RENEE YOUNG
“Please welcome my guest at this time; she is the EBWF Women’s Champion, Mandy Rose.”
The camera panned out as Mandy stepped into frame. With the EBWF Women’s Championship on her shoulder, Mandy stood next to Renee with a smile of her own across her face.
MANDY ROSE
“Hi, Renee. You look nice.”
RENEE YOUNG
“Thank y-”
MANDY ROSE
“Not as nice as I do, of course. Nobody does, actually. Especially since I wear this baby at all times.”
Mandy glanced at her championship and lightly patted it. Renee, although not amused, nodded.
RENEE YOUNG
“Speaking of…Mandy, since you’ve arrived in EBWF, you’ve definitely made a name for yourself. From the attack on Eva Marie, to winning the first ever women’s Elimination Chamber and becoming the EBWF Women’s Champion, a lot of people had their doubts if you’d be able to keep that momentum going, but you’ve done just that. How does it feel?”
MANDY ROSE
“Honestly? It feels amazing. I mean, believe me, I knew from the beginning that I’d completely dominate this division, but the fact that there’s absolutely no room for anyone to even attempt to dispute it at this point is very satisfying.”
The Women’s Champion smirked, arrogantly.
MANDY ROSE
“It’s barely been a month since I first arrived in EBWF, and look at me. I’ve done what no woman has ever done before. I’m what you call ‘untouchable’ in every sense of the word. Not only is the legacy I’ve already created unmatched by anything any woman has done in EBWF history thus far, it will be unmatched until the very end of EBWF history. And that’s a fact.”
RENEE YOUNG
“While I’m sure there are people out there who would agree, holding that title alone means you already have a target on your back as it is, so I think it’s safe to say that making claims like that one only makes that target even bigger.”
MANDY ROSE
“Yeah, and? Let me tell you something, Renee, I’ve had a target on my back since I was a teenager. That’s just how it is when you look the way I do. I’m used to it. So, let the target be as big as Summer Rae’s forehead. Or bigger even! Not a single one of these women around here intimidate me. Need I remind you how I’ve already beaten over half of them?”
RENEE YOUNG
“No. I think you made that pretty clear last-”
MANDY ROSE
“Exactly. But just for kicks, let’s run down the list one more time. Alexa Bliss? Check. Nikki Cross? Check. Liv Morgan? Check. Summer Rae? Check. Trish Stratus? Check. Natalya? Check. I don’t know who’s next, but I guarantee they’ll have a check mark next to their name on my defeated list just as fast as all the rest.”
RENEE YOUNG
“I happen to know who your next opponent will be, if you’re interested.”
MANDY ROSE
“Well, look at you on top of things! Humor me.”
RENEE YOUNG
“Tonight, you’ll be facing Velvet Sky.”
Mandy flashed Renee a look that read “Are you serious?” before audibly chuckling. She looked down, shaking her head.
MANDY ROSE
“I’m sorry, I just forgot that Velvet Sky even worked here still – that’s hilarious. I stand by what I said. She’ll go down just as quickly as everyone else.”
RENEE YOUNG
“Surely you know she’s a former Women’s Champion in her own right.”
MANDY ROSE
“…AND?!”
She laughs once again.
MANDY ROSE
“Natalya, Trish, and Alexa are former Women’s Champions too. And guess what? I still beat them. What makes Velvet any different? Nothing. Please…she wasn’t even good enough to be chosen for the Elimination Chamber, which is embarrassing considering how she’s the third longest tenured in the division. If I were her, I wouldn’t even want to show my face around here after that harsh of a snub. Just like the other has-beens around here, Velvet is past her prime. The Beautiful People – who weren’t nearly as beautiful as I am, mind you – fizzled out a long time ago. And while I understand that Velvet is still clinging to the thin strand of hope that she can make something of herself again, it’s time she finally gets the message that she’s better off sitting at home in her $5.99 hot topic t-shirts than she is trying to keep up with someone of my caliber, and I’ll be happy to deliver that message to her.”
Grinning, Mandy turned her focus to the camera, pointing to the championship title as she did so.
MANDY ROSE
“Take a good look at this, Velvet. This means that I’m better than you. It means that I’m better than everyone. It’s not 2011 anymore, honey, it’s 2018. And 2018 is the year of the Golden Goddess. You’re just living in it…as my next victim.”
With that, she winked and strutted away in all her glory. Renee looked on with a look of disapproval on her face as the scene faded to black.
