Friday, January 26, 2018: EBWF House Show, Tucson, Arizona

"True Love" by CFO$ hit and the crowd booed as Mike Kanellis made his way to the ring, accompanied by his wife Maria. As they entered the ring, ring announcer Christy Hemme introduced them. Mike thanked her, then took the microphone from her. As his music was cut, Mike began to speak.

Mike Kanellis: Tucson, Arizona, let me ask you a question. Who here is in love?

A few people cheered, but they were mostly drowned out by boos. Mike shook his head, looking disappointed.

Mike Kanellis: For those of you who are in love, congratulations. For those of you who aren't, I feel sorry for you. Because there is no greater feeling. Let me ask you all another question. Who here is excited for the Royal Rumble this Sunday?

Everybody cheered. Mike nodded.

Mike Kanellis: I knew you would be. That's one love we all share... a love of professional wrestling. For Maria and I, this Sunday represents opportunity. For Maria, a chance to earn a shot at the Women's Championship. For me, an opportunity to become the new EBWF World Champion!

The crowd booed at the prospect of Mike Kanellis winning the World Title.

Mike Kanellis: It's an amazing opportunity, and one I'm excited about, but the truth is, having Maria by my side makes me feel like a World Champion every single day. Being with her is like being in the Wrestlemania main event, except it's an excitement that never ends. So on Sunday, when I step into the ring with 29 other superstars, I am going to teach them all the power of love! I will...

"BBBRRRAAAUUUNNNN!!!"

Before Mike could say anything else, he was interrupted by Braun Strowman.
