WrestleZone.com:
Speculation is that former EBWF world champion Alex Shelley will indeed debut with World Wrestling Entertainment at Night of Champions in his home town of Detroit this Sunday. Shelley was spotted back home in Detroit after spending several years overseas in Japan and had been telling people that he was once again involved with American wrestling but would not specify for what company or in what capacity.
Patrick Martin, 30, is a noted personal friend of EBWF owner Wes Ikeda but may be purposely avoiding a return to the company due to his falling out many years ago with former girlfriend (and Ikeda's sister) Nicole Ikeda who is now married to Randy Orton. WWE's pursuit of Shelley is said to be a direct result of the company's inability to land current EBWF champion (and Wes Ikeda's brother-in-law) Randy Orton.
At this time this is only a rumor, but all sources indicate that Shelley is indeed a member of WWE.
