Last Effort?

The last time Curt Hawkins had been seen on television the former Breakout Champion had tried to join up with The Shield in a bid for self preservation. He had always been a treacherous and deceitful person so it wasn't too shocking to have seen him attempt something like this. But things didn't go as well as Hawkins had envisioned and he was given a harsh beat down by the group that kept him laying low. He was going to be thought of as a traitor by the rest of the roster so he did his best to keep hidden while licking his wounds. But the announcement of the King of the Ring had brought him out hiding. But even then he kept himself restricted to the parking lot of the arena where Warfare was going to take place. His face was unshaven and his eyes had heavy, dark bags underneath of them. Hawkins didn't look all that comfortable being on camera and his eyes constantly shifted about. Todd Grisham looked as though he didn't even want to interview him.

Todd Grisham: "Joining me currently is one of the participants in the King of the Ring: Curt Hawkins.."

Hawkins picked up on the lack of emotion in Todd's voice and shot him an awful glare.

Todd Grisham: "We'll keep the focus on your first round match up.."

Curt Hawkins: "Shut up, Todd. Quit looking at me like I did something wrong. It's not like anyone in the EBWF was on my band wagon or trying to get me into main events!"

Todd Grisham: "That might be because you've turned on anyone that's ever considered you a friend.."

Curt Hawkins: "Who am I wrestling? Just tell my opponent so I can get out of here."

Todd Grisham: "Well..it's Trent?"

The scowl that had appeared on Hawkins' face said everything. He despised his former friend and constant enemy more than anyone else on the planet and that had been very evident when detailing their very long history.

Curt Hawkins: "Oh, that's real cute. Does someone think this is funny? Random draw my ass! You know what? I'm sick of this place. SICK."

Hawkins ran his hand through his hair while practically grinding his teeth together.

Curt Hawkins: "I hate that kid. If I can't beat him..if I can't give him the beating he deserves..I'll quit! I'll walk right out of this arena and you won't see me again!

After shoving Todd aside, Hawkins snatched his bag of gear and headed into the arena.
