1... 2... again Ciampa kicked out! Black looked frustrated, and he pulled Ciampa to his feet, whipping him into the corner. Black ran at Ciampa, going for a corner clothesline, but Ciampa moved out of the corner and grabbed him, hitting a reverse STO into the turnbuckle!
Mauro Ranallo: If this was a cartoon, we'd be seeing stars around Black's head right now!
Ciampa rolled Black away from the ropes, then hooked the leg. The referee counted – 1... 2... kickout! Ciampa pulled Black to his feet, and set him up for Project Ciampa. He lifted Black up... but Black countered with a hurricanrana! Both men got to their feet, and Ciampa went for a high knee, but Black ducked out of the way, then hit Black to the Future! He went to the top rope... and hit Ciampa with the 450 Splash! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3!
Corey Graves: It's over! PJ Black gets the victory!
Mauro Ranallo: An impressive performance from Black, and it helps the South African superstar build some momentum as he seeks to regain the EBWF World Title!
Black celebrated as Warfare went to commercial.
Christy Hemme announced the arrival of Chris Hero before "I Came to Play" hit the PA and The Miz proceeded out to the ring.
Corey Graves: Still to come, we will hear from our new EBWF World Champion CM Punk, but first, in ring competition between The Miz and your hero's hero, Chris Hero.
The bell rang and Hero tried a quick series of rollups early. Miz avoided the Cyclone Kill and rolled to the ropes quickly. Miz got a knee up on Hero, who reversed it into a backslide.

Miz scrambled out.
Mauro Ranallo: Hero trying to make short work of Miz here.
Hero dropped the elbow, and went for a wild discuss clothesline. Miz used his momentum to toss Hero over the ropes to the outside. Miz attempted a dropkick through the ropes, but Hero moved out of the way, and jumped back into the ring. Miz stared him down from the floor and slid back into the ring. Hero began pummelling him with right hands in the corner. Miz got the inverted DDT and neckbreaker combo, and tried to go for the pin, but Hero catapulted him into the second rope. Miz recovered and stomped Hero into the corner. Miz hit a running dropkick and followed it up with a corner clothesline. Miz went up to the top rope.
Corey Graves: Not so sure that's a good idea, Miz!
Hero hit Miz with a right hand, and Miz splashed the corner and missed. Hero bounced Miz's face off of the corner repeatedly. He rushed the corner clothesline and moved fluidly into the running bulldog combo. Hero dropped an elbow to Miz's neck, and then went back up top for the flying elbow.

Hero hit the Hangman's Clutch Facebuster for another two count. Hero was growing frustrated and propped Miz up in the corner, hitting him with both boots. Hero helped Miz up by the arm but the cunning contender dropped Hero jaw first off the top rope and hit the Skull Crushing Finale. He covered.

"I Came to Play!"
Christy Hemme announced Miz as the victor as Warfare went to commercial.
As Warfare returned from commercial we are greeted by the announcers Mauro and Corey.
Corey Graves: After a great Warfare tonight we’re ending it on a high note, we’re set to here from the new EBWF Champion...CM Punk!
Mauro Ranallo: He left a pipe bomb in the ring early in the night at CEOD and then beat AJ Styles in the 3 Stages of Hell Match! He came back to beat AJ and take the title and he did just that!
The footage cuts to images of Punk and Styles in the Main Event.
“Cult of Personality” blared through the arena as CM Punk made his way onto the ramp in his usual gear and hoodie. He did his “Clobbering time” pose and span with his back to the crowd, unzipped his hoodie and revealed the EBWF World Championship.
Corey Graves: There it is! The prize that was on offer at CEOD, Punk won with a score of 2-1! He set out to get it and get it he has!
He made his way into the ring and requested a microphone from Christy Hemme who obliged.
“CM Punk” chants echoed in the arena.
CM Punk: Thank you. Honestly, thank you. I wouldn’t be back here if it wasn’t for you.
“Thank you Punk” chants started.
CM Punk: I’ve been thinking a lot since I beat AJ Styles on Christmas Eve, about AJ, PJ Black, this title and this company. I shouldn’t be the one holding this title right now, it SHOULD be PJ Black. Now PJs gonna enter the Rumble And has to earn his shot? I know I told him too but you’d think he could get his rematch and AJ should get a rematch right? Possibly setting up a triple threat but that’s not the case, 30 men will battle it out to see who gets to face me for this title and honestly...I don’t deserve this. I’ve sorta become what I hated, part timers coming in and taking titles and it sucks. I came back to beat AJ Styles, this was never about the title between me and AJ. I wanted to put him in his place and I think I did just that, he hasn’t said anything since so maybe even just for a little bit I’ve shut him up and I’d call that a victory. With all that being said, I’d like to call out the GM of EBWF, Jimmy Havoc. Jimmy, could you join me in the ring?
“I Hope You Suffer” played as a suited up Jimmy Havoc made his way down to the ring and grabbed a mic.
CM Punk: You look so dumb in a suit by the way, stick to skinny jeans and hot topic T-Shirts.
The crowd laughed as Havoc looked annoyed.
CM Punk: In all seriousness though, I wanted you down here because I’m going to make the biggest decision in EBWFs modern history.
Punk removed the belt from his waist and held it in both hands, he placed it over his shoulder.
CM Punk: I criticised AJ Styles trying to take someone’s Wrestlemania Main Event and I’m doing just that by holding this title. So Jimmy, I hereby vacate the EBWF World Championship.
The crowd gasped as Punk put the title over Jimmys shoulder.
CM Punk: It looks good on you, you should win that sometime. I’m still gonna be here, waiting for the next superstar to run his mouth. I’ll come back and beat their ass, don’t think I’m going away forever because I’m not, I’m just laying this title down so the next best superstar, maybe the next CM Punk can take this title and do wonderful things with it. Thanks for the opportunity Jimmy, see ya around.
Jimmy looked stunned as he held the World Title, Punk dropped his mic and walked out of the ring and up the ramp.
Jimmy Havoc: EBWF Universe, please give a huge fucking round of applause to CM Punk!
The crowd clapped as Punk bowed back to them, he shouted “Best in the World” as he made his way through the curtain. Jimmy was left on his own in the ring.
Jimmy Havoc: Now what you’ve heard is obviously a huge shock, but don’t worry. I’ve got an idea, you’re gonna love it.
Jimmy dropped his mic and walked out the ring.
Corey Graves: CM Punk Just vacated the title Mauro!
Mauro Ranallo: That’s the biggest Pipebomb I think Punk could’ve dropped! What does this mean for the EBWF Main Event?!
The shot focused on The World Title on Jimmys shoulders as Warfare went off the air.
